They were all well supported despite sometimes having poor teams..and after all who doesn't miss Brass Bonanza?.....da da da da-da-da-da-dah, da-da da-da-da-da-daaah!!!

You would know better if Hartford deserves a second shot. I had a friend that was passing through going to a small town in CT. and He said he did not understand how they ever had a hockey team
|
| Hockey anyone? Posted: 11/2/2005 5:08:11 PM | congrats to you too lady bugg, but trust me when it comes back to the battle of alberta.... Flames have it spades... | |
|
| Hockey anyone? Posted: 11/2/2005 5:51:32 PM | | Ouch!!-Hartford's only a small town if you pass NY on the way in!! There is a lot of money in CT and a lot of serious hockey fans, too. The problem there wasn't the fans or support but the management. Smaller cities can sometimes create more loyal fans than the bigger ones. (look at Columbus) | |

| Hockey anyone? Posted: 11/2/2005 6:49:24 PM | what a beating the Sens laid out on the helpless Sabres tonight! Yikes!!! 10-4...who's afraid of the big, bad Sens?? I am...hehe...I bet Biron will have nightmares about Alfredsson, Havlat, Spezza and Heatley | |

| Hockey anyone? Posted: 11/2/2005 10:04:11 PM | | tick the last period was just like a shoot out... goal after goal.. i couldnt believe it. | |
|
| Hockey anyone? Posted: 11/3/2005 1:01:50 AM | yup cat, it seemed like you couldn't turn your eyes away for 2 secs without missing another goal...men playing with boys...Sens are looking pretty scary this year
@shappy: yup, it will be interesting when they play Hasek against the Lightning tomorrow night...now that should be a great game to watch. and i completely agree about Ottawa's goaltending situation is much better without Lalime
|
| Hockey anyone? Posted: 11/3/2005 1:02:52 PM | ok...so Detroit huh?...here's what i think...their red wings are going to flutter in panick trying to take flight...only to be grounded by the Oil that will cover them.....
nine games is where the streak ends...tonight...at the Joe
|
| Hockey anyone? Posted: 11/3/2005 2:46:11 PM | | I love hockey...My favorite team is the Penguins...We have gotten off to a real slow start....I would like to see the Fleury in goal...I also think we need help on defense....The team has changed significantly in two years time.....I see a big winning streak once the team chemistry is formed...I also see the playoffs!!! | |

| Hockey anyone? Posted: 11/3/2005 3:38:19 PM | LADY BUGG My fingers are crossed for your team. I'm not large on Detroit at all. Still think you folks need a goalie.. lol After last night I would Buffalo is going to be shipping out Biron lol as soon as MILLER is healthy again.
The SENS played really well. It was awesome watching their passing capabilities. It is great stuff that OTTAWA is able to rest HASEK so much. He is older, and well lets be honest he needs the breaks when he can get them.
DOOGIE MD I'm a Crosby/Fleury follower here.. lol Big time. I hope they pick up the slack.. But that game last week when they came back from 4 down was pretty amazing. They should be able to do that every night.. I just wish Fleury was more solid right now
|
| Hockey anyone? Posted: 11/3/2005 3:52:22 PM | | thanx Char...we're sticking with Jussi...MacTavish thinks its a mental game for the goalies and isn't concerned with physical stress... | |

GO OILERS | |
|
| Hockey anyone? Posted: 11/4/2005 12:55:32 AM | Buggs, what did i tell you about "The Oil" going on the road a week or two back, and getting away from Rexall Place .I believe they're 4 or 5-0 since they left home and Jussi,is playing great agian.I bet he sits next game in St.Louis to rest him,St,Louis is not good, sorry Blues fans, just writing the truth.Just hope Prongs doesn't get thrown off by the booing ,he'll take. But as long as guys like Smyth,Hemsky and Horcoff keep producing,i think they'll take em.Time will tell.good luck
OMT:My Rangers won again tonight against New Jersey (4-2) and Jagr is a man possesed this year.Another goal and two assists.YAY Rangers,Keep it up.Take care NY.
|
| Hockey anyone? Posted: 11/4/2005 1:02:01 AM | Great game tonight! Hehehe!!! Gotta love it!!! The Oil putting an end to Detroit's winning streak...outstanding! dance ladybugg dance... i was sweating that game cuz those dang wings wouldn't just lay down and die...
next up, the blues...but they're one hurting team this year
And the Sens...WOW!...they look unstoppable this year...i wasn't surprised when the inevitable comparisons to the 80's Oilers would start pouring in..TSN made the comparison but i think that's going a little far
@NY: Yup, those Rangers are quite the different team this year....not only are they winning regularly but doing it against teams that always had their number in the past...how many times have they beat NJ this year? 2?
|
| Hockey anyone? Posted: 11/4/2005 1:41:59 AM | | Tick (Rockett), sorry i just had to get that in,hope that doesn't offend you Tick Tock.Rick Toccett will always be one of my all time faves like Glenn Anderson and Pat Verbeek,Dino Ciccarelli, and so on.But yes 2 wins against the Dev's now, i know they didn't have Marty in net,but hey a win's a win.Get em' early and often in the "quote" New NHL and you stand a chance of making the playoffs in the end.Speaking of assistant coach Rick tocchett and Phoenix,Also Kudos go out to Cujo tonight,I got to watch the game ,and the Kings were flat and Phoenix pounced on everything,Giving Curtis The 4-0 shutout.Probably the best i've seen him, and the Yotes plat all year,I hope Gretz can get them all on the same page,It will be a dauting task. But we all know how"The Great One" played,He's got fire in his belly, coaching the team.so maybe it'll rub off on them.Oh well.Gotta go.Talk to you soon.NY. | |
|
| Hockey anyone? Posted: 11/4/2005 4:07:43 AM | | No worries, NY...i used to love Toccett and Anderson and Ciccarelli as well...quite the compliment if you ask me. i was just listening to sports and they said that the Rangers haven't won 2 games in a row against Jersey since the 1996 season...wow! Yup, Cujo was in fine form tonight...everything went well for Gretz and company except for that knee injury to Sanderson...couldn't be that serious since it was caused by a puck | |
|
| Hockey anyone? Posted: 11/4/2005 4:53:17 AM | WOOOO HOOOOOOO! The Oil beat the Wings!!!!!!!!!!] Yeah it is hard to smother the last place team in the division! ahhaha
GO OILERS I believe they're 4 or 5-0 since they left home and Jussi,is playing great agian. ^^ is it just me...?...or is there getting to be an abundance of fans with good taste in here..?...hey cat...!...ya might wanna bring in some re-enforcements girl...feeling outnumbered yet...?...lol...welcome boys...!...and keep that feeling of elation close....its going to be surfacing often...! The Oil putting an end to Detroit's winning streak yup...!...the Oil-slick was just too much for their wings...!...! @NY i read something about MacTavish playing Jussi tommorow too...he mentioned that Grant Fuhr played 75 games in the 87-88 season and that too much emphasis is made on physical stress for the goal tenders when in reality its more of a mental game for him...i wouldn't be surprised to see the Finn in net tonight...i agree with Mac...why change a good thing... dance ladybugg dance doin my "happy hoola" baby...
