I cry when I hear this one:

Tammy Graham- A Dozen Red Roses

A dozen red roses
And a simple bouquet
Arrived at the church
On her wedding day

The bridesmaides gather 'round her
Last details done
But a dozen red roses
Who could they be from

The moment was close now
The church filled with light
She stood like a picture
In a glow of white.
All her friends awaiting
The music softly playing
Yet, she reached for the roses
On the table where they lay.

Then from the roses
She picked up an envelope
Her hand was guided by her heart
And for every rose
A single teardrop fell
As she lifted her veil and slowly read the card:

"You're in your room sleeping
As I write these words
I know you won't read them
till years from now"

"God will call me home soon
I'll miss you're wedding day,
So your mom will keep
This note to send
With a rose bouquet"

"So take one of these roses
To hold in your hand
And I'll be beside you,

As Always,
Love Dad"

And my all time tear jerker of a song:

vince Gill- Go Rest High on That Mountain

I know your life
On earth was troubled
And only you could know the pain
You weren't afraid to face the devil
You were no stranger to the rain

Go rest high on that mountain
Son, you work on earth is done
Go to heaven a shoutin'
Love for the Father and Son

Oh, how we cried the day you left us
We gathered round your grave to grieve
I wish I could see the angels faces
When they hear your sweet voice sing

Go rest high on that mountain
Son, you work on earth is done
Go to heaven a shoutin'
Love for the Father and Son

There are two songs that come to mind that always make me cry. Both were written and recorded by George Canyon. "My Name" was written for friends of his who were expecting a baby but late in the pregnancy, she lost the baby. It's sad but also very beautiful. The other song "I Want You to Live" was written to the families of the Canadian soldiers who have been killed in Afghanistan. The video of this one is posted at http://www.georgecanyon.com/video.html

Both songs make me cry every time I listen to them.

'Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying', by Gerry and the Pacemakers. It always makes me sad. And the one about his little boy dying, I think its called, "Tears In Heaven", by Eric Clapton.

Elvis Presley Dont Cry Daddy

Today I stumbled from my bed
With thunder crashing in my head
My pillow still wet
From last night tears
And as I think of giving up
A voice inside my coffee-cup
Kept crying out
Ringing in my ears

Don't cry daddy
Daddy, please don't cry
Daddy, you've still got me and little Tommy
Together we'll find a brand new mommy
Daddy, daddy, please laugh again
Daddy ride us on your back again
Oh, daddy, please don't cry

Why are children always first
To feel the pain and hurt the worst
It's cruel, somehow
It just don't seem right
'Cause ev'ry time I cry I know
It hurts my little children so
I wonder will it be the same tonight

Don't cry daddy
Daddy, please don't cry
Daddy, you've still got me and little Tommy
Together we'll find a brand new mommy
Daddy, daddy, please laugh again
Daddy ride us on your back again
Oh, daddy, please don't cry
Oh, daddy, please don't cry

The Last Kiss by J. Frank Wilson and the Cavaliers or Pearl Jam.

Neil Yong has penned many a song with deep meaning and feeling. I dont think you can surpass his singing Imagine for the 9/11 telethon. The look in his eyes and on his face. You will be hard pressed to find someone who sang a song with more or sadness. I don't think anyone has ever sang a song with more feeling.

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

Another one I am not sure if it was posted of not cause I didnt read through the whole thread but it is calle "The little girl" by John Michael Montgromey.

What else, most of the slow songs of Rascal flatt lol (they are awsome)

ummm... "the baby" by blake shelton cause it kida fits my family.

what else, my god I could name hundreds that make me cry never mind just one or 2 lol.

But then again I am a VERY emotional person sometimes (one of my bad trates) lol.

