If it's not much, it's not important because they're close in age. However, if it's 15 years...the other question is how good does the woman look for her age as well?
If she's much older and looks really old, then the guy might be in it for money or to be taken care of...also, maybe she just wants company, a partner to go places with.
However, I personally wouldn't date someone younger than me, I like prehistoric men.  | |

I've been in a relationship with someone 10 years older than me, but I'm not sure I'd go as high as 20 years - I guess it depends on who that person was, I wouldn't rule out the idea entirely... | |

I'm flattered by any attention I get, and some of those women were very attractive (if not in my age group). None of them contacted me, so I assume they either mistook me for an older man, or were just having a quick perv at my pics! | |

Especially in their 40's, and probably 50's too, but admittedly only if they are, or get really fit. (Yes I am a bit shallow I guess)

Posted: 9/8/2012 4:47:44 PM | Nah... not for me... I dated a younger guy once... It was fun, he was lovely like 6'4", always in the gym...(Weird) But a man nonetheless. responsible, very funny and age wasn't an issue because he didn't make it an issue.
I am a sucker for caveman-like behaviour so when he scooped me up and threw me over his shoulder and said "let's go!" as he was jogging down the street, I couldn't stop laughing... My daughter was like "put my mum down!"
He was a funny, irreverent person, that's the youth thing... Like a breath of fresh air...
Problems were: he didn't /couldn't really fit in with my friends...
(His friends although nice enough, seemed not as smart as him)
I never dated a guy who wore white brand new trainers, Ralph Lauren Polo shirts...
Musical tastes waaay too different. Intolerant of other males
Oh yeah, very different sense of humour... some things one simply cannot joke about with a younger man... | |

but i am put off by it going further than fun mainly cos i have alot more repomsibilities in life than a 21 yr old and i dont wanna weigh them down as they still have life to live.. but if both parties r happy why cant everyone else be!!

i guess at the end of the day it's about gelling with someone on a physical and intellectual level and not really caring how old they/you are....as long as you get on that's all that matters.

i agree totally with what you're saying.....an older guy with a younger girl seem acceptable but vice versa is seen as wrong....i don't see what difference it makes if both parties are happy with each other, no matter which one is older.

Plus being successful is something women generally look for in the other sex more often than vice versa and an older man is more likely to have achieved than their younger self. Whether its right or wrong who is really to say but those are my thoughts on why people are more accepting of the male being older. | |
