| Have any of you fellow Floridians met anyone here?
Posted: 8/9/2006 6:52:00 PM | | I don't get messaged often either....maybe three times a week or so...and usually by someone not fitting what I desire...or am looking for...been told by a few they'd have sex with me...or they hinted that's what they were after...so...no go...and yesterday some guy was bugging me to go out with him, without even getting to know me here or on phone first...last night he was just so interested...just acted like i was the greatest thing since sliced bread, but i refused to meet him til i got to know him better, and of course POOF...he's gone... | |

Posted: 8/10/2006 8:23:50 AM | Meeting a potential friend soon.....too unique of a person to pass up getting to know (+ I think she'd be PERFECT for my best buddy).
One of the reasons (IMHO) that it's rare to get contacted by a very close match who actually reads & understands plain English is that the sincere, honest, considerate people on here are probably not going to initiate anything unless they fulfill EVERYTHING that your profile states you desire. If the potentially 'perfect' woman for me states she'll only consider men 6'3" and above, I'm not going contact her & ask her to make a 1" allowance just for me. I may keep her profile in my 'favorites', as folks tend to change their profiles over time & she may decide to lower in her estimation of priorities the one thing that kept me from contact. Hope springs eternal....
The more genuinely respectful the person of either gender is, the more consideration they will put into making sure they are ACTUALLY in line w/ what you are looking for. | |

I have had a couple great dates( Jeff), and have new friends because of it!!! I am going out in a couple weeks, with a great guy that I have been chattn' with on here and I am really looking forward to it... I have great feelings about this one... we will just have to see!!!
The distance thing seems to be the problem... I meet wonderful people but they are so far away !!!
Be careful, there are also some weird ones out there... had one bad exsperince on this site, hope to never run into him again... The date from Hell!!!

For me the list is just local potentials. It just means preliminary interest. I don't necessarily expect any of them to contact me, and I will only contact one at a time. If we connect, I will not contact anyone else until I see where it is going.
