I have never heard any guys standing around talking about creams and ointments to be rid of them :) Ladies stop picking at yourselves, you are awsome creatures and the outside is good but the inside covers up any flaws, If somebody is that d*mn shallow that they are turned off by them they arent out to know the inner person, just the outter and that isnt going to last all that long

Posted: 11/7/2005 5:18:30 AM | Well I like to call mine my "battle scars" because that is what my son called them when he was really small...Now sometimes he'll rub my belly and tell me to tell him about when he was born because he knows they are from him. I know I am very self-concious about them. And I know I should be proud. But you sometimes have to wonder what men are thinking who don't have children? Not that I have slept with many since my ex....but I always feel like I am being judged..I guess I should let it go...The nice guys are probably just thinking about the sex while I am wasting moments trying to hide them...LOL

Maturing changes views and opinions about everything. Most of life's 'frets' begin to fall away. I have noticed mature men also see beyond the physical and seek only an awesome deep pleasure for themselves and their partners. I honestly have never felt more beautiful and appreciated due to my inner changes and the incredible men I have met.......it is a good time to be old....lol

Posted: 11/7/2005 5:38:57 PM | | Well, to be honest, I am self-conscience about my stretch marks, but after reading all of your posts, I feel a little better about them. I mean after all my son was almost 10 pounds at birth, so I should have known I would have something to remind me of the pain!...haha

I never got any, except on my boobs from my pregnancies, but those are almost invisible, yet my daughter had them at the age of 16 on her hips and thighs>>> Funny how things work....

| do stretch marks bother you? Posted: 12/20/2005 4:39:12 PM | | Wouldn't someone who lost a lot of weight quickly have the same thing? In my mind, stretch marks translate as one of two things: I'm a mother or I've lost a lot of weight. Both are postiive things, that should be congratulated, praised, not frowned upon. Or maybe I'm missing the point? :-P | |

Nope, I think you hit the nail squarely on the head, PD.
My experience has been that they bothered me more than anyone else. None of the guys I've ever dated had a problem with them. It was a self-conscious thing I had to overcome. I still cringe at them sometimes, but no one else has ever thought anything of them. Truly, they're very trivial things to obsess over or worry about in the grand scheme of things.
