But we just don't swoop down like vultures on every woman on this site, as the bad boy types do, So, it's possible that a lot of us good men are guilty by association with the other guys and women don't know who to give a chance to.

Good men who are unattached and straight, still do exist out here. But we just don't swoop down like vultures on every woman on this site, as the bad boy types do, So, it's possible that a lot of us good men are guilty by association with the other guys and women don't know who to give a chance to.
Thank you for not swooping....some of us appreciate that in the men we choose to date. Sadly you are right...there seems to be way to much gender generalizations here. I am sure it can be just as confusing for the good guys as it is for the good gals. | |

Posted: 12/3/2006 7:42:04 AM | | I don't know about this one. I do not think my expectations are too high. I have been with some pretty down and outs in the past who didn't treat me very well. Since coming to pof in March i have met over 30 guys most wanting just sex whether they said that or not in their profiles.I have made a joke of saying perhaps i had a sign on my forehead About once a month i get sucked in by someone who seems sincere, says all the right things about long term, we usually meet some progress a bit but then the sex thing is upfront and within a few weeks i find out secrets or lies and they are gone. I am hurt and move on. last night the guy didn't even bother showing up. He cancelled 1st meeting until yesterday then called to move the time back then called to say he was on his way and he claims he showed but no one matched my pics. Well i have met 30 guys and not one of them couldn't match me to my pics.I don't know if there are any good ones left that aren't married or gay(have some great gay friends).Supa when you read this you have me blocked i can't respond to u so don't bother writing.Lilfish | |

I think there are a lot of jerks out there.. both sexes. People are selfish. I also believe it is a cycle.. a sweet person meets an idiot and that sweet person becomes an idiot and so and so forth. I believe that many people are jerks to each other because they are scared. They convince themselves that no one is good enough for them because they are afraid and won't open their hearts up. Some people will also play a game for a peice of ass and we unfortunately live in a very superficial society. Some women think that men have to drive nice cars, flash their money around etc. and some men think that women need to be a size 2 with a large chest. It's the way the world works.
There ARE good people out there. I know some great guys. I know some great girls (me being one of them). We have to go through the crummy ones to appreciate the good ones. Okay.. so now that I'm ready for a good guy, I am currently just weeding the immature men out. Now I just have to find the great guys in this area  . I think they are hiding in their great guy homes like i'm hiding in my great girl home. | |

Posted: 12/4/2006 8:11:08 AM | Hate to break it to all you ladies, but I just picked up my mail this morning, and on the cover of Time magazine there is an article that clearly states as of 12/02/06, all the Good Men are in fact taken, or Gay (not that there is anything wrong with that.) as you have all suspected all along. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but well, it is what it is I guess. So try to make the best of the Holidays.
