| Hockey anyone? Posted: 11/8/2005 12:54:52 AM | Worry Not, fair LadyBugg, thou art NOT alone!
There are far more Oil fans here, myself among them. And Cat, what'll have to happen is either you come up here or we'll come down there and then we'll all sit and have one great big team-sized pitcher and get loaded as the Battle of Alberta rages on. It's been a wierd and wonderful season for almost everyone, and buddy up above mentioned how the new rules are opening up the scoring again. Right Arm! As to the the Oil, a word of caution to their tale, with the up-and-down nature of our boys' defence, they had better get better in front of both nets and with much greater consistency or Calgary won't be the only team that sucks!
My respects to both of you, ladies. Goodnight!

| Hockey anyone? Posted: 11/8/2005 6:18:50 AM | | OK--it has come to this--"Oh Lord, tonight when we play the Canadiens, please let more than one line show up, please let Grahame channel Patrick Roy, and please let the lads remember what got us to the promised land to start with!" Sad, I know, but it must be done. If this fails, it will be time to break out the voodoo. | |

| Hockey anyone? | Hockey anyone? Posted: 11/8/2005 10:19:11 AM | IMSENSUAL.. No Voodoo permitted!!!! I'm sorry.. But Theodore is just too cute for you to even think about doing VOODOO too.
Montreal is producing right now. But they seem to be liking the dramatic victory a little too much. Here is hoping they quit that crap and just decide to hold a lead. I'm very surprised by my team so far..
And here is hoping that tonight it not the night that St. Louis realizes that he has all that ice to skate on..
LADY BUGG What are we going to do with that team of yours.. seriously.. You need a new goalie.. and apparently some guy to put the puck in the freaking net.. and maybe another defenseman.. How would you feel about axing the coach??? Something is not clicking there..
Mr. Crosby had another goal last night.. Woohooo.
|
| Hockey anyone? Posted: 11/8/2005 11:34:23 AM | Char--the sad part is we have outshot our opponents the last 3 games, all losses. Our first 2 lines are ok, but 3 and 4 have done nada. Grahame makes spectacular saves, then lets a weak-assed goal in. Our guys seem to have the same problem--shots are nice, in the goal is better. The wrong Vinny is playing lights out--Prospal, not Lecavalier. However, when we get in the playoffs (and we will) watch-out.
As for voodoo--this is an area that has Santeria, and I am hiring a priest to a) hex the visitor's box, and b) bless the sticks of the Bolts
Would you send Marty an e-mail and tell him the corners are not the place for him to play?

| Hockey anyone? Posted: 11/8/2005 11:58:31 AM | Let me think...Ummm no.. mr. St. Louis is not really playing up to scratch and He can play much much much better.. I'm not going to awaken him to this.
I know someone in Dade county who tells me about the Santeria frequently to be honest.
I was trying to figure something out earlier, so I was looking at the Montreal roster..I started going through individual stats.. and it actually lists their marital status. I do not know if anyone else on here wanted to know the name of Jose Theodore's girlfriend, or is Sheldon Souray is single. But I just find it somewhat funny that they put that on their website. lol kids names are included for those who have children. I checked a few other team sites.. only one other of the ones I checked did it.. And with the other team at leat it was in paragraphy forum, not listed like a stat.. Anyone else find this strange?

| Hockey anyone? Posted: 11/8/2005 12:04:26 PM | | Char: well, the Habs have always been a bit "different". I am planning on their cooperation on helping the Bolts start their turnaround. | |
|
| Hockey anyone? Posted: 11/8/2005 3:35:53 PM | Oh my God...?!!!..are we playing again tonight...?!...ok...no problem....the predators...yeah...i'm worried...ha...!
ok...Char...NO WAY...!...trust the Mac...he is all wise and all knowing...wait an see...
plus...:"giving up" is not a phrase i understand...it is uncomprehensionable to a die hard Oil girl...not too mention against my religion....cat...?!...maybe you can enlighten us on this subject...?...care to explain...?!....

and yes mr "don't get too close to our Cup" sensual....praying is something you should definately consider...and if ya need a voodoo doll...call me...i'll sell ya one for real cheap baby...but the pins are what really make the difference....!

