i agree on that bigsmile i think sometimes these forums give to much power to hurt others ...i no lots of older women who search out younger men and gays that search out gays but that means nothing in the scale of life besides thats why its his life and not mine........live your own life as you wish is the rule to life how ever you wish ....i mean i find it hard to believe no one on here has ever dated younger not even a year younger .....wow ....so now we only date our own age group exactly ..................im shocked in how cold some can be to anothers feelings because of the fact they can ......we need to be more respectfull to each other at some point in time ........

^^^^ chalk up some Big Time Brownie Points for SweetHeartSasha on this thread. It is one of the most intelligent replies I have seen to someone else. Those of you who are chastising such a young man for seeking the company of an older woman, should be ashamed of yourselves. I have been with older women when I was younger and it is difficult to overlook their life experiences. Some of us men mature much faster than we are given credit for. A more mature woman offers something that is unparallel to others who are younger.

It is not always about sex. It could be because of the kind of intelligence and vibrant personality a more mature woman offers. A more mature woman carries herself with confidence, dignity and class (in most cases) where a younger woman is still finding herself (also, in most cases) Maturity level between the sexes, still has women way out in front, but some men are closing that gap in a hurry. Anyone out there ever see "In Praise of Older Women" starring Tom Berenger? Watch it. It will be worth your while, before you criticize others.

A special note for the English teachers out there. Where are your double negatives towards me? I'm sure I have a few grammer mistakes in here, but I am also sure you will not be too critical of my spelling, right?

Last note to the girl 300 k south of me SweetHeartSasha... You will get married to someone, despite grammer and spelling. So long as you speak what is in your heart, all will be well.

Good luck to the young gentleman seeking older women and a slap on the hand to the others who are critical. It is after all, an open discussion. Be neutral and be supportive.

SweetSasha... I second the motion. He does deserve the very best he can get. He did put his heart out in here and even got chewed up by a select few. My sentiments were directed at everyone involved in this thread. But for certain.. the honor goes to the young man bearing his soul, in search of answers... Good luck

I'm also wondering why all of a sudden there is such a huge interest in "older women" for the younger guys...it really has become a sort of fad...any thoughts guys? or did you all decide to come out of the closet at the same time?

Everyone is filling her/his own needs and using everyone else to do it.

Older men and women are using younger ones to reaffirm their youth and...marketability. Unable to find fulfillment from within they look to the world of appearance and hard bodies for their fountain of youth and self-worth.

Young girls whose fathers were invisible, critical or abusive are looking to reaffirm their value with willing father figures. And as soon as those father figures become grandfather figures the women move on, scratching their heads. Money and security would also be a motive.

Now to the question of younger men. It's much like the younger women, searching to redress, or undress) flaws, perceived or actual (same thing) in parenting by their mothers. It is often the "controlling mom" who may have been abused by some male authority figure when she was a child. Anyway, older women need to know that these boys, for all their sophistication and apparent depth, are actually humping their moms. But be of good cheer you matrons; you're doing something very important for society. Boys who have these issues with their moms may have been on the path to homosexuality. You could be the only hold they have on their masculinity. So be nice to them. They have had a hard time with another older woman and will not be able to relate to the women their own age until they can relate to her proxy, you. The grandmother thingy usually spells the end to these "relationships" too.

Hope this helps.

For some strange reason i love coming into conversations like this and read all the nice/crap posts. Age is irrelivant people (unless your 50 and shes 14) Its all about how you act and how mature you are and how you grew up. (my opinion at least) Ive been on dates with a 48 year old women and with 22 year olds. Some of the older ones were pretty immature while the younger ones peaked my interests. Like i said folks, its all about how you carry yourself

I really don't write in these things. In fact, this is the second time.

No doubt we can only speak in gerealities, to which there will always be exceptions. But the fact that you're not fixated on a 50 year old nor an 18 year old disqualifies you from the exceptional category. Age is NOT a factor for you. You probably date women your own age too. You see differences in personality, where our "friends" are differentiating by age.

Thanks for reinforcing my point. You're a very perceptive...player. and I imagine your women appreciate your looking beyond their ages and into their minds.

Alot of women that are older have already raised their kids. Sometime we are contacted by men that are the same age as our sons. We think sometimes these men are just looking for a women with money, land, houses. So they dont have to work and support themselves.
We older women are flattered by being noticed by the younger croud, but at the same time, we want someone mature enough to handle anything that comes up. Alot of times these younger men get mad too easy, they dont show any respect, they swear all the time, throw things around, and punch holes in the walls. Now how would you like to feel scared in your own home.
If you want an older woman, dont make her 15 year older than you. That is too many years. Be mature. loveing, and gentle.

I am almost 23 and have met a lot of different women. Met meaning talked to not been with by that way. The ladies who are the age of 30 and up are much more mature and nice. It seems that they know what they want, unlike the little gals of my age who go after any man who can put a pound of gel in his hair and wax his eyebrows. So older women....I love you and when I find one i will be happy!!!

Here is a tip back for you...lighten up on the good English thing, not everybody is articulate and i dont think it makes the least bit of difference to a woman young or older what your vocabulary and your writing skills are...what really matters is the kind of person you are, and nasty isnt going to impress anyone.....I have known and have met a lot of older women whose preference seems to be younger men, young cowboy types especially, and in doing so i have noticed that in most cases it turns out great for the young guy, and like they say, then the cowboy rides away...leaving the older woman feeling very let down and lonely and inadequate.....I am an older man who looks much younger, but i still prefer to date in my own age range simply because i have a lot more in common with women who are within 5 to 10 years of my own age, in terms of cultural and musical mindset, as well as events we have all experienced along the way....and again, that is just a generality, i am always excited to find an intelligent and inquiring mind that thinks outside the box...it is very stimulating..in fact, it is that thinking that is stuck right inside the box and glued to its walls that just makes me shake my head, and usually, walk away quickly in another direction...
