Posted: 10/11/2005 9:09:41 AM | | hmm now where to start, perhaps i shouldn't start when it comes to coffee, i like to think i'm a bit of a guru, but not an addict, 3 to 4 cups a week lol... i worked at starbucks, so i'm a bit brainwashed into thinking they are superior, i'm not a fan of timmies coffee... NO SUGAR IN MY COFFEE, black or with milk... if i'm drinking at starbucks its totally a grande extra hot with whipped caramel machiatto or a tall, no water, all soy, extra hot, with whipped tazo chai latte........ calm tea by tazo is very good too... you can get it at a few places.... | |

Posted: 10/11/2005 9:22:08 PM | I'm not really into the frou frou drinks. They are yummy don't get me wrong, but for the same price (both financially and caloric) I'd rather have a real dessert, not something I'll drink in a matter of minutes.
When it comes down to plain coffee Tim's beats all the other franchises, but nothing beats those privately owned coffee joints with the big comfy couches and serve their drinks in real mugs and not a cardboard cup!
I try to drink green tea and have a coffee as an occasional treat. It dehydrates you, which is counter-productive. For every one cup coffee a person's supposed to drink 2 cups water. but who wants to do that?? | |

I advocate drinking water. I'm like that little girl (or boy? can't remember) on that Mel Gibson movie Signs. I always have a big glass of water with me when I putter around the house, and often I start a new glass without finishing the last one. But heck, when the aliens come, at least you'll thank me for leaving glasses of water around the house! | |

Posted: 10/12/2005 7:15:44 PM | In my house,its not glasses of water. Its bottles of water.. I buy bottles, and then refill them for the kids. We go through 35 bottles per week for four people and that doesn't include refills.. LOL
We drink so much water.. LOL.. I had to buy the bottles to get them to drink it but it works so much better than glasses. Bottles are portable and don't spill if the cap gets put on.
Hey, as for coffee, anybody ever try one of the Starbuck Barista coffeemakers. My kids bought me one of the personal ones. IT SUCKS!!!! the coffee ends up with this sludge at the bottom cause the filter is so coarse and of course you can't get a smaller one. If the cup isn't sitting in it perfectly, it pees coffee all over the counter.. I am so mad at them for making such a crappy product and selling it for $90 ...
