I simply stated that as a man that has faith in the writings of the bible i take heed of the warnings therein . These are God's words not my own . I would rather see the world take the teachings of Jesus more seriously and apply them to their own personal lives and make changes for the better . But as this is not the case with a lot of citizens on this beautiful planet God has no choice to do what he has too to ensure that the 'meek inherit the earth' ...........Maybe the real problem is that we as God's creation have a hard time digesting the fact that God has the right to do whatever He has too for the good of all mankind , even if this means eliminating wickedness and the individuals that follow in those paths . He is not going punish those who are innocent and have good morals . But wickedness has to go and the scriptures indicate that this is a certainty. Again i add this is only if you have faith or believe in the writings of the bible . Let me ask you this question ...if it was in your power to rid this earth of all suffering and evil .... would you ? | |

Common lady, are you serious.. the men of God? who the fuk are those people. Other diabolical human beings that probebly do anything to save there own skin over someone else's. That's not selfless at all... What exaclty makes them Men of God. Were they hand picked individuals or where they're names drawn from a hat?
Pardon my bashing of religon. Sometimes i envy the fact that people can believe sooo much in one thing and that there willing to put there lives on the line for it. That's sometime to be envious about. What i don't understand is how you could honestly believe every thing you hear, as long as it comes out a priests mouth or you read it outta that darn book. Let's not forget that priests people too, and people are ruthless inidividuals. Lady, you think God is gonna save countless iraqies, you think God is gonna save thousands of people from a massive reconstructive earthquake, just becuase they believe and worship scriputres that were written and passed down from man to man, human to human for the last 5000 years. Good GRavy lady.. your gonna be seriously dissapointed. You wanna see what's going on around you, get your head outta the damn bible and look around. You don't need a book written some 5000 years ago to figure out who you are or where you think you belong. That's what the hell life is...is figuring out questions for yourself. It's understanding one more thing about your body, and your mind and most important, your soul. If there's something out there worth dieing for... that's worth dieing for. Not some hyped up superstar that's been around for 5000 years. | |

#1 We freely worship God each in his or her own way without goverment interfearing in our practice and as long as we dont turn our backs on him he will not turn his back on us.
#2 We protect Israel without us the Arab nations would have destroyed her years ago and if we turn our backs on that he will turn his back on us.
God has blessed this nation and its people for many reasons not just the ones I mentioned earlier. For instance we feed the earth, we send tons of food and medical aid all over the world. We even feed our own hungry not to many countries can say that we also defend those who cannot defend themselfs. For these reasons I am also proud to say I am an Amercian | |

Scriptures such as Daniel 2:44 ,Rev 11:18 ,1 Thessalonians 5:1-3 ... attest to God's impending judgement on world powers . Christians were admonished to do pay their dues to the governments of their day . (Mark 12:14-17) as long as if this didn't interfere with their christian beliefs. Worship to God came first . There was no sitting on the fence . If any thing , take the time to read what was written in 2 Timothy 3:1-5 . It describes the mind-set of people in what is described as " the last days". Lovers of themselves, lovers of money, haughty, disobedient to parents, unthankful , having no natural affection, not open to any agreement ...having a 'form' of godly devotion but proving false to its power ...etc . Sound familiar ? The Good Book also states that 'the "whole world" is lying in the power of the wicked one ' 1 John 5:19 . Not a few countries, but the whole enchilada . Are we as His creation ,that proud and arrogant to think that we have the solutions to the current state of affairs that is so evident throughout this entire globe . And lets not forget that the majority of this worlds problems have really come to the surface in just the last 100 years or so . Think back . At the turn of this century it was still pretty much horse and buggy and the printing press . Things have advanced at such an alarming rate that we're constantly bombarded with 'pleasures' that put our worship to God in the back seat or make us feel that He is not a living Deity . The scriptures warn of 'complacency'. We are told to be alert . I mentioned earlier the verse from 1 Thess 5:1-3 ... well if you look at verse 6 also it tells us to 'stay awake and keep our senses' . | |

