I was a restless sleeper untill I had someone to sleep with at night. I couldn't wait untill I could go to sleep with her and wake up next to her. Every morning I would wake up and kiss her on her forehead and she would give me this smile even though she was still asleep. I miss that smile so much. Now I have trouble sleeping again. Nothing works. I cry every time I lay down in bed. (I am such a girl I know) I hate sleeping alone but I don't know if I want to get that close to anyone ever again. I moved 200 miles away, to my brothers apartment ( which she and I have spent many nights in) same bed, room filled with memories of her, sheets and pillows we bought together, and so many memories of nights in my head. I need to find a chick like me who wants to just fall asleep wit me....I'm not that lucky though....
Sleeping alone sucks.....
OMG Can I keep you??? You are so adorable! This may win for the sweetest post from a guy ever. Off to my fav's list so I can keep this little hottie! :)
Simmah...I'm still mad at you for this thread (((((kicking simmah as she leaves the thread))))

| Sleeping alone Posted: 10/19/2005 4:33:50 PM | Hmm....truth be told...I really don't mind sleeping alone. Now, that is. I was a couch sleeper for the longest time after my break up. But now I love my big huge KS bed ...and my TV...I always have to have my TV on to fall asleep.
Bad habit~ hard to break.

| Sleeping alone Posted: 10/19/2005 10:06:57 PM | | Ive slept alone now for the biggest part if 7 yrs My xwife used to hook her foot over my ankle at night while she slept and after all these yrs i still have to cross my legs to sleep. you would think after all these years I would get used to sleeping alone but im not and dont think i ever will | |
|
| Sleeping alone Posted: 10/19/2005 11:13:12 PM | I can relate. A 20-year marriage and a man after that that both had one thing in common ... I wasn't good enough for them to introduce to their friends. An I let this get away with me ... gee, maybe if I wore a paperbag over my head .. would I be acceptable to your friends then??
But I had to reply to BOB ... BOB has become my best friend .... BOB is faithful to me, as he awaits in the drawer beside my bed, beside the whole case of batteries from Costco!! ((gee, did I say that??)).
I am lonely too. I don't sleep at night. I get up in the middle of the night, and if I can't find something to do, I head off to my office. I hate being along, and I miss snuggling every night. Too bad neither one found me good enough to be with their friends.

| Sleeping alone Posted: 10/19/2005 11:27:18 PM | | God i miss leah, i used to stay at her house. I remember putting her in bed and then getting her when i got breakfast ready i loved seeing her face before anyone else its been itll be a yr in 12 days. Thats when she broke my heart. But there is nothing greater than the feeling of the warmth from your body together, so peaceful adn calming. u can smell there hair and watch as they lay motionless. Yes sleeping alone sucks pillows will never feel the void. How to deal with this is not an easy task. It just takes time i guess. | |

| Sleeping alone Posted: 10/19/2005 11:28:58 PM | Been sleeping alone for about 6 months, I HATE it. My bed is WAY too big now so I sleep on the couch, its alot more snuggly.
Nights are the worst, I don't go to sleep until about 3 in the mornin because I dread the bed! LOL, damn wish I had a dog...or a cat...or better yet, A MAN!!
|
| Sleeping alone Posted: 10/20/2005 10:31:23 AM | *sigh* unfortunately it is my time to go to sleep. It's the middle of the day...shoulda been in bed hours ago....I work midnights. Anyone want to spoon? The worst I'll do is smell your hair or pull you close or i might pummle you with kisses...hehe
The good soul falls asleep alone The cheater has the warm body To crawl into bed with after you are gone Isn't it ironic, don't you think? A little too ironic? Yeah, I really do think.....

| Sleeping alone Posted: 10/20/2005 11:33:38 AM | | Its not just the sleeping in bed alone (or on the sofa/fouton) it is the coming home to silence as well. These days, well for several months now, sleep is a thing I shy away from. To sleep is to dream and to dream . . . The worst of all, in my opinion is that silence though. Waking up and instinctively reaching for someone or trying to say something only to find that they aren't there or cant hear you. | |

| Sleeping alone Posted: 10/20/2005 8:05:09 PM | | I've been sleeping alone for a couple years now. And I hate it! I love having someone to cuddle with. That's what I miss the most! | |
|
| Sleeping alone Posted: 10/20/2005 8:15:31 PM | Wow...amazed at how many people dread bedtime or even coming home!! I guess it shows how many of you have had some QUALITY partners...and miss that! HUGS to you all!!
Funny...we could prolly find another thread that is a complete opposite of this...the things you HATE about sharing a bed! LOL
But the things that others (i.e. old married farts?! LOL) bltch about...are the things I LOVE and miss when my honey is not over. (We aren't living together) His SNORING...OMGosh...MUSIC to my ears...and to anyone that nags about it...you WILL miss it one day when it is not available for you to hear! :) I have a Cochlear Implant...so I can "turn off" my hearing completely...yet the only time I DO sleep with it on, is when my honey is over so I can hear his snore!
Can't remember if I mentioned it earlier...but I am the "kook" who makes a pillowcase out of her guys worn tee-shirt...so I can smell him when he is not here!! LOL

| Sleeping alone Posted: 10/20/2005 8:37:00 PM | Sleeping is a must, but just. Alone hurts. I leave the other side untouched as possible and hug the edge of the bed as if someone's hoggin' the bed. Comes from comin' from a big family. I miss that closeness. "sigh" gotta wait it out. she'll come around, perhaps. And for you all try a second extra thick duvee rolled up, and throw yer arm over it like someone's there. Helped me get some sleep when life was rough. Mark | |

| Sleeping alone Posted: 10/20/2005 9:23:58 PM | | I don't mind having a bed to myself, but it gets old quick. I prefered when i wasn't single, to be sleeping beside my partner, not just for the sexual reasons, but for the comfort. | |

| Sleeping alone Posted: 10/20/2005 10:12:25 PM | | I'm going to bed alone tonight for the first time in a long while,,, my relationship just dissolved, quite abruptly and this is my first time using online personals. Just hearing and knowing that someone is there is a very important thing for me, long story not worth sharing. Though not all my partners were necessarily good bed sharers but this last one was glorious (sex aside). ho hum | |
|
| Sleeping alone Posted: 10/20/2005 10:26:44 PM | | Thats it I'm changing my Profile, Winters on its way and damned if I ain't got a cuddle partner,,, I'm serious, sex shmex, we're adults dammit and we need to cuddle and hog blankets and do that somehow intertwining, both on your back thing where your head rests atop hers and hers just fits perfect into the crook of your neck and her left leg finds its way (I'm tearing up) up over my right and under my left. my right arm over her left, I gotta stop. I do snore though which sucks but dammit, I ain't goin alone this dark season. | |

| Sleeping alone Posted: 10/20/2005 10:27:25 PM | | Take heart in knowing that the next guy you invite to spend the night might be the last guy you invite to spend the night. I've personally bought a new bed (I'm pretty sure my old one had bad karma) and have no intention of sharing it till I KNOW I've got the right guy. Unfortunately I think it might take awhile, lol. | |
