Posted: 10/23/2005 8:31:44 PM | | I must say we are all around the 30 mark, so really how many more years are we gonna keep our looks for. But, that being said we still tend to put alot of emphasis on outer beauty. But, when you think about it the later years of your life when you have grown old. What will the beauty mean. Would the inner beauty not cary you through alot better. It would really suck to realize all that made you feel good about someone is how they looked and how they made you look by being with them. When you are on your death bed or really sick, are you going to be thinking how hot your girlfriend was when you met her? Yet knowing all this, we still tend ot put outer attraction high up on the list. Alot of people say they don't, but just look at the crush list all the cuties in the lead. I think society, movies, peer pressure when younger steers us towards looking at people for the outside. So much so that some people are in deep depression for how they look. Then that just compiles the problem, because they lose their personality too. So in answer to your question, it does not matter what you put beside attraction, whether it is funny, smart, romantic, rich. Attraction usually out weights everything. Only a few strong ones can see through all this and be secure enough to love for what love is. | |

Even tho he had the looks, he was a horrible person personality wise. He was antisocial and I am a VERY social person. He was apathetic, and narcicistic (probably spelt that wrong). IF we went out somewhere, it was like pulling teeth to get him to dance. If I started to loosen up and be me, I was called down about it....stop being so crass...you are an embarrassment, blah blah
Next time around my man is going to have a sense of humour. I still seem to be drawn to that sexy handsome man, but if he has NO humour in him....nice seeing you coming, better watching you going! | |

It's difficult when you find someone you enjoy being with and you know enjoys being with you and is so dead set against allowing things to take their natural course. I met a man who is sexy and funny, extremely intelligent, charming and has as many faults as I have........and just to see his name pop up or hear his voice makes me smile like I have never smiled before. Sexy or funny...it really doesn't matter.....it's who the person is and what's inside that really matters. | |

Of course that doesn't always come across through a computer, so that's why you can never really tell if you click until you hang out together and at least experience one or two flubs. If a guy is witty (which requires intelligences.....) and we can make each other laugh until our faces hurt, then he's golden in my books!
