| Saddest song ever! Posted: 11/14/2007 7:55:30 PM | Cats in the Cradle by Harry Chapin
A child arrived just the other day, He came to the world in the usual way. But there were planes to catch, and bills to pay. He learned to walk while I was away. And he was talking 'fore I knew it, and as he grew, He'd say, "I'm gonna be like you, dad. You know I'm gonna be like you."
And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon, Little boy blue and the man in the moon. "When you coming home, dad?" "I don't know when, But we'll get together then. You know we'll have a good time then."
My son turned ten just the other day. He said, "Thanks for the ball, dad, come on let's play. Can you teach me to throw?" I said, "Not today, I got a lot to do." He said, "That's ok." And he walked away, but his smile never dimmed, Said, "I'm gonna be like him, yeah. You know I'm gonna be like him."
And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon, Little boy blue and the man in the moon. "When you coming home, dad?" "I don't know when, But we'll get together then. You know we'll have a good time then."
Well, he came from college just the other day, So much like a man I just had to say, "Son, I'm proud of you. Can you sit for a while?" He shook his head, and he said with a smile, "What I'd really like, dad, is to borrow the car keys. See you later. Can I have them please?"
And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon, Little boy blue and the man in the moon. "When you coming home, son?" "I don't know when, But we'll get together then, dad. You know we'll have a good time then."
I've long since retired and my son's moved away. I called him up just the other day. I said, "I'd like to see you if you don't mind." He said, "I'd love to, dad, if I could find the time. You see, my new job's a hassle, and the kid's got the flu, But it's sure nice talking to you, dad. It's been sure nice talking to you." And as I hung up the phone, it occurred to me, He'd grown up just like me. My boy was just like me.
And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon, Little boy blue and the man in the moon. "When you coming home, son?" "I don't know when, But we'll get together then, dad. You know we'll have a good time then."

Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad - Meat Loaf You Won't Dance With Me - April Wine Stand Tall - Burton Cummings Before The Dawn - Judas Priest (yes, even heavy metal produces tear-jerkers, and this one is no exception) Solitude - Black Sabbath (Ozzy never sounded so sad) Behind Blue Eyes - The Who Wasted Time - Eagles As Tears Go By - Rolling Stones Don't Leave Me Now - Supertramp The Thrill Is Gone - B.B. King Why'd You Lie - Colin James Sylvia's Mother - Dr. Hook Deep Cuts The Knife - Helix You're No Different - Ozzy Osbourne Two Suns In The Sunset - Pink Floyd (quite a few tear-jerkers on that particular album, 'The Final Cut')

| Saddest song ever! Posted: 11/25/2007 5:27:42 PM | The Band 's .. written by R.Robertson Album: Northern Lights-southern Cross
Title: It Makes No Difference
It makes no diff'rence where i turn I can't get over you and the flame still burns It makes no diff'rence, night or day The shadow never seems to fade away
And the sun don't shine anymore And the rains fall down on my door
Now there's no love As true as the love That dies untold But the clouds never hung so low before
It makes no diff'rence how far i go Like a scar the hurt will always show It makes no diff'rence who i meet They're just a face in the crowd On a dead-end street
And the sun don't shine anymore And the rains fall down on my door
These old love letters Well, i just can't keep 'cause like the gambler says Read 'em and weep And the dawn don't rescue me no more
Without your love i'm nothing at all Like an empty hall it's a lonely fall Since you've gone it's a losing battle Stampeding cattle They rattle the walls
And the sun don't shine anymore And the rains fall down on my door
Well, i love you so much It's all i can do Just to keep myself from telling you That i never felt so alone before

| Saddest song ever! Posted: 1/17/2008 10:42:58 PM | My favourite sad song is "Vincent" also called "Starry, Starry night" by some, by Don McLean and my latest fav sad song is "Goodbye my Almost Lover" by A Fine Frenzy, the line in Vincent that makes me cry is " and when no hope was left in sight, on that starry, starry night, you took your life as lovers often do..." makes me remember someone I loved once upon a time...... | Saddest song ever! Posted: 1/18/2008 6:25:49 AM | VALENTINE`S DAY by BETTY BOO.
nothing to do with that particular day approaching either but it really gives me sad vibes when i hear it or when i play it on cd.
i guess iam not alone in that when i feel down i play tracks that make me feel worse in that it keeps me feeling fed up.
also when i have been with some one and heard certain tracks then having broke up and hear that track again all the baddness comes flooding back....not unusual in any way but i personally find it difficult to move on......so " that " track plays more on my mind.

