Oven french fries. Made them last night. Fresh, real potatoes, peeled and cut. Tossed in a bit of oil and then I seasoned these with rosemary salt, onion powder, some with Forest Gump's Seafood Seasoning mix I bought at the MOA, and a dash of white pepper which I seem to like on everything these days. Stick them in at 450 and toss occasionally until they are done the way you like them.

When I want them real crisp I add some cornstarch into the seasoning mixture and toss them on a paper plate so I make almost no mess making these.

This was an ad I saw on TV quite a while ago....
A bunch of college age guys were driving around in an old jalopy of a car. It was not quite clear what the ad was about until they stopped, opened the hood, and checked on the pot full of KD (Kraft Dinner) they were cooking near the radiator!!
Driver guy tasted the KD and decided it was not quite done yet, so they drove around some more with (I think) the tunes cranked up......
LMAO!!!!!!

why limit this post to bachelors? I'll admit I have bachelor type tendencies. I eat waffles. My specialty is the mighty omelet and Ramen noodles with tapatio.

Ramen noodles? Is that like ichiban? I just eat those noodles out of the package, no need to waste time cooking them....

OTB.
Maybe a good store cooked meal in a throw away container would be best for you. No muss no fuss, just eat and toss.

How abt fry up some ground beef drain, add can of drained green beans, add a can of tomato soup, premade or frozen mashed potatoes to top, add spices if you like and top off with american cheese and nuke till hot. Or this can all be done in a electric frying pan, when finished, add a lil water, dish soap and turn on low till water is hot, wash and rinse. No sink required
Almost forgot the loaf of bread and the 12 pack of Bud

I cooked for 2 months in a garage with no sink to wash dishes in, nothing more than an electric frying pan and a crock pot. Canned bisquits turned out great in electric fry pan. Just dont forget to turn them or the other side wont brown.

Hashbrown patties cooked, add precooked sausage, mix up a few eggs with a lil milk, poor on top. You may top with cheeses

I will bake Chicken, add carrots, potatoes, cook all together with your choice of seasoning. Add wild rice & brown rice in a pot, and you got your meal. Its healthy and great tasting.

This is fascinating ! I too hate to cook/clean up. Those plastic disposable dishes are great. You microwave in them(for out of the can) and plates are tossable.Who washes dishes? I want to go play.My dishwasher stores paper bags...lol.
Does anyone have a microwave EASY cook book? I found a nonmicrowave cook book of 3 ingredient meals. It leaves out the salt and additives since it uses whole foods. My heart needs all the help it can get...lol. I hate to turn on an oven for a small single person thing.Eating the same food for 7 days once a roast is cooked..zzzz..lol.
I would like a microwave 3 ingredient cook book !! I hate eating alone and usually go for the trisquit crackers with odd items added in. Or I use my 3 ingredient book on days off.

If you know how to make Spaghetti meat sauce, seperate the meat sauce you want to make with your spaghetti and in another pot with meat sauce add beans.

If you enjoy soups, buy a crock pot, add the food you wish, set it and when your return later, you soup or stew is ready.

You can ground up beef, drain the fat off the pan, add seasoning, buy tortia soft shells, sour cream, grated cheese, salsa, chopped lettuce, onions, tomotoe, and you have soft burritto.

You can buy premade salads, add dressing and you have it ready.

I may be young but was taught how to cook and fend for myself when no grown ups were around at a young age, so as a bachelor I like to have the following in my fridge or pantry.

Pasta noodles
Pasta sauces
( Doesn't take a genius to learn how to cook such an easy meal )

Flaked tuna cans
Asian sauces & rice noodles sometimes egg noodles if I make it out to TNT market
Big packs of chicken breasts, defrost them you can grill em you can make chinese food with em pretty dam simple.

Big box of ready noodles, Never know when you want a quick 5 minnutes meal

fruits some vegies ( get multi vitamins because sometimes you don;t always have fruits and veggies on hand )

Steak I like my meats

Pork chops

Lamb shanks ( so friggen good )

peanut butter

strawberry jam ( only when i'm lazy )

the list goes on, but those are essentials throughout my week.

do you want to eat like a king every day and every meal?

buy thee a rice cooker

the greatest invention ever made

make sure it has a steam tray - bought 8 years ago and use it twice a day every day
$17 at frys electronics

simplicity itself and i eat excellent tasty and inexpensive meals always

an example: today i prepared rice and a 1/4 marinated chicken cooked with red onion, chilis and garlic with steamed greens

cost: the rice is a bulk stable which works out to 5 cents/meal, 1/4 chick 68 cents,
red onion 15 cents, garlic 12 cents, greens 33 cents a bunch - total: $1.33
plus it was enough food for 2 meals, so 66 cents/meal

cleanup a snap - rinse the cooking pot with warm water and a single spoon

and oh, i forgot, a 24oz can of old milwakee beer - 75 cents out the door
one of the very few advantages of living in inner city l.a.

bon appetite

I always thought those HUNGRY MAN DINNERS from swanson are a typical bachelor dinner.
Might as well call it bachelor chow.

Jo-louis(half moons), brownies, beer, and cold pizza is usually my friends weekend breakfast.

i like tuna with rice and a taco seasoning packet-

upon occassion of no other food in house, the kid and i have also had mustard sandwhichs.

or a can of tuna in a swanson's mac n cheese.

how about polish saugage wrapped in two tortillas or two pieces of crust less bread amounting into a poor man weiner wrap. (that's right, i said weiner wrap)

if you get the salisbury steaks and tater tots, mush up the tater tots into make shift mashed potatoes and use gravy from salisbury steaks.

anything with a can of corn added is a cassarole.

i have trained my son to eat sandwhichs made out of anything and at em over the sink as to not dirty up the dishes.

i hope i have helped.
