I think all hockey fans are with you on that. Everyone is wishing Fischer a prayer right now. No one seems to really know right now what happened. Some stations are saying he was hit with a puck or stick in the throat and others are speculating that he just got on the bench and had a seizure for no reason.

That was a frightening scene in Detroit and I hope that he recovers quickly. Apparently, he had a previous heart condition and his heart actually stopped beating while he was on the bench...I think they actually administered CPR and used the defibrillators on him. Anyway, hockey talk and team bashing is secondary today. Best wishes going out to Fischer from the West Coast.

heard a late report on fischer from tsn...In a release late Monday, the Red Wings said Fischer was visited by teammates and coaches and that he was ''jovial and in good spirits.''
, good to hear hes doing well.

whoa....
y'all know last night shook me. Hell the fact that fischers a Red Wing.. is irrelevant. and I know we all are praying for him. Reminds us that the boys who we watch play our beloved game... are mortal too.

I have saved a Red Wings candle now for a few years... last night was the first time the wick ever saw flame...

ok...so...the hockey health scare is over....although they are doing an indepth report on CBC tonight regarding that very thing...so unlike the media to jump on personal issues and judge the entire league...go figure...

anyways...yeah...MY team won last night...and not only that...the Canucks showed those lousy blackhawks what happens when you fluke off a win against the Oil...!...pay backs a bi*tch...

sooooo...with much respect to the wing fans...and the tradgic loss of life in any circumstance....i will say a very quiet...."woootiewoo"....

^^^ Interesting thing about that Canucks game...I was at the game and was chatting with some guy next to me....at some point I noticed the Penguins/Capitals score and remarked on the Crosby/Ovechkin matchup...this guy told me that he is very good buddies with one of the Penguins players and that Crosby was whinning and swearing (dropping F-bombs) after Hatcher smoked him a few times...I guess during the intermission, Odelein gave Crosby sh*t and told him that he's in the NHL now and to act with some class. After that, he settled down and played an outstanding game. Also, I guess Crosby's father started calling the coach on his cell phone and left messages regarding the incident and stating that Crosby should play almost the entire third period because he was on a roll. Now I don't know if any of that was true since it was related by someone at a hockey game, but if so it brings back memories of Lindros' dad

The Bolts win again, and further close the gap with the pretenders in Carolina. They have remembered the forecheck, and Torts has told them to forget they are the Cup holders, and get out and play Lightning hockey. The cream is starting to rise.

Everyone forgets vincents 6'4" 225 lb (gosh...MY size!) so I wasnt surprised when he held his own against Jarome... neither are known as serious scrappers, but Igilna has surprised me, for sure, and vinny too... skilled players that can scrap. and hit. Like ovenchicken. my biggest surprise was when I realized lil darcy tucker is ballsy and can throw down too. Im lovin it. bring on the WWE shift!!

TICKTOCK I'd say that is just bull. That kid conducts himself with more Class and has put up with more hooking and obstruction then most. He knows where he is at and what he is doing. He was po'ed with a dirty hit last week or the week before.. They all b!tch about those.. But as for Troy Crosby ringing up the coach, really why would his father have the coachs cell come on. I dare say that the man knows how to keep his mouth shut. He may have pushed his son wicked hard.. But I have this idea he knows better..

Montreal pulled off a win last night thankfully.. Sabers on Friday..

Scary crap with Fischer..

Yup char...I kinda was thinking the same thing but then I had shades of Lindros flash through my mind...gotta wonder sometimes....but the more I think about it, the more it seems like it was just drunken hockey talk. As for the part about him whining and swearing, I wouldn't consider it a big deal even if he did do it. That's part of growing up and becoming a man and a full-fledged hockey player. You learn from your mistakes and what better time to make them when you're young and inexperienced. I see nothing but great things from him in the future. Too bad he wasn't a Hab or an Oiler, though.

char2/tick tock... bring up the ole "hockey dad" issue. As char2 knows, dads like Erics and Sydneys are a dime a dozen in the minors, and its a problem our game faces. I live in a serious hockey town, and theres nuff stories of parents, like women (mothers and daughter tag teams too!) pummelling officials and chasing opposite team members and assaulting them, and there was also the hockey dad who killed a coach a few years ago. theres a line, and some people push too hard, and push their kids too hard. Luckily guys like lindross and Crosby ( Troy Aikman was the same) can handle pushy parents who decide what their kids futures will be. I guess Im just sayin those of us with kids... can push them hard, but collectively we gotta stop the crazy shit thats goin on in the local rings, between the psycho parents, and political coaches. I know youre feelin me here char2...
you see it how many times a week?
and btw your beloved Theodore.. is playin good. Glove hands lookin hot.
and thank god fischer made it. 95% dont.

I heard Mike Fisher, John Muckler, Wade Redden were going to the Funeral and that Mike Fisher would be back for the game. I didn't here that Neil would be back. That would be a little early I would think for him to come back. He would be playing with a really heavy heart.

Well...my guess is that Lady_bugg is busy celebrating while the cat is hissing under some stairwell. What a thing of beauty it was...the Oil snuffing out two divisional rivals in under a week...HUGE! ...and what could be better than beating the flamers?!
