I LOVE sleeping alone. It is the BEST part of being single...
the whole bed to myself.... all the blankets I want, nobody waking me up.

Its not the sleeping alone that I dont like.. Its the waking up alone that I dont like and the falling asleep alone. whats better than some good snugglin before you sleep and when you wake up?

I agree Rainbow fish,...

I love sleeping alone,....no one to mess up the sheets,...or sweat on me,....or steal the covers,....

wait a minute,.....I do have someone who does all that,...2 someone's actually
dogs,.... both of which actually like to sleep under the covers,....( no nothing sick or twisted,...just sleep) they are cave dwellers after all,...

have you ever noticed that if you sleep with someone in a queen size bed,...that your portion is smaller than a twin size bed?

Personally, I alternate between sleeping on the couch and on my bed. I have been sleeping alone for over 3 yrs now and while sometimes it is a pain, alot of times it is good. I work alot, so sleep is a blessing to me., lol.

Sleeping alone sucks - no doubt about it. I miss having a man in my bed, but I would rather wait and have one who wants to be there for a long time to come, rather than a one night thing.

When I was first alone, I spent about a year doing everything my husband didn't like me to do, effectively thumbing my nose at him for having "bailed out" on me (like he could help a heart attack). One of those things was to let the Weimaraners in the bed. He would have absolutely killed me. But that helped, having 200# worth of dogs in bed with me.

They were as effective as he was about stealing covers, snoring, and moving me to the edge of the bed over the course of a night. It helped, during the transition period.

Now I sort of enjoy having the bed almost to myself. I lost my old male weimie a year after my husband, and now I have the female and a hateful little shih tzu, and sometimes I kick them out of the bed.

My single bed leaves no space for anyone but me. Kinda like a coffin....

Sleeping alone is fine by me. If I should ever tired of it, then I will just invite my children to share a snooze altogether

Ok, I really hate to whine, but I just kinda have to today. I really don't feel very lonely most of the time, because I have my two wonderful boys and some awesome friends, but man. Sometimes I just dread going to bed at night, because I'm in there alone.....again. I have not had a steady boyfriend, one that I can have spend the night, in longer than I am going to admit on an open forum. Family Guy and MSNBC with all of it's kick butt sexy man anchors help as far as putting me to sleep, but how do you all deal with this at an ongoing level? Anyone care to share?

I always sleep alone (unfortunately). And it sucks big time!!!

Get a heating pad and cuddle up next to it. I discovered this quirkly little thing about my heating pad recently when I felt sick one night, it was like snuggling up to a warm body. I instantly fell asleep feeling all cozy and warm. :)

See guys, if you don't snap up we have a replacement that plugs into the wall, doesn't hot the bed, pass gas etc... Ha ha ha

You need a CUDDLE BUDDY !!

Sorry, don't mean to hijack your post. But I made a thread on Cuddle buddies vs. Friends with Benefits under the Relationship forums yesterday.

This is another ideal scenerio where the cuddle buddy would come into play. Heck, I should franchise this idea... nationwide chain of cuddle buddies... rentals by the hour... ooh.. wait.. that sounds alot like prostitution minus the sex...

Even after i broke up with my boyfriend of three years i did not feel lonely going to bed alone...I didnt mind it in fact i enjoyed it..who would have thought certainly not I and i enjoyed just sleeping alone and going to bed and the works yet my x had to sleep with a body pillow for months afterwords and hes the one who ended it so im kind of smug about that.

I love sleeping alone , I never could sleep quit as good when my ex-bf would sleep in the same bed. Felt too cramped. Now I can spread out & stretch it just feels soo lazy & nice

I feel for you, I love to cuddle and miss the touch of my lover. That being said, if you use a big thick down comforter it is very soothing, and I find helps.
Hang in there girl. Love to all BamBam

The night that my ex decided to move out, the dog hopped into bed with me. I traded my ex-husband's snoring for the dog's, but I'll take the dog over him any day. At least the dog loves me unconditionally, that's more than I can say for the ex.

I grit my teeth and bounce my face off the headboard until I can get to sleep.... j/k

No really, it sucks, it's hard, but it has to be done.
