Although I'm not an Oilers fan, I predict a win for the Oilers tonight. The Blues are pretty much nothing more than an American League Team right now. Tkachuk, Weight, Backman, all injured. The loss of Pronger and McInnis at the Blue line is hurting them quite a bit. Lalime sucks mucho @sso right now too... no wonder Ottawa got rid of mr. choker lol... On the other hand, my team, The Ottawa Senators are doing great!!! 4-2 win against the bolts last night (that's Ottawa 2, Tampa Bay 0 for mr. Lightning fan lol), 10-4 against Buffalo and 8-0 against the Leafs last Saturday, a game where the Ottawa players ran circles around the Leafs all night.. Anyone see Jeff "I back off like a chicken sh!t" O'neil when the 3rd period handed... Slashed Chara twice and when Chara made a move towards him he almost peed his pants and backed away so fast...

Damn--I've been called out by LadyBugg and Jamesxxx

James---got me, and to make matters worse, it is 6 in a row and 15 of the last 17, so I humbly admit we are officially the Sens **** (until Cup time)

LadyBugg--as I told you earlier, I am currently part of the Find-A-Goalie search committee for the Tampa area---any one have a spare Vezina winner lying around ?

Well said imsensual... but don't count on the cup going back to Tampa this year.... As a Sens fan I hope it'll come to Ottawa.. but it won't make it back to Tampa Bay for sure... unless your committee finds a decent goalie for the Bolts!!!

^^^ no doubt that the Sens are the biggest contender for the Cup this year...actually that would be a great semifinal ....Sens vs. Lightning

@NY: as far as Detroit was concerned, I was watching a sports show where they mentioned in that impressive 9 game winning streak, 5 of those games were against really weak divisional opponents and that Edmonton was a much better team than the wings had been facing thus far.

Which sites does everyone use to get their hockey scores? Mine does not seem as reliable or as quick as I thought it was..

Another thing about this game was that the Oilers won it without the services of five regulars due to injury. Peca, Reasoner, Ulanov, Bergeron, and Cross all had to sit out. In fact, defencemen Dan Smith and Dan Syvret both played their very first NHL game tonight, and fared fairly well. I thought Semenov did a great job stepping up in the #4 d-man role that was thrust upon him.

Kudos to the boys on yet another solid win. Time to rest and recuperate for Dallas on Monday night.

LADY BUGG see I figured you would like my way of thinking.. I like more of the peca look.. lol

Okay perhaps we should go back to hockey before we drive the men on here crazy..

I'll have to wait to see the highlights in the AM. AGENTSMAX I did not realize that they had that many players out.. Wow.. that is a good chunk of team missing..

no kidding Max...9-1 final...the blackhawks took a beating...!....Dallas should be a good game...i have faith in our boys...how's this?....a "no-loss" road trip...!...could ring true the way things are going...

yeah Char...peca...its all good....!...to be truthfull....anyone on the Oilers roster would work for me...my hero's....*big sigh*

edit: Canucks tie it up in the second...1-1...a Van win would make it a double whammy for the tickster...good luck babycakes....!

Yep, very true, Char. The one saving grace was that they were playing a Blues team which has been decimated by injury as well (ie: Weight, Tkachuk, et. al.). This doesn't even bring into account the losses they've suffered due to salary chops (such as losing Pronger and Demitra to name a couple in the off-season).

Rod Phillips drew comparisons between the current Blues and the Blackhawks of a few years back. This new St. Louis team is having major troubles drawing fans, and it's no wonder - the on-ice product is as bad as its ever been. They are already in serious trouble of having their (many many many years) consecutive playoff streak snapped, even at this stage of the season. While the announced attendance was about 13,000 or so, only about 6000 or 7000 actually showed up to watch the game, so it was apparent that the 13,000 was paid attendance.

For the Blues' sake, I hope the team is sold soon. It's painful to watch a once-proud franchise flounder like this.

Oh please do not forget to Mention Al McInnis when you speak of the Blues losses.. They are hurting everywhere I believe.

Yes I often wonder what happened to Chicago.. Out of the six original they have been suffering so much for so long.
