I don't even have to think about it: Banana Split ice cream from Fort DeSoto State Park concession stand in St. Petersburg, FL. Preferably in a waffle cone! (drool, drool)

Third favorite is my Homemade French Vanilla, the second favorite is Homemade French Vanilla, but I'll have to say my all time favorite hands down is Homemade French Vanilla. A few years back I liked rum raisin but now it's...Well, you get it.

Ohhhhhh! Just seeing what Debbie posted under me is having Eggnog and Pumpkin flavored ice cream treats dancing all around me temptingly! *glares at Debbie* Thanks a lot! Now I have to wait till December!! *chuckling and glaring a little less now*

OMG You absolutely have to try Starbucks Java Chip, it's just to-die-for! In fact, I won't even buy it anymore, because I can't stop eating it - it'll be gone in one day! LOL! However, it's the "birthday cake" of choice in our family, just put it in a chocolate cookie pieshell, covered with whipped cream and chocolate sauce - decadent!

Otherwise, good French vanilla, especially soft custard, or the seasonal pumpkin and egg nog ice creams when they come out...

Ok, now I want some!

i go to a local ice cream mecca with over 200 flavours on-site, and over 500 flavours which they rotate through the store. omg! heaven.

but even with all that selection, 80% of the time i get my favourite: banana ice cream paired with one of their dark chocolate varieties (like chocolate grandmarier or chocolate fudge) on a waffle cone. mmmm

notcre8ed2balone: Ok, here's your challenge - if you make great homemade French Vanilla, take it to the next level and make great homemade pumpkin or egg nog! Then you have to invite me over, or send me some....

Tee hee!

When it comes to ice cream, how can you narrow it down to just three?! So many flavors, so many kind, so little time ...

3. Butter Pecan
2. Mint-Chocolate Chip
1. Coconut-Pineapple

Then, of course, there's soft-served ice cream cone from Dairy Queen. Vanilla and chocolate swirled together. Transports me back to childhood every time.

Neapolitan when you can't choose between the basic flavors: vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry.

Coffee-flavored ice cream, sherbert, frozen yogurt, mochi ice cream, gelatto ... I can use some just about now!

(Great post, by the way!)

i use my countertop ice cream machine all the time, and make single serves into small plastic storage containers, my ice cream maker will fill about 5 of the smallest rubbermaid containers. i use either extracts or candy flavorings or liqueurs. My last batch was -bottom of container 2 teaspoons ice cream fudge topping, on top of that, 1/2 oz of macadamia nut liqueur, ice cream basic recipe vanilla with 2 drops of butterscotch candy flavor and 1/3 cup of butter toffee bits.
I also did a batch with chocolate truffles, chocolate liqueur, chocolate ice cream and bakers dark chocolate shavings
If you want to replace the alcohol, use simple surup or maple surup in place and add the extracts or candy flavors to that