Faith Hill "Better Days"

Hard times are falling on you
Even when you smile I see the hurt come through
And I know it feels like its never gonna end
You say nothings been right for a long time
And every step you Take is qa uphill climb
I see you reaching out so let me tell you friend that

Better days are coming around
I know you feel like the whole world is gone and let you down but
Better days they're comin for you
I know they will
'Cause I'll be right there making sure they do

And if your sky aint looking the fairest
There aint no reason to be embarrassed
Aint nobody in the world that felt
The rain from time to time
And just when you think its all over and done
The nights get easier one by one
So take my hand and hold on tight
And soon your gonna find that

Chorus
Better days are comin' around
I know you feel the the whole worlds gonna let you done
Better days they're comin' for you
I know they will cause i'll be right here makin sure they do

I know what its like
to have to face the fight
But I won't let you satnd alone

Repeat chorus

Oh better days
I know, I know, I know
The whole worlds gone and let you down
Better days are coming for you I know they will

ever??? well, I don't know about that,a nd if I went through all my albums I would be here typing for an hour, but in no real order....
The Four Horsemen - Song For Absent Friends (always reminded of a best friend who died way too early)

Thin Lizzy - Cowboy Song (a simple old time rocker for when you're feeling "lonesome on the trail")

Three Dog Night - One Is The Loniest Number (well it just is, tito pass me a tissue)

Twisted Sister - The Price (hair metal tears are from the same pain as everyone elses)

WASP -Sleeping In The Fire (hair metal tears again, but over a sleazier girl, haha...its a joke)

Grand Funk RR - Bad Time (almost 3 minutes of being reminded, constantly, its a bad time for being in love)

Foriegner - Cold As Ice (can you say ex-wife)

Sloan - The Rest of My Life (not sure if this belongs here, but the video would)

Kickaxe - Dreamin' About You (more 80's metal to put on a mixed tape after your girl dumps you)

Michel Pagliaro - Rainshowers (no sad song list is complete without at least one Pagliaro tune)

Quiet Riot - Love's A **** (nuff said)

Valentine's Day is Over - Billy Bragg

Thank you for the things you bought me thank you for the card
Thank you for the things to taught me when you hit me hard
That love between two people must be based on understanding
Until that's true you'll find your things all stacked out on the landing
Surprise surprise.
Valentine's Day is over.

If any one here has watched the very last episode of Six Feet Under, the song they played at the end when Claire is driving away. It's called Breathe Me ,by Sia.
It brings a tear to my eye every time I hear it..If your a fan of the show, you will know exactly what I'm talking about.

I think it's people's perception of how they see a song. How they link songs to feelings. For example the song 'There you'll be" by Faith Hill may be seen differently as I see it. For me, it was on the radio a lot when my father died, and on the way home from the funeral I said to my mom 'Mom..listen to the words of this song'....and it made her cry (which I felt terrible about)..and I listened to it time and time again and associated it with my father, and it gave me sadness....but also some happiness in a sense. But again, other people might perceive it as a goodbye love song...I saw it as him and my mom, and me in a sense and as him being the one soaring across the sky...

There You'll Be - Faith Hill

When I think back
On these times
And the dreams
We left behind
I'll be glad 'cause
I was blessed to get
To have you in my life
When I look back
On these days
I'll look and see your face
You are there for me

[CHORUS:]
In my dreams
I'll always see you soar
Above the sky
In my heart
There always be a place
For you for all my life
I'll keep a part
Of you with me
And everywhere I am
There you'll be

Well you showed me
How it feels
To feel the sky
Within my reach
And I always
Will remember all
The strength you
Gave to me
Your love made me
Make it through
Oh, I owe so much to you
You were right there for me

[Repeat chorus]

'Cause I always saw in you
My light, my strength
And I want to thank you
Now for all the ways
You were right there for me
You were right there for me
For always

[Repeat chorus]

"She's Gone" Black Sabbath

I've been gone a long long time - waiting for you
I din't want to see you go, oh, no, no
And now it's hurting so much, what can I do?
I wanted you to be my wife

The days are passing slowly, since you've gone
Your memories are all I have, yes I have
I sit here waiting but you'll never show
Without you I can't carry on, ooh my baby

You said you'd always love me, all of my life
And then you said your last goodbye, yeah, goodbye
Why the sudden change, why all the lies?
I should have seen it in your eyes

The endless hours of heartache, waiting for you
My summer love has turned to rain, all the pain
The silent emptiness of one sided love
My life means nothing now you're gone, ooh my baby
