we get a choice????
The final power resides wit the one who says Yes or No. Did you forget you're the one who makes the choice? Now I will admit I wonder why in a lot of cases. (The "you" refers to gender, not individual)

| If a women had to choice a man a funny man or sexy Posted: 7/20/2007 1:56:04 PM | I prefer looks over humor but will gladly accept a man who has one or both qualities. My current sweetie is IMHO quite good looking, and has a kind heart and a great sense of humor to boot.
A past boyfriend should have been a comedian. He always found something humorous about every situation, sometimes to my embarassment.
I would far sooner be in a relationship with a funny man than one who fails to look at the positives in life. Having been that way myself for years, I can honestly say that negative people miss out on the joys of life, and often turn others away with their sour attitude.
Please note that I had only read the first few responses in this thread before I posted my reply.

| If a women had to choice a man a funny man or sexy Posted: 7/20/2007 2:32:40 PM | Ultimately, I would need a man with a sense of humour. I couldn't date a guy who only had looks about him; what fun is that?
That being said, I still feel you'd need to have a physical attraction to a person, because what's the point of dating a funny guy if he's repulsive physically?
I do believe though, that as you get to know someone better they do become attractive to you, even if it seems like you wouldn't have given them a second look otherwise. It's happened to me before! :)

| If a women had to choice a man a funny man or sexy Posted: 8/1/2007 3:53:05 PM | I think the answer seems loud and clear (and hasn't changed much in two years).
Funny wins by a landslide.
... now where did I put that copy of "Stand Up Comedy for Dummies" book?

| If a women had to choice a man a funny man or sexy Posted: 8/22/2007 12:49:37 PM | I guess to me the perfect man will be deeply sensuous- highly attuned to energy flow- and must be a happy soul inside. Laughter, hot body, and long lasting kisses- will be the one for me thanks. LOL Sierra~ | |

I read alot of profile and women like a guy who is funny over looks but almost always within the first few emails ask for a picture. Which one is it ladies funny or cute This was the original post.... and I think he misunderstands why women want a picture. I know for me, there is a huge security aspect with asking for a picture.... and I also work for a large company - I certainly won't date a coworker. As for the original question - humour or looks...... I will go for humour hands down any day. It shows character and strength - a sense of humour can get you through many a tough spot. Looks fade with age, character tends to strengthen.

| If a women had to choice a man a funny man or sexy Posted: 8/23/2007 7:45:14 PM | Forget Funny or Sexy - some days I would just settle for conscious - breathing with a pulse! LOL - Okay just kidding. Funny, absolutely Funny. Humour tends to take intelligence and creativity. | |

| If a women had to choice a man a funny man or sexy Posted: 10/3/2007 12:41:44 AM | okokok... so i'm a funny guy. really. ask my mom. but i also like to think i'm a sexy man. but i think i'm sexy partly because i'm funny. and yet 10 times a day i get asked what i do for a living. i think that there is a combination of things that get different folks revving for different reasons. if you are really hot but a stick in the mud, the hot probably won't matter to the person who asked you why the chicken crossed the road if you smiled and flexed your muscles and said 'cuz thats where the other chickens all bought their cool hats. did i mention that i think i'm sexy.

| If a women had to choice a man a funny man or sexy Posted: 10/3/2007 4:00:05 AM | "Sexy sags"
lmfao now that's funny! lately my SO and i have been joking about a quote in one of the adam sandler movies:
"old balls has a five year plan!" "ya, not to die!"
i dunno though, sexy can really be a state of mind just as much as a physical attribute i think. i know i'll be wantin' it six-ways from wednesday when i'm 90 and by that age sex will become funny so it's a win-win situation! LOL

| If a women had to choice a man a funny man or sexy Posted: 10/3/2007 4:37:56 AM | I think I have the best of all aspects. The guy I hang out with right now started out as a stand up comic, then he became a pop star in the 80's, then a model/actor/musician. He still models, acts, and is a musician and is sexy as all get out!!! Alas...just my best friend............................................................................... for now!!!! | |

| If a women had to choice a man a funny man or sexy Posted: 10/3/2007 4:59:15 AM | A sense of humour is a must. Humour is what keeps us moving when we are on overload, but having said that there is a difference between humour/witt and stupidity. It's very hard to break down what any one person is looking for. In the end it's not just humour, or intelligence or good looks, it's the entire package put together. Everyone is trying to figure what it is that people are looking for and I suppose the bottomline is everyone is looking for that one person they click with. Habbier it's the entire package! The trouble with these forums is that a profile and picture cannot possibly represent the true real life person. With so many profiles and pictures people are 'stuck' on this sounds good, that looks good. It's like a child in a candy store.. you get to pick ONE which one do I pick! I have friends on this site and funny enough some of us had the same person wanting to meet us :| ... it's a shopping spree, but people are not for sale and their feelings do not come cheap! Something we all need to remember! For whatever it's worth.... my view Cheers and Best of Luck! | |
