1. Pittsburg
2. Ottawa
3. NY Rangers
4. Buffalo
5. New Jersey
6. Toronto
7. Carolina
8. Tampa Bay

Pucks, you can't have my rangers in 3rd... the 3rd spot is for the southeast division... Be it Carolina or Tampa Bay... Whichever........

I will do my picks once I think about it.........

^^^You sure?
I thought the Rangers could fall in the third spot. It may be 2nd, but i do think the Rangers will finish in the top 3 or 4 in the East. There a solid team, just dont think they will win the Cup.

hockey never ends, the reg season is only a way to get into the playoffs. there is no off season for lots of us. during the offseason we look at rumors and rookies. so who cares scrool back and see. lots of us.

i just cant see the Rangers being as dominate as the media and everyone makes em seem...come on...we alllllll saw the roster this team produced in the past...getting the best, well paid guys...and still losing games to like florida and boston. the players on the team are amazing...but they just wont be able to gel with eachother. sometimes you just need weaker players on the main roster to kinda just give way and assist the bigger guys...not try and have a bunch of all stars grab spot light.

one thing that is gonna keep the rangers alive is re signing brenden shanahan....without him..i dont think the team would actually be a team.

Yeah Pucks, I am sure....... It bugs me that a team in the weaker southwest division get's the 3rd spot.........I have no idea why it's done that way.......

And yeah, I'm also very nervous about the rangers adding "stars" once again.... But Drury and Gomez are at least in their prime unlike some of the other BUSTS they signed in the past....... I worry about the chemistry for sure..... But as Chiefs said, Shanny will be the glue that holds the team together...... I can say all I want the rangers will finish first or whatever...... I sure hate it when everyone is saying their the team to beat in the east.... In fact, the first year back after the lockout, lots of forecasters picked them to finish dead last in the NHL...... That was awesome....... LOL....

Anyone catch the Oilers/Flames game on Sat night? Couldn't watch it because I was busy. From the stats, it looked like it might have been entertaining.

Was moving so I only saw the highlights, but the right team won. Gotta love how the `Flames are looking in the pre-season, 0-4, Beauty!

What the hell is Chris Simon doing playing a pre season game when he's suspended??? AGAINST THE RANGERS & RYAN HOLLWEG no less..... Just because he's not getting paid??? He's still got 5 games left on the suspension..... Idiocy of the NHL.... Of course the game turned into a free for all...

yeah we all know how pre season shows what teams do in the season.

last year hawks were 7-1, so a great pre season doesnt mean anything,
you guys better call the firing of brent sutter in new jersey they are in 8th.

but hey oilers fans enjoy it. this is your playoffs.

pre season really means squat.
So many teams are just checking out their farm players and calling up rookies. Trying to fill the odd spot or two that are open. the regulars get some playing of course but often are pulled so the coaching staff can have a gander at other players in action.
Toronto had Pogge in net the other day against Pheonix. With Raycroft, Toskola and Clemmenson signed as if Pogge is going to be playing this year. A slight chance i suppose if the above 3 goalies get hurt.

yeah players can play in pre season games during some suspensions. its all in the books, why dont people read before they get frustrated or mad or ask? has to do with the player being ready for the season, and the team. also pre season games are not real games. other wise they would count against the suspension. id rather have them play the pre season then have the pre season games count against the suspenion.

makes sense doesnt it

^^^I never knew that rule. That's a crazy rule. These guys shouldn't be allowed on preseason. Just my opinion mind you. Simon started a friggin' brawl last night that could have cost each or either team some top notch players to further suspensions or some dumb injury like a broken finger or hand smacking a helmet.
Kind of a dumb rule I think.

playfiar 06/07 flames 96 points finsihed 8th in west 43-29-10
