In my experience, I get along with younger (30 -40!!! ) men at live music events and activities...but I have more to talk about to somebody my own age (45) or slightly older...esp pub quizzes lol!!! 1980's being 'MY ' era lol

It seems older ladies are turning more to younger men now as guys their age seem to be quite content to just stay at home wearing their slippers and smoking a pipe.......

Posted: 2/4/2008 2:07:02 PM | Ok...for those who state that age is just a number....YES, correct but some numbers are odd.....I know a man of 64 who is dating a girl of 20, they have just had a baby together,,,,so a gap of 44years doesnt have me clapping woopie doo how lovely...its rather sad.
A few years here and there is no problem, personally i have never dated anyone my own age or younger, always older.....i just like the mature man. However since i became 40, the mature man is around 55 and thats too old for me...LOL.(never happy)....so for the first time in a long time i am shortening the gap.........Where are all the 45 years old men...........???????????????????.

I married a guy 7 years older than me and he grew up before I did but had 16 years with him so it couldn't have been all bad. I then had a relationship with a tw@t the same age as me & I grew up before him I think for me it would have to be five years either way..
My son is 18 so personally I wouldn't go really young but now I am nigh on 40 I like the look of boys(but wouldn't go there) I do quite often find me sen having "young maaaaaaaayyyyyn" moments though!! Mid life crisis me thinks..

| Older Women And Younger Men Dating.... What Do You Think? Posted: 2/4/2008 3:06:28 PM | hmmmmmmm generally i think it's no ones business but theirs.
i know a few couples actually with an older female component. in fact two of my best friends married each other about 3 years ago she is 60 this year and he is 35 this year. her sons are about 30 too and she worried about telling them etc but they get on with him like a house on fire though i think they had one or two disgruntled family members, she is now a grandmother and yes we took the micky out of him and give him worthers originals etc but he laughs at himself too.
and no neither of them is a weirdo both of them are successful, educated, talented and good looking they just 'click' together though she struggled with it and still struggles a bit going out with what she thinks are 'his' friends simply because we are similar in age, though in truth we have all been mates for years.
whatever works | |

| Older Women And Younger Men Dating.... What Do You Think? Posted: 2/5/2008 12:02:40 PM | I think it's a brilliant idea and so long as they are over 18 and they are fun to be with, go for it.
The youngest guy I've "dated" this year was 23 years old and he didn't seem to mind, so why should I. I've never dated anyone older than myself and hopefully that will continue.

| Older Women And Younger Men Dating.... What Do You Think? Posted: 2/6/2008 12:39:28 PM | | I wouldn't mind dating a man my age if men actually bothered to grow up! But if they're gonna insist on playing Peter Pan, I may as well have one with a flat tummy, pert little bum and insatiable sex drive lol | |

| Older Women And Younger Men Dating.... What Do You Think? Posted: 2/6/2008 2:06:34 PM | On this subject.. I've seen the profiles of women in their thirties who specify the ages of men starting from the early 20s eg 23-35
Men of that age are by and large pretty immature ( I know I was. Some would say I still am ; ) ) and says a lot about the emotional make-up of the woman concerned. Puts me off and dats fo sho.

| Older Women And Younger Men Dating.... What Do You Think? Posted: 2/6/2008 6:14:17 PM | Younger men try to date older women for one reason, they believe that the older woman will put out' easier than her younger counterpart, the old adage springs to mind, 'the older they are, the easier they are to pick up'.
Age is just a number, this is a simplistic response generally given by younger people or by those, both men and women, who wish to date their younger counterparts. Yet when a 16 year old, boy or girl starts dating a 50 year old woman or man, those very same people who claim 'age is just a number' are amongst the first to start the condemnation.
For what ever reason society as a whole tends to frown more harshly on women who date younger men than is does in the situation of older men dating younger women. The irony of it is that it's mostly the females in society that are the most vocal in their disdain of these women.

| Older Women And Younger Men Dating.... What Do You Think? Posted: 2/7/2008 12:05:46 PM | Older women do like younger guys, i like older women also!
I've only ever dated older women actually, i'm 21 and all my girl friends have been between 25 - 40, there was on woman who was 48 but it didn't last long unfort ;)
Anyway what i'm trying to say is if you like older women, go for it, age is just a number at the end of the day!
Good luck! | |

Just because a man is younger doesn't mean he is less mature than a man of my own age, all it means is that they are at different stages of their lives. You say you are immature and I have to admit that my experience of men my own age and almost ten years younger tells me that men seem to revert to boys once they turn thirty. Give me a much younger man any day.

| Older Women And Younger Men Dating.... What Do You Think? Posted: 2/7/2008 3:41:36 PM | I was watching GMTV this morning and there was a woman on there who is over 60 and her husband who was 29 .. thats some age difference and I wouldnt personally have thought it would work but apparently they have been married for 11 years and they still looked and sounded blissfully happy. As someone already said, age is just a number so if fancy each other, why on earth not? | |
