Posted: 3/11/2008 4:44:27 PM | I'd have to say Aussie/Kiwi accents get me the most, I love em, then anyone from the UK would be a close 2nd.
I've come to learn that there's a huge difference in accents from the southern states (and I'm from Canada so that's a bit of an accomplishment lol). I've never been partial to the southern accents (I think it really depends on which state though...) because in most cases the people I met who happened to have those accents, were very dumb people (met them while working on a cruise ship... bunch of boozed up southerners lol for the most part). Some people play it up to really make themselves sound dumb, others actually use moderately proper grammer and come off sounding semi-intelligent and kinda cool too. I will admit that the "southern belle" accent and use of words will make me crumble every time.
This is gonna piss a few people off but keep in mind it's the accent not the person I'm talking about here, but I find the norther states accents to be like nails on chalkboard to me. In particular the Wisconsin, New York City, Boston, Jersey, Maine, Rhode Island really drive me nuts if they're pretty heavy accents, if it's just a splash of the accent thrown in then it's ok. Sorry if I offended anyone on that one, just don't take it as me saying that I'd turn my back on someone because of their accent. | |

Canadian Westcoast men purposely made me repeat, pretending they did not understand, to hear me speak... Oh oui oui... Yesterday, I had someone who left me a voicemail from a francophone (Froggy) and his voice was hummmm... so hot. I don't think it was his "accent" but the tone of his voice...
Newfoundlander and Nova Scotian's accents too... hummmm

Posted: 9/18/2008 7:25:33 AM | Im an Aussie, and most people tell me how strong my accent is. which sucks because i personally hate our accents (no offence to other aussies!) but if you listen to an aussie speak and then an american it just sounds terrible. really rough and wrong haha. i guess because most americans sound so proper, but not british proper. oh i am rambling now. sorry.
but as for personal preference the German accent is my fave. its uber sexy.

That said a russian/ukrainian accent on a girl hmmmmmmmmmmmm sexy
