Once again you prove yourself to be very wise. I don't take it personally, in fact I completely agree with you girls do mature faster.
There are advantages for both people in having some years between them. I can't think of a single couple I know where the man isn't older. As far as how big an age difference, what ever works for the two people who's opinions mean anything at all. | |

I'm 35. As for being older and wiser....Ha, ha, ha....maybe a little. But we still make the wrong choices.
I don't think age is much of an issue, just be sure the guy isn't after your incredibly young 18-year old body, and nothing more. I have a hard time believing that a 35-year-old wants anything more from someone who's 18 or 19.
I personally set my limit at 27. It's a maturity thing for me. Sometime between 23 and 26, it's been my experience that women change dramatically, which is a good thing. I don't think I'd feel comfortable with it.

I resent the "Old balls" comment. I do not have old balls. Mine are the same as everyone else's. I take good care of them too.

Posted: 12/18/2004 6:40:42 PM | Umm...actually 35 isnt old at all to tell you the trueth....old is when all your phsycial and mental abilities slow down and don't function as fast as they use to....so long as you can take care of yourself and dont have relie on someone else to help you perform simple functions or stop traffic (lol its a joke) then one is NOT OLD.
My parents are 55 and 56...and I don't even consider them old yet.
Call me when you're hit your mid 70s then we will talk old until then get over all the vain things and enjoy your health while you still got it.

Since I am still very much active, and very much young at heart, flexible and still enjoy the things that I have always enjoyed... I tend to have more in common with the younger crowd. My daughter, my nieces and nephews all like to have me out with them and invite me regularly (all of whom are in thier 20's or early 30's) we have a blast, So much so that I have been propositioned on a number of occasions... I declined simply because I am not merely into just having sex (I will admit, one or two of those young things were tempting indeed...), now if they were serious about having a serious relationship... who knows...
Age is an arbitrary number on a calendar... inside we are all the same age... (well, as long as we are legally adults)...

Personally, I feel it all depends on the age... oh, say a 40 and 30 year old dating or 30 and 50 dating is all good.
But say, a 17 and 29 year old dating, or 18 and 36 year old dating is just not good in my eyes.
Either the older guy is digging to robbing the craddle deal, and tight younger sex or the younger girl just likes the fact the older man has money.
Either way, it's a downfall if you look at it. | |

Posted: 12/26/2004 1:33:23 PM | I am a 17 year old whose friends/potential anythings are older than I am. I don't think I have a single friend under the age of 19. I've always gotten along with people that are older than I am, and I have a very hard time--especially now--relating to people my own age. I've always felt I had to "dumb down" to make my own age group understand where I'm coming from. *shrug*
I prefer dating older men, just because they aren't into head games. If you get along with them, and if you both know what you want and can relate to each other in a mature way, then why not? 
I also don't want a boy; but how many boys are men at 17/18/19? Just generally speaking--there are exceptions to every rule, of course.
really, age is just a number. Pure & simple.
