Posted: 1/10/2005 1:34:27 PM | Just a note about the list I posted. I live in California and the sites that I was researching were mainly sites for US or maybe in some cases California. That is why I didn't include the findsomeone.ca site. I have noticed however, that there are quite a few people here that are from Canada so maybe someone could post a list of appropriate sites to that area. Just a suggestion. Also, the sites that I posted are DATING sites where none of them are purely for intimate encounters. | |

Thats how claria, 180solutions etc make 60 million + a quarter. Hopefully the new spyware laws put them all in jail, but i doubt it since fortune 500 companies use them to advertise. | |

Bookofmatches.com is where the completely shallow go, i think the design and layout of the sign is impressive, especially the feature that shows your sign compatibility with other people. But it's way too open for everyone. I can click on any girl's picture and see what people said about her and some of that stuff is nasty to say the least. It's definitely the next best thing to POF though; not as user friendly and populated.
So far POF is the best out there on the net. | |

I wanted to start a series of sites that were region specific and etc etc (won't bore anyone here). Free sites can be difficult to accomplish, requiring time and resources, after all even POF had only one member at some point in time.
