| Hockey anyone? Posted: 5/16/2007 8:34:47 PM | Way to go Sabers!
Pronger got suspended for game four for his hit on Holmstrom last night. I thought he went high when I saw it live. The replay shows he did.
Tough for the Ducks, but when you play by thuggery you can die by thuggery.
Go Wings !!!!!! | |

|
| Hockey anyone? Posted: 5/18/2007 7:36:08 PM | ^^^
Although, if they hadn't been hosting, perhaps they would have made more of an effort to beat the Tigers. We'll never know. ()By the way, the Giants just scored again; 2-1 over Plymouth. )
Go SENS!!! | |
|
| Hockey anyone? Posted: 5/18/2007 8:04:23 PM | ^^^ True, but the same could be said about Medicine Hat, as they were already assured their berth. Oh well, as long as the Giants win the Memorial Cup, all will be forgotten. | |

GO Giants GO | |
|
| Hockey anyone? Posted: 5/19/2007 9:38:49 AM | | I am cheering on Ottawa tonight. And also want Detroit eliminated. Even though Detroit and Ottawa would be a pretty even match. IMOO....Ottawa will easily overtake Anaheim if that was the final match. | |
|
| Hockey anyone? Posted: 5/19/2007 12:21:46 PM | | Yikes Buf is 1 and zip for Ottawa......who else is watchin the game? | |

|
| Hockey anyone? Posted: 5/19/2007 2:22:37 PM | What the hell was THAT?!?! Alfie vs THREE Sabres plus Miller...and he STILL scores?!?! Got to admit, that shot was a surprise. No wonder Miller was fooled. Have to feel a bit sorry for Miller, too, as he played extremely well and I was starting to think he was going to steal the series. Thank goodness the Sens finished it off today, or those collars would have started to feel mighty tight!
GO SENS!!! Bring the Cup back to Canada!!!
|
| Hockey anyone? Posted: 5/20/2007 9:48:24 AM | Way to go Ottawa!!!....Looks like 5 games is the max anyone survives playing them.
Bring home the Cup.......

| Hockey anyone? Posted: 5/20/2007 3:20:15 PM | | wow...really bad turnover and salami puts it upstairs where momma keeps the peanut butter...game 5 goes to the ducks | |
|

|
| Hockey anyone? Posted: 5/21/2007 12:02:47 AM | Senz are going down....
so sorry to all the jump on the wagon Canuckian fans....pah!
|
| Hockey anyone? Posted: 5/21/2007 5:33:20 PM | You can count on 2 fingers the # of times a team like the Sens have blown a 3 to 1 in the playoffs. I am always crying for Buffalo (and the Bills too ) .... i guess as a Leafs fan I can feel your pain... | |
|
| Hockey anyone? Posted: 5/21/2007 7:24:15 PM | no leaf pain here...we had a good ten twelve year run ourselves first with Fletcher, Burns and Gilmour's gang, and then with Quinn, Dryden and Sundin...
they (we) probably got screwed royally down in LA against the great one in game 6 of the semis in 93...they (we) had owned Montreal in the regualr season that year...oh well...i guess they were trying to buld the sport up out west...lol
i went to a few Sens playoffs games back in 98 when they had a good run only to be unable to get past Ronnie Wilson's trapping Capitols with Esa and Olie the goalie...but either team would have been lunchmeat against those Red wings that year...
i thought the year, i think it was 02/03, the Sens were the class of the league when their paycheques kept bouncing on them all winter...they stayed near the top all season and kept playing well in spite of things. i wouldn't have minded seeing them win it all that year, but Brodeur stole the series from them, and they went on to beat the Ducks...i think that was Neil's rookie year and he whupped domi a couple of times
my brother in laws and several chums from Ottawa will forever drive me nuts with it...that's the pain of it...lol...but they still have one more mountain to climb
| |
|
| Hockey anyone? Posted: 5/21/2007 7:32:05 PM | "...and salami puts it upstairs where momma keeps the peanut butter..."
Actually, I prefer the more genteel "...upstairs where Norman hides his mother."
But the best one I ever heard was a Brett Hull goal described with the phrase "...upstairs where Mom used to hide Dad's toupee"!!
|
| Hockey anyone? Posted: 5/21/2007 7:40:58 PM | Hey Sly, I have been suffering since we last saw Sittler...... the Sens are the best coached team in the league good things can happen ! | |
|
| Hockey anyone? Posted: 5/21/2007 8:36:32 PM | Sens going down? Vs who? Anaheim has won the last game even if they were totally dominated by Detroit. If they beat Detroit, they'll face Ottawa in their prime. New Jersey saw that... Buffalo got a piece of it too!
The Cup is heading to Ottawa this year :)
|
| Hockey anyone? Posted: 5/21/2007 9:06:13 PM | """suffering since we last saw Sittler""" yep for sure...we used to go to a lt of those old playoff games at the old Maple Leaf Gardens against the Flyers and Clarke and the Bullies in the early, mid 70's...we were there the night the Provincial Attorney General charged a bunch of Flyers with assault...i can't remmebr who, but Saleski had Salming in a full nelson while Dornhoffer and bridgeman whaled away...and Schultz, Mad Dog Kelly and Moose Dupont were beating the krap out of everyone else...wild times i'm tellin ya
couple years before that with Red Kelley coaching we used pyramid power under the benches to get past the nasty La Kings...
they were good days indeed, but Mtl and Philly were just too tuff back then, and quietly the Islanders started putting the pieces together for their run... but yep, Sitt was the best captain, and him and Lanny and Errol Thompson I think were their best line i watched of the Leafs
