| Cologne and Perfume Preferences?!? Posted: 10/16/2005 10:10:46 AM | Vanilla is not like honey to man.... sorry despite the fact some women can pull it off, not all can and when they can't it smells like swamp sludge or sewer water.....but that is my take on it.
*insert gagging here* even a woman stinking of liquor and sweat smells better lol
And I've heard the same thing from a lot of people..... and sorry to say but just like sales people some men will say anything to close the deal.....sad but true.
I still stand by Amarige by Givenchy as being the most euphoric scent on the right women.
I'd be on her like a hobo on a ham sandwhich......* insert drool here*

| Cologne and Perfume Preferences?!? Posted: 10/16/2005 11:44:21 AM | | Some people DEFINITELY wear too much perfume or cologne. You aren't suppose to drown yourself in it. Two squirts and walk into the mist... | |
|
| Cologne and Perfume Preferences?!? Posted: 10/16/2005 11:46:37 AM | Tenar... whats up ??
I have worn Old Spice all my life. Dunno why, just that i like it. Old Spice has two new scents out. 'Pacific Surge' and 'After Hours'. I would have to describe both as... Liquid Panty Remover'. LOL
There's one more. Marks Work Wearhouse has a private label cologne for men called.... Woodland. It also qualifies equally as the above two.
Womens cologne... i dunno. I have smelled some pretty sexy ones but never did know what they were. Didn't feel like asking.

Tenar... i just want to say, YOU'RE a Hottie !
I was going to say that in the other thread, but you were'nt around to read it.
Anyway, back to the topic at hand. Old Spice yes, i have to admit... the older variations did make a person smell, well, kind'da old n' dusty.
The new ones, especially 'After Hours'... like i said, women are asking me all over farm country to please please please.... take off thier panties !! LOL

| Cologne and Perfume Preferences?!? Posted: 10/16/2005 12:42:26 PM | Depends on the day or my mood I have 3 colognes that i may wear and i haven't seen any except maybe one mentioned here. 1. Perry Ellis - The original from 20 years ago...it's really hard to get because it has been discontinued but if you look hard enough you can find it and i do. 2. Lacostte 2000- just discovered this a couple years ago...really nice and light 3. Quorum (Antonio Puig) - This was the first good cologne i ever started wearing (20 years ago) and i haven't been able to get away from it...it keeps showing up in my christmas stockings and for birthdays...it's not very common...it got overshadowed by polo and drakar when it first came out but i can still get it and i do still wear it.
On a woman Hmmmmmm. I dated a girl once waaaaaaayyyyy back in college that wore opium and it made me crazy but honestly i haven't liked it on any one else...it just didn't fit. My Ex used to wear Oscar so i'm not really fond of it anymore...nuff said Therea re a few that will snap my head around in a crowd if i catch them but i hav e no idea what they are. They just stir me the right way.
So long as the scent fits and it's not over bearing i'm ok with it. Reminds me of a nasty oneliner i heard years ago "nice perfume.....must you marinade in it?"

| Cologne and Perfume Preferences?!? Posted: 10/16/2005 6:28:48 PM | | I am pretty picky about scents...I tend to start sneezing if they are too strong, so I like to stick to relatively subtle ones...for myself I wear Georgia Peach from Fruits and Passions, Cool Water for women or Calgone Hawaiian Ginger. On men, I looooove Swiss Army...it totally makes me go weak at the knees...and Armani's Aqua de Gio. | |

the waiter at tony romas tonight was wearing an awesome one.. just not sure what it was.. but dammm ohhh dammm
|
| Cologne and Perfume Preferences?!? Posted: 12/27/2005 4:04:50 PM | ^^^^ Swiss Army is cool, but just tried Joop today and the stuff has my head spinning. Beckham and ER weren't kidding when they mentioned it in the men's scents thread (which I can't seem to find).
And my date last night wore Rare Gold by Avon. She smelled great.
|
| Cologne and Perfume Preferences?!? Posted: 12/27/2005 4:09:39 PM | | well if you have met mai che fai tu I now wear the same cologne as him! hes a great guy and takes care of his pof brothers hehe. | |

| Cologne and Perfume Preferences?!? Posted: 12/27/2005 4:09:41 PM | Im not a fan of most colognes. I do like alfred sung Hei. Its nice. One mist.. walk into it.. ur good. Thats all men should wear period. woman.. hm.. I love how my mom smells.. she wears oscar de la renta.. but I dont like it on anyone but her. my best friend wears the most lovely patcheouli ... and I think it only smells good on her. I wear dewberry oil from the body shop.. and the only other person I enjoyed smelling it on is my grandma.. wierd eh. heh. I wear the same scent as my grandma. God shes cool. I also like.. alfred sung shi. its nice too.. but only wear it on occasion.
I really like peoples natural smells. some people just smell so good.. a mix of the soap they use.. or the lotion.. and shampoos.. and the detergent they use.. I dunno just the basics is what I like. I like how everyone has their own smell. and those that stink.. well keep ur smell to urself. LOL.
|
| Cologne and Perfume Preferences?!? Posted: 12/27/2005 4:12:22 PM | I wear a few (seperately of course), depending on my mood and the things I am doing.
Drakkar Hugo Boss Davidoff Coolwater Swiss Army Alfred Sung Joop Vresaci Blue Jeans Obsession
On women I like
Obsession Vanilla Red Jeans Musk
I really, really like vanilla on women.
|
| Cologne and Perfume Preferences?!? Posted: 12/27/2005 4:14:57 PM | On me I like Tressor or anything by Chanel
On men I looove Joop also or Obsession
These will always make my head turn
|
| Cologne and Perfume Preferences?!? Posted: 12/27/2005 4:15:19 PM | | @nightcap: I like Drakkar too, but it is a helluva lot more subtle than Joop. I think I need to go home and take a cold shower... | |
|
| Cologne and Perfume Preferences?!? Posted: 12/27/2005 4:31:09 PM | | One has to be very careful with Joop. A little goes a LONG way. I find if I spray it on my hand and wipe iot on, then wash my hands it is subtle and not overbearing. Obsession is that way as well. | |
|
| Cologne and Perfume Preferences?!? Posted: 12/27/2005 4:34:12 PM | obsession is one of those ones that my senses really really dont like. mens or womans. and womans poision.. omg.. that should be outlawed. lol. | |
|
| Cologne and Perfume Preferences?!? Posted: 12/27/2005 4:55:14 PM | | I wear Joop sometimes.... a questionably masculine scent...or maybe it's just that the stuff is pink. Girls do seem to like it though. | |
|
| Cologne and Perfume Preferences?!? Posted: 12/27/2005 7:02:40 PM | | I love the smell of Old spice on a guy. Just love that smell. Makes me want to throw them on the floor and ravish their bodies. | |
|
| Cologne and Perfume Preferences?!? Posted: 12/27/2005 7:22:30 PM | Well, for everyday wear, I use a mix of cream, body spray and perfume. I start with coconut body cream, then spray on some Hawaiian Ginger body spray, then top it off with Vanilla from the Body Shop. Just a little of the body spray and perfume though...I prefer if you can only smell my sweet yumminess when you're close by.
For when I'm out on the town...LOVE Nicole Miller!
On a guy...hmmm...something woodsy and spicy is always nice!
