| fear of death Posted: 10/21/2005 1:21:04 PM | | i think if people actually knew what was going to happen when they die, they'd realize its something to look forward to. but theres no hurry to get there, cuz once you do, you'll be there for a while. just enjoy life and do what you feel is right and you have nothing to fear | |

| fear of death Posted: 10/21/2005 3:29:47 PM | | A natural fear of death prevents us from doing dangerous things...However, if you are generally healthy and safe, yet you still have a contant, obsessive fear of death, then that may be a mental health issue, and one should see a Doctor or Mental Health Profession as soon as possible... | |

| fear of death Posted: 10/21/2005 3:58:08 PM | I am not afraid of my own death. I just hope for it to be quick and relatively painless. However I am afraid of the people I love dying. I fear that intensely. Almost to the point that I withdraw from people out of fear of losing them. ( I grew up in a funeral home.....so I saw a lot of death) <-------justifying why I may be crazy!! | |

| fear of death Posted: 10/21/2005 4:42:02 PM | I think most people are afraid of living, not dying.
I thought about my death briefly last year. It's not something I fear, the only reason I thought about my death was because my brother gave me a burial plot for xmas last year......lol, He had an extra one....

| fear of death Posted: 10/21/2005 5:10:33 PM | | Why would someone have an "extra" burial plot? | |
|
| fear of death Posted: 10/21/2005 5:45:07 PM | Yea , alot of people are afraid of living. I myself wouldn't want to out live loved ones.
And when your dead the pain is all over | |
|
| fear of death Posted: 10/21/2005 10:05:26 PM | If you want to know about the extra plot, my family has had there own burial plots for decades, grandparents, great grandparents, all buried in the same area. There are 4 plots remaining, 2 for my parents, and two extra. My sister and I were both married, so it made no sense to give them to us, my parents gave the 2 remaining plots to my brother. I've been on my own for 9 years, and my brother asked me if I wanted the other plot. It was a month before xmas, and he said, "just think of it as your xmas present" At least I know who my neighbours are going to be.

| fear of death Posted: 10/21/2005 10:17:20 PM | I'm not afraid of death as I have come close to death many times but like a cat I have 9 lives. I am enjoying life as much as I can and when life is shitty I find reason to keep going.
I've never seen the leafs win the cup and I would at least like to witness that in my lifetime lol.
I'll probably die with a smile on my face knowing that I have lived a fantastic life and I know that family and friends that have passed before me will welcome me to my new home

| fear of death Posted: 10/22/2005 12:44:41 AM | I used to never fear death. Especially in my teen years I did so many things where I took way too many chances with my life. Now that i've matured (somewhat) and i've been to more friends funerals than anyone should ever have to attend at my age, i've learned to appreciate life more and i'm absolutely terrified of ever having to leave everyone in my life that I love so dearly. I know how it feels to have to say goodbye for good and I couldn't imagine ever doing that to the people I love. I'm terrified when I think of the day I will take my last breath. I do pray to god though that i'll never ever die for the same reasons that I lost so many of my friends. One thing that makes me feel better is knowing that I lived an amazing life, I experienced lots (good and bad) and i've been loved by so many great people. But there are so many things i'd still love to experience before I leave this world. | |

| fear of death Posted: 10/22/2005 4:35:21 AM | Please come now I think I'm falling I'm holding to all I think is safe It seems I found the road to nowhere And I'm trying to escape I yelled back when I heard thunder But I'm down to one last breath And with it let me say Let me say
Hold me now I'm six feet from the edge and I'm thinking That maybe six feet Ain't so far down
I'm looking down now that it's over Reflecting on all of my mistakes I thought I found the road to somewhere Somewhere in His grace I cried out heaven save me But I'm down to one last breath And with it let me say Let me say
Hold me now I'm six feet from the edge and I'm thinking That maybe six feet Ain't so far down
Sad eyes follow me But I still believe there's something left for me So please come stay with me 'Cause I still believe there's something left for you and me For you and me For you and me
Hold me now I'm six feet from the edge and I'm thinking That maybe six feet Ain't so far down
