OP -- once upon a time, in a land where sex was often and frequent, cumming at the same time my partner did was a condition that happened more times than not. Whether this was through direct and accurate manipulation of body parts and movements to build it up together, or whether it was wholly by accident...it happened more often than not. If it didn't happen, and one was just a little off the other, then no harm no foul, because we still got the desired effect after an afterglow.
Unless it's a FWB, I never cum before the woman I'm with. If it's FWB, it's hit or miss really, and no real concern about who gets what...but in a relationship with my SO, she gets the 2:1 rule...at least 2 orgasms for her before I even attempt to get the one for myself. I think it may be 'your experience' but it is MOST definitely not indicative of women & men in general.
