Posted: 7/29/2006 8:06:19 PM | well I have meet one person from here and it just didnt work out. I have made a lot of online friends though and thats way cool to me. I lookforward to the emails I receive from them and hearing of their off line lives. I also am working on meeting one of my online friends as the pass through my city moving from one part of Florida to another part of Florida. I think its the online friendship that makes me stay on this site.

Posted: 7/29/2006 9:36:52 PM | Well I have been very lucky! I just recently met this wonderful guy that is a sweetheart. He is so down to earth and acts like a kid at heart. Him acting like a kid at heart is the big draw for me to him. He is always smiling and makes me laugh. He is the type of guy that is honest, trusting and so much fun to be with. I really think alot of him and would like to have some kind of relationship come out of this, I would be on cloud 9 then! I feel grateful for having met him! He is a very special person that has come into my life and I will never forget him if things don't work out. Hey he has gotten me to wear ball caps now! I hope we can always be friends because he means so much.
Question: Do you think it is possible in liking someone alot on the first time you meet them? This is how I feel about this guy!
I have also met some other guys from here and gone out with them. They have been very nice and I am still friends with them. I have talked with some guys on here also that were nice and we still talk about how are  is going. Its fun to listen to other people's stories about how their date went and what they thought of it.
 BUT OF COURSE I HAVE HAD MY NUMBER OF ONES NOT SO NICE, BUT THAT IS LIFE! BETTER TO KNOW NOW THEN MEET THEM!  | |

Sometimes the sites don't delete the profiles in a timely fashion. I have a GF who met a nice gentleman on one of these sites. She has tried to get her profile deleted from this site without succcess. She actually thought it was a done deal and he checked the site out and found out she was still posted and was very upset. I say give people the benefit of the doubt.

Anyway, once you know what you want then you can proceed, and find what you're in seach of is what I believe. Undoubetedly, it is difficult for people to forget about her or his ex-girlfriend. In my case. it is a soon-to-be ex-wife. Myself and others included start dating to forget about the painful experiences of the last relationship. Of course, forgeting painful experiences is only one in a list of many reasons people date soon after a break-up. People seek out relationships right after old relationships because he or she may be lonely, he or she wants to feel lovable, worthwhile, or even sexy. So, before we assimilate the common line of thinking that people should stay away from those people who are on the rebound, people really should understand why these people are looking for another person.
For those of us on the rebound, rebound relationships can be the perfect remedy for a heartbreak, as long as you are aware of their purpose and take your time to allow them to develop. Use your judgement and do not rush in to quickly or get swept away by a misplaced sense of relief and gratitude. Make sure that you see the person as they really are and not as you wish them to be. you will find alot of not rights before you get the one that is great for you!!

I am glad I did even though I went through a few discouraging times. I actually met friends that are keepers and still see them and have fun with.A bonus to this is that they introduce you to thier friends as well. My having come from another state and having to start all over , this makes it easier to make new friends.  | |

Posted: 8/9/2006 12:35:49 PM | This is my 2nd time around on this site - only recently met some nice people online and have been talking back and forth....have gotten some really weird messages too...not sure if they are just plain weird or just messing with me....so I'll see what happens. I do send notes out sometimes just to say "hi" or make a comment about their profile - most read and delete - a couple have actually answered - which I thank them very much for doing so. I try and answer any messages that are sent my way - just to be polite and courteous - but I do not encourage anyone that is acting strange. Meeting people online is dangerous as you just don't know if they are who they say they are....so I try and be careful.