Posted: 11/7/2005 12:18:33 PM | It is amazing how little religious people know about the Bible. And the Bible is supposed to be the source of Christianity. The Bible is Jesus Christ in print.
People are called Christians because they supposedly follow Christ. Christ said that we are to live by every word of God (Matthew 4:4). That includes the Old Testament and New Testament.
The problem is, most Christians today talk a lot about Christ, but they reject His message.
The Bible is also a book about Israel. We often talk about the lost tribes of Israel. Why were they lost? Because God punished them for their evil ways. Not only were they conquered, but they were removed from their own land! Then they lost their own identity and thought of themselves as Gentiles.
Today Israel is comprised of several nations. Bible prophecy tells us that the most powerful nations of Israel will be in captivity when Christ returns—again, because of their sins. And again, they will be removed from their own nations.
Jesus Christ will destroy the remaining world powers when He returns!
The truth is, most people are biblical illiterates—that includes Christians.
God’s Word contains over 100 prophecies warning us about Israel being destroyed in this end time. Let me give you one from an end-time book (Daniel 12:4, 9). “As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the Lord our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth. Therefore hath the Lord watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for the Lord our God is righteous in all his works which he doeth: for we obeyed not his voice” (Daniel 9:13-14). These verses clearly tell us that God is bringing disasters upon us—like the hurricanes—to get us to change our evil ways. The Bible is filled with such prophecies.
The Bible says we are more evil than the nations around us. God is not about to remain silent! Study the Bible and learn about your Creator.
God also tells us in these two verses that the law of Moses (the first five books of the Bible) also prophesy about these curses coming upon us in the end time. In those prophecies, God sets before us a choice: good or evil—blessings or curses. Then He tells us to choose life and blessings. God even lists the blessings and the curses that will come upon us—depending on our choice.
Those people who say God wouldn’t send those hurricanes to punish us need to be asked a question. Since God obviously has the power to stop the hurricanes, why didn’t He do so?
If we are a righteous people, God promises to protect us. He isn’t doing that. Why? Because we lead the world in evil—in every major pathology!
I see God’s mercy in hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma. The heart of America’s oil production was only slightly damaged in these hurricanes. What if the oil rigs and many refineries had been virtually destroyed as some authorities expected to happen? Then America’s economy would have been seriously crippled and might never have recovered! It would have caused a serious oil crisis in the U.S., and we all know how bad the oil crunch is even now.
America (and the world) is only one deadly hurricane away (not to mention a terrorist attack or a war in the Middle East) from an energy crisis.
In these hurricanes, God extended mercy, giving us a chance to change our evil ways.
When will hurricane-type suffering stop? When we heed God’s warning. If we don’t heed, Bible prophecy clearly outlines what our end will be.
But even if we don’t repent, a new and wonderful world is about to be ushered in.

Thank you for your kind words. People are unknowingly wrapping their minds in the chains of slavery, they are voluntarily putting blinders on and instead of searching for truth, are allowing themselves to simply rely on other peoples opinions! They know not what they do!
Keep on fighting the good fight Zen, and perhaps between the Pagans and our other like minded friends, "we few, we happy few!", we can get some people out there to actually TAKE A LOOK at what they are espousing, and calling truth! It's a sorry excuse for it, and humans deserve better!

Do you mean a obvious message like Sending his son to die for you, or parting the red sea, or healing the sick and crippled, or maybe raising the Dead? Something like that maybe/ Or how about A book recording such events so that they can be passed on for generations? Would that suffice?

First of all the bible says lucifer is the prince and the power of the air he controls the storms.
No God does not send storms to punish.We are in the age of grace that promise was given to us with Christ' death and resurection.God seldom interfears unless it has to do with his plan however his plan was fulfilled with Christ so he will not intervine until his return. At least not on such a grand scale as a hurricane | |

The eagle was also a symbol on a strong Roman army.
The Federal Reserve policies implemented in the last couple of decades have only enlarged the economic Armageddon facing an unrepentant nation.

Apparently you do not remember when God sent a message to Danial via Gabriel and it took Gabriel a while to get there he said it was because he had to fight the prince of the power of the air. If we go by your assumption the he had to fight Jesus to get a message from God.
Personally that would not make sence. Now Christ does control everything is true everything but your own freewill. but as I said earlier we are in the age of grace. and he will not intervine with such destruction. Remember It is not his will that any should perish but that all have everlasting life. I know you are going to say that meant spiritual life.
