| What, in your opinion, is the purpose of the universe? Posted: 1/2/2005 11:50:38 AM | | I have given this subject a lot of thought since I was ten and started wanting to get naked with girls. After all these years of looking at the question from all angles, I have come to believe that the universe exists as a place for me to have sex with women. Those of you not directly involved play supporting roles. I base my belief on three facts. One, I am the pinnacle of evolution; all life before me evolved to this. Two, sex with a woman is the only time everything all makes sense at once, leaving no questions unanswered. Three, it is where life comes from, to be aware of the universe and thereby bring it into existence. You may of course have your own purpose for the universe but that is mine. | |

Exactly what so many men, and women, I would imagine, were striving to formulate as an answer. Encore lml4s! You rock...

if every one was having sex all the time no body would be around to work on farmes to feed us and you know, it just doesent work out that way.
the only sense sex makes is that you are in love, pissed or enjoying your self looking for some fun.

Posted: 1/3/2005 10:59:47 AM | | I view the supreme being as the ultimate in creative energy. The universe serves the creator the same way a song, poem, painting or any other creative work serves an artist. Its an endless, expanding cosmos, ever changing, ever exanding to reveal new creations. It's a work that is never finished, yet it constantly reveals more to all who look for it.

There is an intelligence at work that we can appreciate, and are part of. We are co-creators with God. Nothing in the universe is stagnant, everything down to the smallest atom is at work or moving. Nothing can be added or taken away, though much is rearranged.
The old saying that there is nothing new under the sun is true also, in that, as far as I know, it's all there already. We may see it for the first time, but it already was in essence. Personally, I find it all quite exhilirating.

| What, in your opinion, is the purpose of the universe? Posted: 1/6/2005 7:37:13 PM | | So many people are willing to admit the transformation of matter but can we think along the same line and state that the mind cannot be destroyed? Of course, such statement is not as materially evident that matter "survival". What about those who claim that there are a continuation of consciousness after death, as Jonathan Edwards and people who claim to experience such contact? It that is so, then the Universe seems to be dual, materially infinite and a continuation of conscousness that only humans have the priviledge of the highest one on Earth. And the purpose of the Universe is a human, real, survival and a traveling experience of building a quality consciousness. Admitedly, an enigmatic mysterious universe. But at the end a positive universe, though. | |

As for the question of the purpose of the universe.... So many people are willing to admit the transformation of matter but can we think along the same line and state that the mind cannot be destroyed? Of course, such statement is not as materially evident that matter "survival". | What, in your opinion, is the purpose of the universe? Posted: 1/11/2005 11:46:44 PM | The Tao is ungraspable. How can her mind be at one with it? Because she doesnt cling to ideas.
The Tao is dark and unfathomable. How can it make her radiant? Because she lets it.
Since before time and space were, The Tao is. It is beyond "is" and "is not". How do I know this is true? I look inside myself and see.

| What, in your opinion, is the purpose of the universe? Posted: 1/18/2005 6:54:35 AM | the Universe? Hmmm.. A whole bunch of planets, asteroid belts, super novas, black holes, comets, quasars etc..all out their, moving, and expanding, bumping into one another, sucking the life out of each other, growing, evolving, giving life, taking away life..
I think the purpose of the Universe is to stay out there, for us little people to contemplate, and just when we think we got it...Bammmm, Our planet explodes, implodes, or what ever. So..in the history of time, we will be but forgotten.
Someone get me a beer. | |

| What, in your opinion, is the purpose of the universe? Posted: 6/30/2005 10:15:45 PM | We are entertainment for our creator/s. Nothing else really makes sense to me, except maybe that we may be our creators favorite food and perhaps that explains Revelations to me finally.
Naw, I think I'll stick to entertainment for $1,000.

the purpose of all things are to end, think about it, you were all once little but being little ended, it's the same for the universe. it grow old and waste away
I really don't think that our spiritual aspect of ourselves will ever end. God is all knowing and ever present. He is the creator and the end may never come or it could end tomorrow. When you were a child and you made something with your legos, you had the choice to keep it intact or take it apart. Our creator has that choice. Smoochie Pooches
