and Montreal can never have too many homegrowns.. lol. IT Brings the fans in..
I know the Jr. team here was thrilled when they were able to bring in a home grown fighter..

I did not even see a typo.. Just thought it was your accent... hahaha.
My poor brother will not even pick a team. I think he was too brainwashed at a young age. lol I believe he has gone for almost every team in the NHL except perhaps Chicago. Maybe that is why he took up reffing.. haha.

dont you think honestly that the NHL is putting too much pressure on this Kid? I feel sorry for Crosby, yes he did wonders in QMJHL and saved Rimouski, yes he did well at the Junior Champsionship, yes he won the scoring title in Quebec, but he was playing among teens, the world champsionships we has good but he didnt lead in scoring.
Mario Lemieux in his final year in the Q scored 139 goals in 66 games, what did Crosby score? if im not mistaken wasnt it 66? dont get me wrong this kid is talented, but i think he will be like a Peter Forsberg and no doubt this kid will light it up.
I just think its unfair to place a burden like that on his shoulders, and the kid is a good kid with a great attitude too.

| Hockey anyone? Posted: 10/8/2005 2:58:57 PM | There has been pressure on that kid since day one.. Years before the Q.. Like I said I saw him at the rink at 7am skating with a chute on. His father has groomed him for years. I truely think he can handle it. I agree it is not fair to do it to him. But I say he can handle it for now. And I think Lemieux is keeping a close eye on him.
I've forgotten, how many years did Lemieux play in the Q? Keep in mind that Crosby missed a chunk of time last Year because of the World Jrs.. He had one assist last night.

| Hockey anyone? Posted: 10/8/2005 3:03:36 PM | There are 2 things that might happen, he might end up being the next great one, or the next should of been. It's not so much the NHL as it will be Pittsburghs fault for putting too much pressure on him. Fans will start to boo, if he doesn't score and they will keep him up with the big club just to attract fans when they are on the road. 2 games in, 2 pts -- he will get better, but it will be cause of himself, not the pressure | |
|
| Hockey anyone? Posted: 10/8/2005 3:34:54 PM | Lemeiux played two years in the Q, and his record for most goals in a season still stands today, i doubt that record will be broken.
I hope Crosby does it, but you know he will need to score between 40 and 76 goals to be considered a the next one, Lemeiux scored 40 in his rookie year, Mike bossy scored 51, and Teemu Selane scored what 76 in his so called rookie year.

What's with that, the season is not even a week old, and the women are already complaining.... Those men need to find a woman who enjoys hockey......... Maybe it is just me, I enjoy watching hockey. It doesn't even have to be my team (Sens) playing.

lol..ok...might as well send the cup up at the same time...!...its going to end up here anyways!
And so the eighties are back ! Calgary and Edmonton in the battle of Alberta. Those were some great years of hockey. Edmonton has iced an incredible team along with Calgary this year. Won't leave out the pesky Canucks in Vancouver as they too will provide for some great entertainment . All in all, the cup winner will come from this division in my opinion. Be nice if Calgary could pull it off, and if they don't I'd put my hopes on Vancouver lol.
|
| Hockey anyone? Posted: 10/9/2005 2:46:24 AM | Really entertaining game in Edmonton tonight! I don't think I've seen a crappy Oilers/Canucks game in years....always fast, furious offence. | |

| Hockey anyone? Posted: 10/9/2005 6:42:32 AM | I went to bed at the end of the 2nd of the Edmonton game. However my little brother stayed up and watched it.. Oh my it must have been one heck of a game he was very vocal. Had to be Well past 1:30am before it was over here..
Yes yes of course TORONTO lost.. MUHAHAHA.. LOL I'am rotten.
TIMMAN.. I'm like five foot nothing.. lol So everyone is always taller than me.. lol However to answer your actual question.. QUALITY.. lol and besides.. In the case of Karyia... lol those hands.. Oh I'm a terrible terrible person. On a serious note, I like a smaller, speedy hockey player who can move the puck. Like Brandon Reid.. the other Karyia brothers. Koivu..
Women are complaining about losing their men to hockey already.. Tsk. And I really do not buy it. Because last year I think they complained about their men being around all the time. lol In my case.. Go to the game, but if you're going you best be taking me along.
