Finally some one truly gets it! And yet, all around us they babble on as if it were never even said!

If you take a DNA double Helix, un-twist it flatten it out, What does it look like?
Because it is what it looks like!

It looks like a freak'n Ladder diagram for a plc computer program!!! (Rockwell RS Logix 500 in particular.)

And that’s what it is!

It's a biological program for an organism’s replication and operation.

And programs have to be WRITTEN!!!!! By some one!

They can be written to adjust to outside stimulus or input, and in doing so they evolve.

When this Programmer chose the form of the double helix, the programmer was leaving a clue.

I will tell you this; God is.

Now y'all just run on out and figger out which Deity has a 2000 IQ, limitless amounts of energy
The ability to change energy to matter and yada yada yada.

Now remember Several Religions Worship the same Deity. They just like to kill each other over the small details.

Who is it?
Through the process of elimination you can figure out the most likely answer.
The truth is out there.
Ops!!! That might throw you off. No it wasn't the little gray dudes; they're looking for the answer to the same question. (In all the wrong places)

Intelligent life? Ha…… That’s a laugh!

Some interesting ideas about the double helix of DNA have come from Jeremy Narby, who studied the spiritual visions of amazonian shamans and documents it in 'the cosmic serpent'. The serpent is a very prevalent vision and offers healing, power, magic, truth, wisdom etc. It also symbolises the unviserse and the coming of life on earth in many cultures as diverse as mexico, peru, melanesia and australia. Interestingly Narby proposes that the serpent is the shamans ways of visualising DNA.

This is especially fascinating if you consider the role that the serpent has in the Old Testament as well as Budhist mythology. The young Budha apparenly crushed serpents underfoot and later left his family to attain enlightenment. In the bible the serpent brings temptation, is linked to sex and procreation, leads us to suffering and toil, as well as enlightenment and the potential of becoming gods. If you read those ancient relgious texts and also read people visionary experiences and replace snake with dna or genetics you see things quite differently

I'm curious, if man evolved from an ape how come we still have apes?

Unwittingly you embody the answer.

Very intelliegent people had as less intelligent people as a common ancestor. Though we have some very clever people on our planet, we still have some real idiots, don't we?

And, humans didn't evolve from chimps, orangutangs or anything like that. We are related to them just as wolves are related to lapdogs...we have common ancestors. Do you think that appearing more sophisticated than a fellow species should mean we automatically want to blast them from existance????? we are not all so millitary minded and so competitive you know.

The evolution they teach in the states shows an evolution of man from the primates. In every known species of successful evolution the original species dies off.

So I'll ask the question again.

man is a primate.

There are other primates too!

Many speices of primates HAVE died off, just as have many other species

Predictions from the worlds' leading scientists suggest that roughly 50% of the current speices on this planet will be killed within 40 years. The main reasonss for this are global warming and deforestation.

It will hardly mean that we are neccessarily more 'evolved' than those creatures that are killed, it just means that we failed to face up to our responisiblities.

Perhaps if you are really interested in this you could (Watchman) enocurage you lord and master to ratify internation aggreements for the protection of the global environent, rather than asking silly little questions on here.

They said that 40 years ago too....

Your ambiguous answer to my question is noted....

I love you being able to come on here Watchman, I get this warm glow from the fact that though it is 3am here and I have been up for 20 hours working my mind isn't that bad really. For, what seems like ambiguity to you is merely a couple of straight forward paragraphs to me.

Do you dispute global warming, deforestation and the fact that many species have become extinct in recent decades?

Do you really think that if a fool bludgeons to death a family down the road that he is somehow more evolved than those people?

I said it before and i will say it again:
Watchman::---> Nobody who knows the science behind thories of evolution thinks man evolved from apes. We believe that man and apes evolved from the same ancestor.
bottom line. man and apes evolved from the same ancestor. Get it?
The only people who say that are those who don't know what they are talking about.
Also, DNA was not the original genetic information, RNA was. Dna is an improvement of the original theme. RNA evolved into DNA.

