I actually prefere a guiy that gets deployed! hehe im faithful as hell but its nice when ur not constantly with each other. it makes u so much happier to see them when you do! Now i am dating a guy and hes not military but he works 2 full time jobs...i kinda like it that way even tho i miss him, when i see him its grand!!!!!!!!!1 | |

Posted: 10/10/2005 9:06:14 AM | My honey is retired military...he was injured in combat...and I have so much pride for him and his time in the service. So YES...I would, as hard as it would be...but sacrifice only pays! :)
Now if you were asking if I would want my children in the service, my selfish answer would have to be NO! | |

I can understand why you feel sick! - but I would say that men have more of a stomach for killing. There are not many women who would want to fight in combat and to die for your countrymen is a noble thing to do. These guys deserve more respect as they make a lot of sacrifices. Men throughout the ages have been slaughtered on the battlefield and I for one would love to see it stop. I would definitely date a military guy as I spent almost two years in the Terratorial Army as a combat medical technician and I loved it. Had to leave when I got pregnant otherwise I would be a Major right now. I think in today's world they would be better served globally using their skill, strength and expertise to rescue the growing number of people suffering from the growing number of climatic catastrophes. Saving the helpless is a far nobler act. We need a crack local/regional/national/international team who are physically fit and the military would be just perfect. | |

The lady needs to be tough and stronge. As for dating, it isn't as serious a problem but, it could be hard as well. | |

just think of all the hours they spend alone in hell holes, I think thats worth army rules don't you - although I am not sure what these rules are, they could probably be improved on and looked at again to take advantage of the emerging technology today - for instance installing permanent video conferencing to service members with families. One of the greatest factors in morale is being able to see and talk to loved ones and they especially would benefit from this as it is much harder for the mother on her own with children. | |
