Posted: 3/5/2008 7:11:20 AM | How can a person have the nerve to arrange a meeting with a person that has used fake photo's of themselves to fool them into meeting up. Then when the meeting takes place they look nothing like their photo's at all. Some people are just so hard faced to do that!
On the topic of photo's though. It's quite funny really how you can see a picture of a person and think they look cute, then you can see they have more images uploaded that you view also. And they suddenly don't look cute at all in the others .
Photo's are funny things, I think people tend to take multiple photo's of themselves and only upload the one's that do them the best justice. Which they look the best on! I've took photo's off myself that I've thought "Oh my god" and not uploaded them for use. Then I've seen others I've took that I think you look good on that one.
What I'm trying to say is this, even if a person does use a real recent photo of themselves, sometimes they can still look a lot worse when you meet them. | |

& no, it wasn't Michael Jackson in drag..

I asked her about it after the meeting and she gave me heck for being shallow and not wanting to go out with someone who wasn't skinny..

and yes that DOES work because i know a guy who did that and his favourites list went up in one afternoon by the same amount that he got in a year plus he got loads of mail from women of all ages wanting to bed him..............yes it is true.
i was absolutely shocked at why women did that , very shocked indeed. | |

He was lied to, shallowness has nothing to do with it.
Anyway to what I was originally going to say. Ive been doing it off an on for many years now ( online search ). Ive been bent over and royally screwed by not 1, not 2, not 3 but 4 women over the course of 6 years. The last 3 werent as bad as the 1st, all basically sent fake photos ( must of found someone on myspace who kept updating theirs cause they always sent new ones ) and all lied about their ages. The first one was the kick in the pants though. She was from Australia and kept me going for 2.5 years till the truth came out.
So now I just have a simple rule and if they dont like it, I dont bother with them anymore. I see myself as an average looking guy, nothing special, so when a female wants to talk to me that I feel is above me, I simply ask for a sign photo ( a photo of them holding a piece of paper saying Hi Chris ). If they dont do it or or get shitty over it, then chances are they are fake and I didnt waste my time this go around. If they are real and take offense to it, then it was my loss, but chances are we wouldnt get along if she was offended by it.
If you ask me they should instate a simple rule for all dating sites, and have one sign photo of yourself with your user name. It would be so much less hassle and wasted time. | |

I think it has to deal with self esteem issues or low self esteem. The one from Australia who I met when I was 30, turned out to be 48, 2 kids and married, who was just unhappy with her life and needed something to make her feel better. She said I just seemed like a wonderful man who could do her life some good. WTF!!!!!
So far from what I am finding out and learning, yes they are. Ive only met 1 female who was honest and who upheld everything she claimed she was, cept I met her thru a import car discussion forum, not a dating forum. | |

People can believe what they want, but my pictures are real and recent. I have met some POF and justify that its really me on those pictures. I dont know why people show fake pictures.

I don't put fake pic but mine is blurry becuz I am not trusting POF yet. My old pics were reported as no good showing me in a nice background so had to put up new ones!!
2nd time, I put a close-up showing my bangs, eyes, nose, mouth, that was removed as well!! The system went bizerk on me?? | |

I am attracted to many looks, so it is not that, but when you lie about yourself on here, that is the end for me, no excuses or reasons, matter to me.

Posted: 3/18/2008 12:03:38 PM | As far as those photoshopped pics they are very easy to spot, as a matter of fact you can now by a program that will let you know if the pics have been altered, taken from a magazine or web site. Web cams don't lie it really is that easy, no cam no date, ta ta. | |

Thing is, lots of people with a bad photo actually are the lookers in real life, and those with a good photo very often just had a lucky one!