Watchman:::--> "The evolution they teach in the states shows an evolution of man from the primates. In every known species of successful evolution the original species dies off.'
WHERE IN THE HELL DID YOU HEAR THIS?
this statement by watchman is complete bullsh*t.
Even darwin never thought that. When he studdied the finches, he noticed that they were almost the same except for itty bitty differences in beaks that had evolved to deal with different types of food.
How many species of eagle are there watchman?
or dog?
Or ape?
I know that i make myself look stupid by making such strong statements, but this is the worst one i have seeen you make. sorry dude, got anymore wonderfull facts to post to the world?

HEY GUYS BE NICE
KINDA STRONG RESPONSES TO WATCHMAN......DON'T YOU THINK ?

I watched this forum progress and I do not see why someone needs to be rude?

You guys may know alot about DNA.........but the jury is still out on what you know about tact and social grace.

It just proves either some people weren't paying attention is class, Or, they went to a religious school that taught a theory of evolution that was purposely twisted into a non-plausible form thus trying making creationism look more appealing.

I'm not sure that we were too harsh, considering the extreme level of exasperation felt after someone has started a thread arguing to close state schools and replace them with cheap Catholic shchools. I watched as lots of really thoughtful people come and make an effort to say something intelligent about evolutionary theory...and then we get...."duh...if man evolved from apes, how come there are still some apes? duh". I don't think that anyone would get so annoyed with that guy if they felt he was making an effort to read things and consider what he is saying. He clearly makes an effort with anything of a milllitary perspective. He actually seems like a intelligent, sensitive guy who'se mind has been stolen by the far-right

lol Guitarman....yes I don't think that the defensive, rigid mentality of the far-right can hope with the idea of someone expressing themselves musically. Maybe they are afraid of music, art, poetry etc as these things might cause them to open up a chink in their arduously constructed defence system....now, if you were seen to be holding a machine gun, or were called 'gun-toter' you might get a warmer response from the warmongerers.

yes I agree
or maybe if I was attempting to purify all the free thinkers
remember this is the right wing world where it is our job to lord over the world
..............they would call it evolution

Seeing that I hold a degree in Marine Science (as well as an Engineering degree) I probably have a better grasp on this topic than many posting in it. I'd also say there are several people that 'did not pay attention in class' in this thread.

However when the threads need to turn juvenile with attacks I leave them....

Wow, isn't it amazing that someone can condense all of that study of Marine science down for us all to understand and be able to problematise the complex mysterious ebbs and flows of life on earth with the phrase "if we evolve from apes, how come there are still apes". I find that ingenius...so simple, so erm yes simple.

I have noticed you leaving threads just as they beecome very childish too Watchman. In fact I've seen them becoming childish just as you arrive! Funny that - You must be cursed or something.

On a serious note, I wonder if you would be able to bless us with your superior knoweldge of biology by telling us how it is possible to have different types of fish, living in different sorts of habitats if there is not natural selection going on? Did god make all of the different sorts of fish a few thosands years ago and tell each of them - "I've made you to live in this particular depth, climate, and level of salinity, with all this food just for you, now don't go swimming off to areas I haven't made you to be adapted for".

ya, watchman hung himself all over this place with closeminded arguments and biased links to support his arguments. As far as degrees go, i see people get degrees all the time that doen't mean sh*t. as a matter of fact, many people can barely pass their classes and get a degree, by the way, what are your degrees, transfer degrees?

If he ever has had any training in science, he has done a remarkable job of supressing his education and simplifying his language - to the extend that he merely sounds like any of the reactionary, bloated, scared, badly informed people one might encounter in any spit and sawdust bar

well, he is smart. and a nice guy
but i find it hard to believe a scientist being so uneducated (esp a marine biologist of all people) about evolution.
