Am I the only one who likes instant coffee?
I prefer instant coffee! A lot of the flavoured instant types also include lots of sugar, but it tastes so good. I dislike starbucks coffee, and Tims...the instant stuff is just right. I even prefer McDonald's to Tims and Starbucks....though that old McDonald's stuff was recycled turpentine.
The best thing about Starbucks is that they have everything there for every mood (except the liqueur *laugh*). Coffee, Tea, Hot Chocolates, Slushie things.... Second Cup is pretty good too. Timothy's wasn't too bad either, but my favourite one in Kensington is gone... :(
Starbucks with liqueurs....now that's an idea.

I once had a bf who preferred instant as well. To tell you the truth I'm really not that picky.
I said before that the best coffee is one that you have at your local diner will nursing a hangover...but I think the best coffee is one that you have on a date, and that is my final answer!
I even managed to knock over my coffee on a guy on a first date! LOL Actually it wasn't really a date. I was stood up by a guy off POF and another guy came in to buy his morning coffee and noticed I was sitting all alone. It took him 3 more coffees to get the nerve to come talk to me...good thing that other guy didn't show...his loss!
JUst goes to show how coffee brings people together! AWWW

*laugh* So he gets up the nerve to join you and you douse him with coffee... Love those memorable moments! Especially on first dates.....
Coffee does bring people together....I figure if you can spend time talking with someone, sober, and by choice, you must like 'em. No beer goggles there!
Hmmm....a chain of licensed coffee shops....upon re-evaluation, sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen!

| What's your poison... Posted: 10/12/2005 10:04:05 PM | I managed a coffee house for 14 months. (Esquires Coffee Houses in west Lethbridge)
I found a ton of people used it as a "first date" spot. We had a sofa, fire place, relaxing jazz music, friendly staff.... and a wide variety of coffee, lattes, frappes, etc.

^^ nothing better than seeing two people hit it off on a first date, and then watching them come back... together.... for months after. (I miss the coffee house now... :( such is life)
As for "My poison"..... A plain latte. No extra flavors here. Just steamed milk, and espresso. mmmmmmmmmm

| What's your poison... Posted: 10/12/2005 10:11:16 PM | Yes, poor guy, I knocked my drink on him. Not because I didn't like him, but because of my clutziness. I am usually pretty clutzy, especially on a frist date. Unless of course I mention to him straight away that I am a clutz and will probably trip over myself or break something during our date. For some reason if I tell him I'm a clutz straight off the bat then I somehow channel my clutziness over to him and HE becomes a clutz, which is kinda cute. So if I go on a date and open with that line, I'm not breaking the ice...I'm simply being selfish. lol
Anyone want a date? (See them all flee)

"GE&H.. He threw the timmies thing in but didn't share his poison" green,
Oh yeah.
I do have a bit of a fondness for Tim Horton's large double-doubles, but it doesn't border on a mania - I feel that I'm missing out on something there. I only have old instant coffee at home so again I lose out on the mania thing.
If I was to sit down and really enjoy a coffee, it would be the Blue Mountain that my brother brought back from Jamaica or the coffee that I brought back from Cuba. Those both fill the house with the smell, smell like they're going to be the strongest coffee that you've ever tasted, but are beautifully smooth. For some reason the Cuban coffee that you get here isn't nearly the same.
I'm trying to now drink coffee 'black with sugar' for no other reason than I like the saying "Coffee should be black as night, hot as hell, and sweeter than an angels' kiss."

OT: XL one cream, as I'm already sweet enough.
