| Questions and Answers...a game of catch! Posted: 11/11/2005 6:29:41 AM | How did we end up in the potty?? Worst case of stage fright for me would have been as a small (4yrs) child I was forced to learn to twirl the batton as a way of breaking me from my extreme shyness. As I was the youngest and smallest in the group I was at the back of the pack. One parade in particular there was a band following us and the majordomo had of course the big stick with the sharp object on top. As was common in those days, freaking children out was a national pasttime and effective control mechanism. I was told that if I lost time or fell back he would poke me in the bottom. For the length of that parade I don't think I ever lost consciousness of that man behind me...I was terrorized. Fortunately I made it through the parade without incident......(other than fodder for therapy that is)
