Posted: 7/24/2006 8:33:42 AM | People who figure the only way to make themselves feel better/more interesting/more attractive is by belittling someone else's opinions or actions. Why can't these people just strive to make themselves more interesting and positive instead? Wouldn't it take less energy to just be a nice, fun, witty, happy person than it does to go round finding little things to pick at? That's my biggest pet peeve in a nutshell.
Oh, and people who spend so much time being negative that they immediately assume any negative comment made must be directed toward them.

I never leave them there for more than a few minutes so I do get really annoyed when I find them touched. | |

I think I am pretty safe walking on a sidewalk and do not feel I should always have to look behind me. But oh my gawd, I don't know how many times I am walking and suddenly this person on a bike whizzes by me, (so close that I swear I have their chain grease on my clothes) scaring the bejeesus out of me. I know some streets make it hard for bikers to ride on and they need to ride on some sidewalks, but come on, slow down when you see a pedestrian. I have already been hit by two people on bikes, (ok one was when I was getting off a bus) and that guy was driving on the road along the curb, and one time I was on the road crossing the street, ok I am not making a very good argument here.. hehe anyway there is my gripe! | |

I don't really mind anyone riding their bike on the sidewalk,it's the whizzing by real close thing.
I mean you can decide to sidestep to the left or right by just a bit and then the next thing you know your being mowed over.
If your going to ride on the sidewalk i figure you can at least slow down going by someone to give them a chance to realize your behind them. | |

in truro there are 50 million 4 way stops - seems that way...
I live on the corner of an intersection of 2 streets that amazingly is not a 4 way in truro BUT atleast 4 times a day, I see ppl almost get into accidents because one is stopping and they don't have a stop sign or 4 way sign - its a walk sign....
besides that there are a few others but no pet peeve really gets me that much!! | |