| Hockey anyone? Posted: 11/8/2005 4:44:59 PM | No NO NOOOOOO VOODOO Dolls of Mr. Theodore.. I said before you cannot just change the jersey.. You could never make a voodoo doll as cute as Theodore.. No Voodoo dolls.
I cannot see Mr.MacTavish (or is that MC ) sticking around if the Oil continues on its present path. lol. Something has to give out there. I like your team in the western conference really I do.. But someone has to stick some pins in them or something to wake them up.
Personally, I think that the Oilers are my little brother's team as well he complains th emost when they lose, but he never does committ to a team.. whatever one looks the best.. so My theory is Edmonton is his little secret.. lol Sounds like a typical male doesn't he.. Doesn't commit, goes for what looks best and has secrets..

| Hockey anyone? Posted: 11/8/2005 5:07:36 PM | well lady bugg cant help if the Flames are on top of u in the standing... did u see that but dont worry there is still some season left for u to try to over come that | |

|
| Hockey anyone? Posted: 11/9/2005 6:52:43 AM | char and ladybugg:
I have sent my pin order out, and I'm having little jerseys of all the other teams made, so when we play them, they will be stuck. I'm also having a sacrifice done at the entrance of the Forum to ward off the evil spirits that seem to redirect our shots into goalies jerseys (Theodore only had 5 such stops, including one that crossed the line, but since it was in his jersey....not that I'm bitter) and this bad mojo will be lifted.
As for disappearing...I am not a bandwagon type...I was with this team when we were the worst of the worst. We are still outshooting our opponents, and we will get our goalie situation taken care of (our rookie only gave up 3). Torts will turn this around, and we will retain the Cup....as I said, Lord Stanley likes his tan.

| Hockey anyone? Posted: 11/9/2005 7:03:00 AM | NO VOODOO On my goalie.. I mean it.. I swear.. if you do that... I'll see a way to taint Brad Richards lobster when he goes to PEI at Christmas..
*gets out address book* Now who do I know in PEI... lol I hate that cursed little island.. sand.. and mud.. yuck..Anyway I really like Richards he seems like a pretty cool cat, great with the kids at hockey school etc.. so please no voodoo on my goalie... lol
|
| Hockey anyone? Posted: 11/9/2005 8:14:54 AM | | Well the bolts outshot their oponents one more time... and yet lost one more time. Theodore had one of his best games of the season.. Eklund did ok but what was Tortorella thinking when he sent him out against a team who has one is last 4, as won 11 out of 15.. sits first in it's conference, second overall... Damn, talk about a lack of confidence towards Grahame... | |
|
| Hockey anyone? Posted: 11/9/2005 8:41:03 AM | Grahame is not giving us cause for confidence--too many soft goals. Torts is really trying to shake things up, get this lethargic start over with...even had a healthy scratch on Andreychuk. Defense, for the second staright game, gave up a pass in the middle taken straight to the net. But, we will hit our stride--and we start Thursday with the Rangers.
Char--think needles and pins darlin, needles and pins

| Hockey anyone? Posted: 11/9/2005 1:47:43 PM | IMSENSUAL Did you see my above post about tainted lobster meat? I do hope you perform better against the RANGERS.. I'm not a Jagr fan at all. He seems so unmotivated. Oh my I cannot play in the playoffs because I have a charley horse.. a Charley horse.. come on off it.. And then you have Koivu who came back from Stomach cancer, worked his ass off and played in the playoffs.. lol Sorry venting..
JAMES good point about a confidence kick. geesh. Theodore seems to be back on his A game.. here is hoping that it continues.. I would like to see Danis get a few more games though. You know for the sake of expereince et all.
|
| Hockey anyone? Posted: 11/9/2005 4:33:53 PM | Can't read all but huge hockey fan here.. LA kings.. So happy they're back... | |
|
| Hockey anyone? Posted: 11/10/2005 5:55:32 AM | babysport---welcome to the hockey jungle---you know the Kings will be picked on
char---Florida has it's own lobster, so we'll just skip any packages from PEI (haha)
As for Cryinmore Jagr---we need to spank the Rangers tonight...we did the cleansing ceremony last night at midnight, and I sit here with a pin stuck thru the Ranger effigy. If this does not work.....my head may explode
|
| Hockey anyone? Posted: 11/10/2005 6:36:45 AM | | then prepare to explode lol... Lundqvist is doing much better in net than any of the three goalies Tortorella used. Jagr is on a role.. so is Nylander and Straka... but we'll see... I must admit that I hate the blue shirts and would rather see them lose but unfortunatly I don't think the Bolts will win it tonite.. | |
|
| Hockey anyone? Posted: 11/10/2005 7:06:37 AM | | James--you gotta have faith...and failing that, voodoo. Jagr has been playing well, but I have this feeling we are going to bust out of funk...besides, my head exploding will be really messy | |