| Saddest song ever! Posted: 1/18/2008 6:39:51 AM | Check out these lyrics. This is possibly one of the most real songs I've heard. The end just kind of hits you like a brick.
[Verse 1] She was on her way to becoming a college graduate Wouldn't even stop to talk to the average kid The type of latina I'd sit and contemplate marriage with **** the horse and carriage shit, her love was never for hire Disciplined, intellectual beauty's what I desire Flyer than Salma Hayek or Jennifer Lopez Everyone told me, kickin' it to her was hopeless At first I just thought, she didn't mess with broke kids The thug niggaz always talking about, how they smoke kids But the rich-sniff-coke kids got no play "I'm not even interested" is what her body language would say Everyone around the way, gave up trying to get in it It didn't matter how good your game was, she wasn't with it On the block, ****es was jealous, but wouldn't admit it Talk shit, and deny to everyone that they did it 'Cause they regreted the long list of niggaz that they let hit it And no one ever gave them shit except McDonald's and did-dick Smoking weed with thoughts of envy, whenever they lit it She smoked intelligently and they bit it, always trying to copy But when they tried to use her vocab, they sounded sloppy She had a style, all her own, respectful and pure I was sick in the head for her, and there wasn't a cure
[Hook ] Don't you know that, time waits for no man Not fate, it's all planned I'm blessed just to know you I've loved and I've lost just to hold you all night Can't find, a reason why God came, to you and I If I had the chance again, I'd never let you go Hold tight to your love, 'cause you never know
[Verse 2] Her eyes are brown and beautiful, yet empty and sad I used to talk to her occasionally, and she was glad That I wasn't just another nigga trying to get in it So every now and then we'd stop and talk for a minute I didn't have a gimmick so the minutes turned to hours On her birthday, I gave her a poem with flowers Then I took her out to dinner after her cousin's baby shower We talked about, power to the people and such We spent more time together but it was never enough I never tried to sneak a touch, or even cop a feel I was too interested, in keeping it real Perfectly honest and complete, she would always call me "carino," And never Technique, bought me a new book to read every 2 or 3 weeks Forever changing the expression of my thoughts when I speak It was because of her, I even deaded all of my freaks She convinced me, to stop hangin' out on the streets To stop robbin' and stealin', from people like you Instead I took her out to the Apollo and the Bronxu We sailed in Barrio (?) and the Metropolitan too Got to the point when I was either with her or my crew So I decided one day, to tell her my feelings was true I couldn't live without her so I told her, facing my fears But honey's only response, was a face full of tears She could only sob hysterically, holding me tight I tried to speak, but she wouldn't stop until I left sight I felt like a moth who got himself too close to the light Except I didn't burn, I turned cold after that night
[Hook]
[Verse 3] I went on with my life, college and my career Ended up locked up like an animal for a year Where the C.O.'s talk to you like they were the overseer Then I got sent to the hole, when my exit was near At night in my cell, I'd close my eyes and I'd see her Hold her close in my dreams, but when I woke she disappeared Just an empty cell until the state gave me parole in the summer came back, in tact and on track But the fact of the matter, is I still felt cold Even after my mother, hugged me, cryin' at home My real niggaz would catch me thinkin', out of my zone ****in' lots of different women, but I still felt alone Relatively well-known around the New York underground But I kept thinking of her and how we used to be down The sound of her voice, and the beautiful smell of her hair Though gone physically, somehow it was still there I had to do something, because the shit was too much to bear So I went and visited the building where she used to live The world looks a lot different after you do a bid The way your life done changed While primitive minds (are) still stuck in the same game Like her cousin who was on the corner slangin' cocaine Stepped in the lobby and tapped the button next to her last name Her mom buzzed me up and hugged me up, like a mother oughta But her facial expression changed, when I asked about her daughter
[Hook]
[Verse 4] She told me that there was a note for me, that was left behind She had left it there waiting, for such a long time I was inclined to ask about it but she brought it up first I saw a tear swelling up in her eye, and then she cursed She told me where the letter was and I started thinking the worst Reversed my position, stepped over and opened the door And sure enough there was an envelope with my name on the floor "Nobody loves you more than me carino" is what the letter said
"By the time you get to read this, I'll probably be dead But when you left in '97 a part of me went to Heaven I thank God at least I got to know what love really was But it hurt me, to see what true love really does 'Cause even though we never made love, you were all that there was It was because I loved you so much that I had to make you leave You made me doubt the way I thought, you made me want to believe And then I slipped up, and I let you get close to me It was hard to not be openly when people spoke to me This was not the way I thought my life was supposed to be Baby don't you see, I had a blood transfusion that left me with HIV Hoped the end exists for me since late in 1993 I died a virgin, I wish I could've given myself to you I cried in the hospital because there was no one else but you Promise that you'll meet me in paradise inevitably No matter what, I'll keep your love forever with me"
What happened for the rest of the day is still a blur But I remember wishing that I was dead, instead of her She was buried on August 3rd The story ends without a sequel And now you know why Technique, don't ****ing fall in love with people Hold the person that you love closely if they're next to you The one you love, not the person that'll simply have sex with you Appreciate them to the fullest extent, and then beyond 'Cause you never really know what you got, until it's gone

