I don't have anything against divorced men. I just think if he did it with one woman he would do it with another. I tell the truth and I want to be able to trust people too because that is the way I am.

Hi Sassy Girl, It would be great to have a cup of tea, however she did it to be and I still believe in trust.

A lure: I appreciate a person who can take a criticism well. Bravo. I know you kinda lost your head back there, but glad you found it. Your comment here demonstrates a better you. However, I understand why you reacted the way you did though. I tried to be polite to her earlier and simply point out how her opinion can be hurtful to those she really doesn't know and could end up really liking if she didn't judge them so harshly. Unfortunately, she initiated the personal attacks with her assumptions about me following my comments and felt compelled to follow as she did when proven wrong about her assumption of me. Not even an apology of "ok, I was wrong about some things I implied about you." I'm sure overall, she's probably a nice person and this is just a blind spot for her. We all have them. Proud that you could come back on the way you did.

Absolute Zero is a cool guy. I read him a lot on other threads I've been on. He has my vote for a moderator any day.

Since everyone seems to have some pet peeves I thought I would add my own to the growing list.

1) People that think they are better than others
2) Drivers that go slower then the posted speed limit, even when conditions don't warrent it, and allow cars to pile up behind them. Arrg!
3) Grave yard shifts! Noone should be forced to go to work at 10:30pm! *sob* I don't want to go to work tonight :D

I have some new ones too as of yesterday.

Seized bolts!!!! There's nothing more seethingly nerve wracking than working on something that is SUPPOSED to come apart easily but then a tiny little rust monster gets in your way.
I was also trying to replace crank seals on a snowmobile i'm selling and ran into..yup,,you guessed it...A BIG OLE SEIZED BOLT! Grrrr!!!

Then I was out to replace the back rotors and pads on my car and yup...more rust monsters in the way, preventing what should have been a very simple job. So now it's plan B..bolt extractor set from Snap-on and a new torch! We're gonna try this all again on my next day off..

It all boils down to RESPECT. Hard to find in ns. grew up in toronto, montreal. ppl show more respect for ppl in their lives up there. I open doors, kiss hands, buy flowers, etc. when a lady(?) cancels a date, she sends me an EMAIL! wassup?

My pet peeve: hmmmm....it's threads that are based on 'woe is me' I can
not stand to watch weak ppl drawing attention to themselves. I don't
think ppl want to be helped...if they did, they'd strategize (sp) solutions
to their problems - but they won't. Instead it's a long painful parade of
depressing, negative ppl.
