Posted: 10/30/2005 4:08:43 PM | I am not single. I am married and have two children. I am not looking to "hook up", just have intelligent conversation. My wife is in a nursing home. Over the last two years she has declined with MS. She has also been diagnosed with Alzheimer's type dementia. She is a wonderful lady. I am raising our two children and they keep me very busy.
In short, I am not single but I am. What is keeping me single, well, I love my wife very much and wouldn't think of looking elsewhere.
But with work and the kids activities, it doesn't leave much time for socialization. So here I am. Thanks for your ear..... | |

For myself, my reason's aren't nearly that complicated... I'm just scared enough of being hurt yet again, that I've gotten super-cautious putting myself out there. I know that it's time I got over it... But it does things to your self-image when someone you've agreed to meet, in public, both of you with friends, walks towards your table, looks you over once on the way there, and suddenly does a complete about-face, says something to his friend, and walks out. I'd rather he came over and said "I'm sorry you're not what I was expecting" than that! :P
There's my rant for the day... and I'm tired of having stuff like that happen, and I'd like to meet someone who'll take me as I am, but I'm scared to be hurt. | |

in love, I am your best investment on your heart.. I'm a keeper, a good catch and all that jazz and until i meet the right one, ya don't friggin deserve me... Good for you Dancer and that is the way it should be...if you know in your heart you are a great catch then save it for the right person that you know will give you that 120+% back! | |
