Way to go Colin Campbell. Much like Bewhoozi. Detroit still deseves no more cups as long as he be there too. Hope Isles and Devils(verdict still out on that one too),yankees go home. Tucker's come a long way since then. Gotten two BIG contracts and Olmpic Gold. Hey he's re-signed and Leafs doing better, what's up with Sundin though? BRING ON The Play-Offs .

When did Tucker ever get Olympic gold? He's not Olympic material and never will be. He's a slug who doesn't belong in the league and is extremely overrated.

I think the suspension of Simon was reasonable......

And by the way, it was Domi who was suspended for the hit on Niedermayer, not Tucker...... I love Darcy Tucker and the way he plays...... I was sick when the rangers traded for Sean Avery, being I HATED him more than any other player in the NHL... But he has surprised me since becoming a Blueshirt.....He draws at least 3 pp's for the rangers per game.... I could care less if he turtled during a fight (LOL), just keep annoying the other team.......

Avery plays alot like Tucker, but Tucker can find the net..... LOL

And Tucker will never change. He got benched so may times when playing here, always came back ans scored 2-3 goals a nite instead 0f 1 or 2. He obviously isn't leaving toronto either, other teams could only wish. The only downside is,his chances of wining the Cup there. Or winning any trophies as a professional period. i do believe he was on the Nagano olympic team.

musicnut, Tucker was never on the Canadian Olympic Men's Hockey Team.... Google the team to see... But I assure you, he was never talented enough to even be considered.....

Looks like our American Friends can catch the NHL on the food network next year.
Of course the other options were E!, Golf channel and Cartoon network.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry at this one.

That only be because Toronto got Sundin.Watch what would happen if they lost him. Case in point,he's not re-signed yet because of yapping at refs constanly.GO TUCKER GO. I would be all for booting those damn yankees into thier own professional league.Heck might even get them olympic gold again. BRING IT ON.

??? Sundin is signed till the end of next year and Stunned Tucker is signed till 2011
Tucker is all emotion and can win a game with that alone but at the same time
that loose cannon approach has lost them more games than they've won
personally I hate yappy little guys who can't back up their mouths but if any team uses them more effectively than Toronto I haven't seen them

No Tucker was not on the team in Nagano and even if he would have been Canada did not win gold at Nagano.

He was at the camp though,I do believe. You see out west we miss-out on back east going-ons sometimes. More focused on our own teams. Thanks for any clarifications. So looks like Toronto be going in the right direction. They be a lot like Anahiem or Dallas . Unfortunately ,the Buffalo's,New Jerseys,Rangers and Penquins be in thier way.

Mike Modano hit #500 -- geez not bad for a guy who has had a crappy couple of past years.
I am not sure, but I know he is like 2 away from being the all-time leading american for goals, not sure about points

Fokk Tucker he's no friend of Dylan's
Modano would have been a superstar in Minnesota
My sleepers would have to be The Ducks in the west
and Devils {if they become overly offensive }and Thrashers
if their goalie stands on his head
lots of ifs in the east but I think that's where the cups gonna end up

You could be right about that. But it could be Toronto in the east or Vancouver out west too. Just remember what the Oilers almost pulled off last year. Never say never. Any team could suprise you. The Cup will probably come west if Buffalo?Pittsburgh get knicked-out early. Should be Colorado or Anahiem but a few teams might have a say in that, like Calgary or San Jose.

First off Toronto has to make it, as of right now they aren't even in, and if they do make it I don't think they have the depth to handle getting past the second round....may sneak past the first but then they will be worn out. I don't think you will see any sleeper teams this year, I think this playoffs might keep the top teams around for the distance. I think you might see the first or second seed team from each side in the finals this year whick would make for great finals. If I had to pick a sleeper team from each side I think I would take Pittsburgh from the East (just because of youth and energy, but there is a little depth) and Calgary from the West (only if Iggy and Husselius stay hot and Kipper gets back on a roll). But truthfully I think you will see the division winners go the distance this year.

flames still have a shot at winning the northwest a really good one at that. with one game remaing between flames and nucks, flames take that, win the game in hand and we are tied. with the first tie break to the nucks. not really much if we can start winning on the road.

lots of tems from the west can do damage this year, edge going to preds, wings, flames, and wild id say nucks dont score enough to win in the playoffs, ducks are breakable, sharks have cooled off, and stars lack of goal scoring.

as the laast 3 season's have shown whatever teams find that "x" factor first will go deep. there is something that all great playoff teams have and it only happens at playoffs but it great to see a team come together in that way.

i love playoffs
go flames go
in sutter we trust

Yeah things can still change alot especially in the East. I think the West is pretty much set for teams, positions will still change quite a bit but the East is pretty tight from 6th to about 11th or so. Calgary definitely still has a chance to win the division, its gonna depend alot on how Kipper plays and if their Captain remains hot. Luongo is the big factor in Vancouver.....he can steal games for a team but they still have to find the back of the net themselves which might be a problem.

Whoever the hottest team going into the playoffs is will have a legit chance to knock off the top of the conference. That's why the 8th place team is always a threat, especially if they're barely squeezing in to the playoffs like the Eastern 7th/8th seeds will be this season. Every year people say "I don't see this 8th place team lasting 5 games against this 1st place team" and every year there's an upset, I don't think anything's going to be different this year, and frankly that's what makes playoff hockey that great....I hate sweeps!
...unless it's an American team being swept ;)

I think we all know where the League and the American would like the Cup to go. Case in point be what edmondton did last year. There be eight teams out west that could do that this year. Some teams should do well, others get lucky, some just suprise you. The statistic say one thing. Circumstances say other wise. GO ALL CANADIAN TEAMS GO.

I have just quickly glanced over what has been said in the past page or so of this thread, so forgive me if I'm repeating what has already been said.

Going in to this years play offs, I think that there's more chance then ever that the cup will be awarded to a Canadian team when is all said and done. I'd really love to see Vancouver win, there's just something that doesn't do it for me to actually have confidence in saying that I think they'll go all the way.. maybe it is the scoring.. or lack there of; at least there's a goalie that can win the 2-1, 3-2 games in Luongo. The worst part is when the Naslund line, or the Sedins line decide not to show up for a game, they really don't show up... the two lines were nearly invisible last night.. but who knows. I don't see the Flames taking it either, their road record is far too poor... even they're tied last for road wins with LA at 9... even Philly has a better record. Ottawa is looking half decent.. but they always find a way to blow it in the end though.

Ultimately, I hope that Vancouver pulls it together, but frankly, I'd take any Canadian team winning this year.

i think the blues got a great deal in the brad boyes trade. He has a couple goals and atleast a point in almost every game-although a small sample
