| What are the truly free sites? Posted: 3/23/2005 1:54:20 PM | I'm having trouble registering with match doctor, I keep being asked for a different user name and my imagination is exhausted. I'm trying Opera out as a browser and wonder if that is causing the problem. Chris | |

| What are the truly free sites? Posted: 3/25/2005 6:46:18 AM | | I've had the same problem with Book Of Matches. Are the people that designed that site morons? I filled out all the details...choosing a username, password, spent a lot of time composing the information, and then when I get to the END of it, it says there's a problem with your username or something and when I go back to correct it - all the freakin' information I entered is now GONE. After doing that 3 times I gave up. What idiots. Why wouldn't they check your username for problems or whatever BEFORE you go to all the trouble of composing the information? | |

| What are the truly free sites? Posted: 3/27/2005 1:04:01 PM | Okay, I've read the whole thread and had to write down every site that was mentioned except for the ones that were obviously crap and made a list for everyone.

| What are the truly free sites? Posted: 4/2/2005 5:12:38 PM | | I found Plentyoffish.com doing a search from Alta Vista 2 days ago, Google only has the expensive pay sites, Google is also a web search engine that advertisers pay to place the links at. | |

| What are the truly free sites? Posted: 4/9/2005 6:53:34 PM | | With regards to the idea of advertising, I'll make this comment and 3 notes of caution! After reading Sami's idea about advertising, I thought it might be possible for those of us using this site to help on the advertising, I know in Yahoo Mail you can add a "Signature" to all your outgoing emails, we could possibly use that signature (the signature by the way, is just a comment the sender attaches to the bottom of the outgoing email, it is changeable but unless changed in the options screen, remains the same for 1 or 1000 emails sent. It can be given colorful text, highlights, and/or emoticons. You can turn it on/off for individual emails with a simple click in the check box just prior to hitting the lower left corne "SEND" button). Now the 3 cautions I spoke of include one that ADMIN here at "Plenty of Fish" can answer, would there be any problem asking email recipients to check out Plenty-Of-Fish in this fashion? #2 is be sure you don't accidentally send a promo to possibly your boss or a company you're using your email to apply for a new job, and other special recipients who might not appreciate what you're trying to do, and #3) it might be contrary to Yahoo Policy (gotta check out those old "Terms & Agreements" files nobody reads) and they might kick us off their email service.....just a couple of thoughts I thought were appropriate after voicing the big idea! | |

| What are the truly free sites? Posted: 4/10/2005 4:24:48 PM | promote it any way you want...
Having a signiture on a free email system isn't against thier TOS, heck they even add links to thier own stuff at the bottom of all your emails | |

| What are the truly free sites? Posted: 4/11/2005 8:02:30 PM | | Unless the site is ranked 0 to 10,000 in alexa it is not allowed to be posted here. This isn't a place for spammers to post spam sites... | |

| What are the truly free sites? Posted: 4/23/2006 5:15:36 PM | | Book of Matches is the worst site ever. Matchdoctor has the same 35 or 40 women on there year after year. They are like professional daters. Most write back once or twice, then vanish. I am going to tell you guys something. It is the Gods truth. None of this is exagerated.I have met a couple dozen women from dating sites, but the vast majority of women I have met, came from blind e-mails. Yep, no joke. I simply did a profile scan of women in my general area, wrote a brief and polite greeting and enclose a pic, asking if they would have any interest in chatting. You would be stunned to know how many times this gets responses. I wrote to both AOL and Yahoo profiles. Yahoo women respond more than any others for some reason. I estimate about a 25% return. most ignore you, but 1/4 or so do write back. Just keep the conversation clean, and you will win them over. I have met over 80 women in 5 years, and have been intimate with 58 different women. Some of them many times over as booties. There were times when i had 7 women i could have seen at a given time. They want a nice guy. Dont talk dirty to them. "Romance" will come naturally. About 50% are intimate on the 1st date and 50% on the second date. If you are frustrated, try this. Do not lie to them, do not tell them you are 6' tall if you are 5'5, etc. Dont ask them their chest size or stuff like that. Dont make them feel cheap. Just be Nice and i promise you, good things will happen. Look at it this way..what have you got to lose? There were many times when i just shook my head in disbelief that a woman i sent an email to a week ago, was naked in my bed. I am serious, try this, it works. | |