| Saddest song ever! Posted: 3/12/2008 5:51:32 PM | "Every Day Is Exactly The Same" (by Nine Inch Nails)
I believe I can see the future Cause I repeat the same routine I think I used to have a purpose But then again That might have been a dream I think I used to have a voice Now I never make a sound I just do what I've been told I really don't want them to come around Oh, no
[Chorus:] Every day is exactly the same Every day is exactly the same There is no love here and there is no pain Every day is exactly the same
I can feel their eyes are watching In case I lose myself again Sometimes I think I'm happy here Sometimes, yet I still pretend I can't remember how this got started But I can tell you exactly how it will end
I'm writing on a little piece of paper I'm hoping someday you might find Well I'll hide it behind something They won't look behind I'm still inside here A little bit comes bleeding through I wish this could have been any other way But I just don't know, I don't know what else I can do

| Saddest song ever! Posted: 3/15/2008 8:47:43 AM | "Just A Car Crash Away" ~Marilyn Manson
Love is a fire. Burns down all that it sees. Burns down everything. Everything you think Burns down Everything you say.
She blew me her death-kiss And the mouth-marks Bled down my eye, Like her dying On my windshield. I can already feel Her worms Eating my spine. So how can it be this lonely? Is this all we get For our lives? Is love only sweeter when One of dies?
Then I knew that our love was Just a car crash away. I knew that our love was just a car crash away. I knew that our love was Just a car crash away. I knew that our love was Just a car crash away.
Love is a fire. Burns down all that it sees. Burns down everything. Everything you think Burns Down Everything you say.
Love is a fire. Burns down all that it sees. Burns down everything. Everything you think Burns Down Everything you say.

| Saddest song ever! Posted: 3/16/2008 8:44:48 AM | Enrique Iglesias - Somebody's Me
You, do you remember me?, Like, I remember you? Do you spend your life, going back in your mind to that time?, Cause I, I walk the streets alone, I hate being on my own, and everyone can see that, I really fell, and I'm going through hell. Thinking about you with somebody else.
Somebody wants you, Somebody needs you. Somebody dreams about you every single night. Somebody cant breathe, without you it's lonely. Somebody hopes that one day you will see, that somebody's me. That somebody's me. yeaa...
How, how did we go wrong? It was so good, and now it's gone, And I pray at night, that our path's soon will cross. What we had, isn't lost. Cause you are always right here in my thoughts..
Somebody wants you, Somebody needs you. [Somebody's Me lyrics on http://www.metrolyrics.com]
Somebody dreams about you every single night. Somebody can't breathe, without you it's lonely. Somebody hopes that someday you will see, That somebody's me. Oh yeah...
You will always be in my life, even if im not in your life. Cause you're in my memory...
You, when you remember me?... And before you set me free, oh listen please...
Somebody wants you, Somebody needs you. Somebody dreams about you every single night. Somebody cant breathe, without you it's lonely. Somebody hopes that someday you will see, that somebody's me. That somebody's me. Somebody's me... That somebody's me... That somebody's me... Oh yeah...
