when you agree to date someone lots older than yourself you are looking for someone with more knowlege and experience, you wish to be the student. when you agree to date someone lots younger than yourself you are agreeing to be the guide. sometimes we are disappointed and find the older person we are dating does not have much more to give than we already had. and we can also learn lots from the person we are dating that is much younger. dating is like eating, we choose food from the buffet according to what our needs are.

If she is up for it then go for it.

I find older women very unattractive and obnoxious in many ways.

If you want to date her, try it out. My personal "minimum age for dating" is 25 yrs old, but even then it's a stretch for find a common ground.

There's something comfortable about being with someone in your own age range--you can laugh about hairstyles you had, shared political experiences, songs that make you feel a certain way, etc.

But, whatever.

..I have had several under 30 year old women lately..that seem to be interested in my company...It sort of makes me wonder...should I?...or shouldn't I? pursue a relationship with them. Can I as an older gentleman treat those girls as an equal?..or am I just looking for someont I can impress with my experience? It's been sort of a conundrum with me...I do have a reason for wanting a younger woman...I've never been married (don't ask)...and wouldn't mind having a child. But is that a good enough reason..to be selfish..knowing that I can't bring as much to the table as she can? I really care for several of these girls...have known some of them for several years..and I think the reason they're attracted to me..is simply because of my kindness...I don't treat them the way the men their age do...I have given thought to what any friends would say if they saw us together. And I'm sure I'd say something funny like...Ah hell..I'm just thinking of adopting her...to answer their queries.
..I guess I'm going to look at it like this...If I think (with my experience) that they understand where our relationship stands...and if they accept...that someday...it might not be in their best interest to continue the relationship...and that I would be just as happy for them if they found someone closer to their age. We could just enjoy life for the moment..until the men that aren't attracting them now..grow into the men that will...

as long as the interest, commonalities and chemistry is there, i reckon it could be fun

^^^^^^^I think the age gap would eventually play a part in a relationship for a man in his early forties and a woman in her twenties...

It sounds like it can work in the short term.....and yes it would seem fun..

But, eventually a drop dead good looking bloke closer to her own age would take her interest...especially if wanting to start a family....IMO

In this day and age.....age gaps that extreme will only work for the short term...IMO

Men in their forties wanting to be with women in their twenties are wanting to recapture their youth as they go through male menopause or just want to bonk a younger body......JMO
