Bertuzzi's coming alive and we beat the unstoppable Red Wings - second time already. Just start engraving the names on the Cup now.

So Vancouver caught Detroit again on an off night... not exactly a sign that its time to start engraving ANYTHING!!! Wings woulda been beat by Pittsburg the way they played... We'll see what happens come playoff time... Detroit will win the Western Conference and have home ice advantage, I predict...

As for Bertuzzi...I dont think hes all that great, even if Ontario is where hes from, he doesnt get my support. Nor should he be allowed to play again, not until Steve Moore comes back... his suspension shouldnt have started til Moores return. But then again ..I just dont like Vancouver, or their players that have historically had nasty dispositions... Todds not the first jerkoff to wear a Canuck jersey...

I certainly don't condone what Bertuzzi did to Steve Moore and even question if he should be allowed to play before Moore is cleared but I think he's one of the most talented power forwards to ever play the game when he's on his game. Sorry Saiyan_1, but if he were on your team, I bet you'd be a fan.

go canucks and go bert!!

The past is the past -- Moore has moved on with trying to score money from Bertuzzi and Bertuzzi is back playing again. All is fair in the game of hockey and if the league didn't think it was ok, I don't think Moore would of approved his reinstatement into Vancouver.
The league did ask Moore first before they decided and he ok it, then tried to sue him
Bertuzzi isn't the same player he once was, and probably never will be again. Same can be said for Moore

I'm bummed my Rangers lost to the Leafs tonight.Jagr is great but McCabe was better.Cheers to you Leafs fans,at least Lindros didn't beat us.that would have made the wound of losing only worse.None the less great game.NYkid.

Uh-uh... oh no I wouldnt! Im a Red Wings fan and I was P.O.'ed when we aquired Cujo (whose not a cup winner) and Hatcher (another historically dirty player), and look at who were the two closest players to the puck when Detroit lost that game 7 to Calgary. To me hockey is like any other business, where you want the most talented team but also people you can stomach working with. Ive never liked Bertuzzi...Ive watched him play a long time now, and he really p isses me off. He is an awesome power forward and has great hockey sense and ice presence-of-mind...I have no qualms about his skills, and thats why he shouldnt be resorting to nasty stuff... he doesnt need to. Hes a skilled player. But hes always had a nasty streak, and sure maybe the league and Moore have forgiven him (and yeah maybe Moores a b*tch for suing him now... an after affect and repercussion that has no relevance to what perpetuated the whole thing in the first place), and yeah its the NHL where the big boys play and ya-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da but its time we crunched down on the violent cheap backstabbin shit that keeps popping up... and influencing our next generation of hockey players. When I played Junior C (a.k.a. the goon league) I had the most pim on my team, and never did I bushwack anyone. And I was the goalie! You can be mean rough and nasty and still not be a back stabbing cheap shotter.

I HATE HATE HATE this damn Nintendo designed shootout bs. The same 1 point is earned that you earned when you played your a** off for an entire game and OT and had a tie, so then you do this shootout silliness for what? TV ratings? What a load of elephanr droppings that is. You play a 2nd straight night, in an opponent's house, and you earn a tie, and then leave a loser due to a shootout...ARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHH (Not that I'm bitter)

IMSENSUAL you sound a wee bit bitter. Just a little.. lol. You had a win the other night against PHILLY didn't you? My opinion is that the OT should go for a 10 minute 4 on four.. it is super fast hockey.. I love watching it. But I will always hate the shoot out.. it isn't hockey.. Hockey is a team sport.... And it is making goalies look bad in a sense.. Your goalie is not Your whole team. I'm starting to rant. But people are liking it so far.. and ratings are up. so we must do what is good for the sport. But I myself would like to see the Overtime go for ten minutes.

Hi SAYIAN..

LADY BUGG are you kicking?

Montreal pulled off a win last night a lucky one.. Glad that they gave Theodore the night off.. the goalie we played las tnight shows promise.. and we have another young one that looks good in the system..

Any opinions on the Carolina/Ottawa matchup?

hey char2.. wassap?
last nights hockey was good.. I had picked Ottawa to beat Carolina at home...
Buffalos playin well and has a crapload of talent between the pipes...
and I dunno char..I agree with you that shootouts ...arent the way to necessarily end a team contest, but they are sure exciting to watch... maybe we should have both...longer OT and then if its not resolved, we go to a shootout. Shootouts can be very.. dramatic, as you can see watchin the worlds #1 sport (which isnt hockey, but should be!). Or maybe we could have a WWE style tag team match to resolve it when all else fails!! lol sounds like another Vince McMahon idea!
and char..you love jose and ur habs eh? gonna be fun fencing with you thru the hockey year!

Char2---did I sound bitter??? GOOD!!!

Saiyan: The WWE is next....probably have a shift once a period with surgicaaly enhanced "skaters"...I mean what the hell, they already sold part of their soul with the shootout nonsense.

Char2--agreed with an extended 4 on 4 OT---make it a team win, loss, or draw, but lets keep the team in hockey (ok, I gotta work on that---homctkeay--no that won't work...but the shootout definitely puts the hock in hockey)

The other thing that they could do, is take a peek at minor hockey tournaments when they have a tied game.. They start with a 4-4.. Go to a 3-3 and then down to 2-2.. That is exciting.. and FAST..

SAIYAN Like the new pic.. lol and life is still very hectic.

Love Jose.. Have for many many years..

guess life is hectic especially when it revolves around hockey like yours char2! you are my hockey queen! lol
I watched a midget game last yr where the final game of the tourney was deadlocked for 3 overtimes... finally it went down to a one-on-one, best player vs. best player, with a goalie on each end. My homies son was our teams choice and scored almost immediately after blowin by the other kid and scoring on a break away. My point: the arena went WILD! it was really exciting to watch, and I think itd be cool to see what char is suggesting ...4-4..3-3

The games I've seen the overtime done with the descending numbers, they never went one on one.. too hard to change it up then.. one defenseman and one forward and the goalie.

Red Wings Rock.. haha. now how is that for stirring the pot.
