God is warning the US and many nations in the worldd simply cuz US took God's people away from their home. That is God's country.
And he is not happy with any nation Look at how the world came to know these warnings very quickly!
Now go back to prophecy and see where it says in scripture that the evil two will be seen dead on he streets of Jerusalem at one time to the entire world.
My dad could not figure this out till now the way TV has moved in this infromation age.
Just another thought based on how God shows the warning signs to everyone of the world.

Posted: 12/16/2005 4:04:18 PM | Why yes, they did give offerings to Demitri. Mostly food and such. When they got a good crop it was rationalized that they did good. When they got a bad crop it was rationalized that they didn't give enough offerings.
And what do you mean "US took god's people away from their homes?" Isn't the whole universe technically God's country? So we can't actually move anyone from god's country? Also why is God punishing the citizens of the US when the citizens aren't the ones making the decisions? Why not have bush get struck by lightning? Would be much faster I say.
Also the "evil two" could be seen as the USSR and US in the cold war. As you can see, we both didn't die. | |

God is the choice of each individual and I respect that choice, but to blame misfortune on some higher power seems foolish. After all, the storm simply exists as does you. If the storm made your life miserable then it sucks, but it doesn't mean you were evil or it's a punishment.
Also in reference to the southern comment: I'm not talking about # of churches, but traditionally the southern states have been more defensive on their beliefs.

If God is neither male or female as you say yourself...how the hell does calling God by Him...or father....show respect...that makes no sense, because it implies gender...
In ancient times until more recent Women were and in some places considered second class. with this Men referred to God in the Masculine why is this you ask? I don't know I just know it is how it is done and has for 1000's of years. My assumption is because masculine was seen as strength and to call God a He was a sign of respect. Or simply because there was a lack of a better term. | |

The Bible says all over the Mount of Olives is where God will reign, Isreal is God'sland. Thoseof Isreal the 144 000 are the ones to ascend to heaven first.
So the people of Israel are God'speople and God will protect them.

Your correct saying this the entire niverse is His but there are a few that respect Him. If It is not of God's will and a force of Man.s Hand then well look out going against God's will can hurt.
Because the US lead those people of Isreal out of their homes. I am sure that the Pesident and evryone who watched the Katrina Rita events where shaking in their boots because of the Financal state the nation is in the oil refineries would have created a Broke US. They should notice how God did not let this happen.
Lighting up bush, easy simple, yes but God does not wish him to perish for he has to follow the instructions of those above him also.
I am not going to go further into that.

Men, generally, ran the show with most civilizations so to give God a masculine term would only be natural to a male dominated world.

God made man in his image. God made a woman from a rib of a man. Gods image is of the masculine form....not the feminine. | |

Good point....I personally see the bible as being highly sexist and have posted many verses showing sexism in other threads.....I am just saying that God can be viewed as the cause, if one is to believe. If not, then yes, it is man who caused sexism. | |

That status of history is very clear - not only in Scripture but in the social mores that governed most societies in the world. By modern value systems and worldly human viewpoint that is called sexist. God ordained the order in society not man and He is the author of the establishment principles of authority. However, like everything else, the fall man has corrupted this order and that has resulted in the inequality of the standing of men and women through out history.
The Bible is not sexist. Because it accurately portrays the results of sin. The Bible records all kinds of sin; slavery and bondage and the failures of its greatest heroes yet it also gives us the answer and the cure for those sins against God and His established order.
The charge of the sexism of the Bible is based upon a lack of knowledge of Scripture. When men and women of all ages have taken their God ordained places and lived according to "Thus says the LORD" then there is a wonderful balance between the genders and that balance is what God began with and it is what He will end with. There is an inordinate amount of attention paid to the various products of sin and not to the root of it. It is only when there is personal reconciliation with God through the LORD Jesus Christ that we find true equality. "You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free" (John 8:32).

God gave laws regarding slavery, polygamy, divorce,etc....they were not sins, only acts that required guide lines.
When men and women of all ages have taken their God ordained places and lived according to "Thus says the LORD" then there is a wonderful balance between the genders and that balance is what God began with and it is what He will end with. This is the sexism....men and women have divided roles, they are not equal in what they can do according to the bible. Men can speak in church and ask questions, women cannot. This is sexist because these roles cannot overlap according to scripture. | |
