lol IMSENSUAL I knew that we had the DEVILS tonight.. lol I just got side tracked with my rant on FLEURY.. My blood is boiling over it. SAIYAIN is right.. even if they kept him up there to play back up. But keep him in the NHL for bloody sakes. it isn't right.. The kid can play, they could have a few defensemen help him out a little that would be a bonus.. They shellshocked him last time then Sent him back home to Cape Breton.. well his second home. But you know what I mean. I'd rather see him traded then playing in the AHL. so long as it is not TO.. Couldn't take that.. I'd love to have him But he would not get ice time with us. Jose is still young and a franchise player. and this Danis kid is doing pretty good so far.. And our first rounder this year was a goalie..

It would be in your best interest to not Jinx my Goalie.. and quickly seeing as he is hurting with a slight groin injury.. It would be one less a$s kicking for you.

SAIYAN As you know I like the rules because I like speed and finesse. These are the reasons I always preferred Jr. Hockey because it was so much faster.. Not as much clutch and grab. I liked how QUINN said it last night.. the boys had to adjust to not playing clutch and grab.. and it was an adjustment.. so once everyone adjusts, perhaps the game will flow more with fewer penalties. I still think the game will start to become hard hitting again. Oh thanks for the compliment.. lol

I think Lunongo is playing half decent. You need to score in order to win.. that has to be remembered. I think we'll see LUNONGO playing for Canada at the Olympics this year.

I do believe that Edmonton could take your team in the playoffs. Definitely.

Oh and I'll talk about hotties alright.. lol That is just another aspect of hockey that I enjoy.. lol there is one for CAT, LADY and myself to Decide.. who is the best looking player in their 20s, and their 30s.. haha.

Char: It is unreal when a team keeps a talented guy down...the Habs problem is too many goalies. TB has a kid who last year had a 1.17 goals against, brought him up for one game, he gives up the tie goal w/2 mins left (after a poor, poor clearing pass allowed a 2 on 1 rush)and sent him right down. I think Grahame has proven he is a great relief goalie, an average #1. Send us Fleury, I'll lift the curse, the groin will heal. Besides, I'd hate to have a lovely hockey lass kick my ass.

Lol @ char2..ok ok judge your hotties.. as long as you can keep talkin hockey smack!! as for YOU and LADY bugg... dissin my Red Wings... we'll see whats up at years end. Detroit ran outta gas last nite and blew it. And Ive seen them down 0-2 in a series and come out 4-2 winners in the end.
I like the new rules too..I hated the clutch n grab b/s... that wasnt hockey... like Char2 said, it mirrors Junior A more... faster with more offence...
I just hate that obstruction call that gets used too much.
And Fleury... well we will have to just watch n see... like luongo..he needs a team thats gonna score as well. Very true... and yeah I see Luongo between team canadas pipes...

Id like to know who everyone would pick as this years unsung hero. Who will surprise everyone and step up as a hot player this season...old or young. Personally...Ive been waiting for Datsyuk... the clutch n grab hockey was slowin him down, and I bet he'll make the top ten... maybe top five by years end. Kids got vision, and creative moves no one else will try or even think of... like the move that was named after him.

gotta say my pick is crosby singlehandedly winning games for pittsburg and not getting much help from the vets on that team either and he can stand up for himself to

Amen Char...they are not the wings of yesteryear...i don't think they'll fare well against any young, aggressive, fast, forechecking team that has an iota of talent.

Detroit ran outta gas last nite and blew it. And Ive seen them down 0-2 in a series and come out 4-2 winners in the end.

Ah yes saiyan...i still have painful memories of Cloutier letting that transatlantic goal in! And the rest, as they say, is history...*sniff sniff*

edit: did anyone watch the Nucks/Kings game...Nucks slept through half of the game and when they woke up, down 5-1, boy did they make a game of it...Bertuzzi/Naslund were almost unstoppable...mind you, the Kings also played an outstanding game

'twas a good game in LA last nite...I think the kings were just playin that lazy protect-the-lead- hockey as much as anything, and let van back in.
And certainly Crosbys the man to watch.... but hes expected to do stuff...
Prospal...hmmm... thats more like what Im talkin.. someone comin outta nowhere and doin more than was anticipated or expected from them. Heatleys one to watch as welll.. hell, that whole team... leafs fans are gonna hate Ottawa this year, and not cuz of Ottawas idiot sportscasters! lol
As for my geriatric wings... maybe... maybe not... look at all the young talent theyve acquired... theres gonna be ruff spots as we see where and how everyone will fit in... years end, we'll see whose right, and whose wrong...wont we?? and we'll see how many times the Oilers can continue to have OT luck against us!
Wonder how this weekend will match up..Ill be missing the Saturday nite games, so you guys (and gals) evaluations will be greatly needed come monday... I gots me a POF date!!!
(if I was a downomer boy, Id be beggin char2 out... just so I could diss Jose and get that ass whoopin! lol)
have a good weekend all!

Hate Ottawa broadcasters. The Toronto broadcasters are no better. The Hockey Night in "Toronto" Broadcasters have got to be the worst in the world.

Toronto fans will never like Ottawa. I still don't know why they don't like Alfie. Can anyone tell me why? Why do they boo him every time he touches the puck? Is it just because he makes things happen?

The game between Philly and Atlanta tonight was amazing. Philly was up 5-3 with about a minute to go and Atlanta is on a 2 man advantage power play and they get 2 goals to tie it. They go to overtime and Atlanta's- Greg DeVries gets the Overtime Goal. That was an Amazing turn of events.

Did anyone watch the Philly/Atlanta game? Another wild finish! Does Ilya Kovalchuk have the most amazing slapshot or what? Super quick realease; a fast and hard shot with pinpoint accuracy...yikes!

Corry,
You are scarry, you picked all but one of the same winners as I did for my hockey pool. The only difference is I picked the Bruins over the Sabres.

Sens just took the lead 2-1
