| Fake Pictures Posted: 6/4/2008 12:07:16 PM | | For me it was a lady that did not have a full-body picture of herself. She is gorgeous, although when I met her in person there was disappointment. I was expecting the athletic looking gal in the picture. | |

| Fake Pictures Posted: 6/5/2008 3:26:46 PM | | There is a guy who posts on these forums with a pic I saw in GQ for a cologne. It cracked me up when I saw it. It is/was such an obvious fake model pic. You know of the "staged" casual guy looking sexy into the camera. | |

| Fake Pictures Posted: 6/6/2008 10:33:20 AM | Ya know, sometimes it's worse posting cheesy shirtless pics of ripped bods, twhen in fact the person is usually dumner than dirt. Or have weird, piercings and stupid knuckle tats.
Just goes to show ya, bods don't make ya smart or the least bit desirable sometimes.

| Fake Pictures Posted: 6/6/2008 10:41:08 AM | ^^^^^^ Ok Sunny I apologize for emailing those shirtless pics of me | |

| Fake Pictures Posted: 6/6/2008 11:15:50 AM | "i still bet there were many more women " falling " for " him " than iff he were using his real pictures"
Compact Disk, you got that right. He is on over 300 favorites lists. He says he is a CEO, but he is on the forums all day and night! I don't know any CEOs with that amount of time. Oddly enough, he has not posted to this forum. I wonder why ?

| Fake Pictures Posted: 7/20/2008 8:43:23 AM | This recently happened to me. I met this guy on here and he was really handsome and had really good conversation. I was in NYC for the weekend to see Wicked so he was supposed to meet me outside the theater. So I'm just sitting there looking for a 6'6", tall, handsome black guy. Mind you there were only like three black people outside the entire theater, I saw this one guy but he was scrawny, nothing like this 6'6" stud I'd seen pics of. So I'm calling and texting like "where are you?" He never called back or answered the phone. My play was starting so I went inside and he texts me saying he left because I looked dead at him and went inside!!!
So I'm all upset because I would never do that and I'm thinking how could I possibly miss this guy? Well I said I wanted to meet him again and to accept my apologies, so we talked a few more times and had really good conversation and I really wanted to meet this guy but whenever I tried to meet up, he started acting weird. It finally all made sense that the scrawny guy that I had seen was indeed him and he lied about his pics. He says he didn't lie but I know he did.

| Fake Pictures Posted: 7/20/2008 9:17:36 AM | | What is a "hunk" for you? Are you going only for pictures on here? How can you fall for a picture? Regardless of fake pictures or not, you already sound fake yourself! :) | |

| Fake Pictures Posted: 7/20/2008 9:18:55 AM | Speaking from experience, i have had someone steal my pics and make up a profile using my pics, it is some form of identity fraud. Its not nice and who do we and can we trust nowadays. The only true way of knowing if somone is real is by meeting face to face or cam to b honest. There are so many good liers and fakers out there, i have had a fair few experiences with a few. so i guess im becoming a fake spotting pro now.... lol who knows why they do it just seems bloody wierd to me. But ts the world we live in i guess and its all so easy to do on the internet. | |

| Fake Pictures Posted: 7/20/2008 9:30:41 AM | There's a woman on this site using a three (or so) year old picture of her sister who's not only six years younger but also about 60 pounds lighter. So the woman in the pic is almost ten years younger than she is - and apparently she bathes in those "you're looking great at your age" comments her profile draws (those comments seem to come to an abrupt end when she meets the men her profile attracts in person...).
The reason she gives for using an old picture of her slimmer, younger sis is something along the lines of: "That's what I want to look like". Uh-huh. Right. Needless to say her profile's "interests" section lists a number of sports activities none of which she's ever tried - that's the stuff she wants to take up if she ever dropped the extra weight (and possibly the extra years)... When I first heard that I almost fell off my chair, laughing.
But it gets even better: Being told by a date that (for obvious reasons) he wasn't interested in a second date, she loudly barked at him (in a restaurant for everybody present to hear) what a superficial jerk he was for only judging her by her looks. Yeah, right. The idea that noone likes to date a fat (pun intended ) liar and/or a player apparently didn't occur to her.

| Fake Pictures Posted: 7/20/2008 10:52:29 AM | | Umm i come across people with fake picture all the time like when they only have one picture up i tend to ask do you have others, and most of the time they say no not on this computer i am at work; funny thing is they are alway at work when i bring is up again so i can only come to the conclusion that they are using a fake picture. | |

| Fake Pictures Posted: 7/20/2008 10:57:44 AM | I am totally swooned by women and men with fake pictures!!!! - NOT!!!
It just makes you look like an asshat in the long run if you DO have a fake profile picture up and then come clean when you guys meet for the first time OR revel to the person your TRUE pictures after a few email exchanges. Sheer asshattery if you ask me.......

| Fake Pictures Posted: 7/20/2008 12:25:41 PM | All my pictures are fake. I'm really a 5'6" tall, 230lbs, bald, 55 years old unemployed man who lives with his 80 years old mom. Any takers? | |

| Fake Pictures Posted: 7/20/2008 1:00:59 PM | You know of the "staged" casual guy looking sexy into the camera.
HA! I love these. Honestly, do most people have pictures like this around the house?
But the people who use pictures of other "real" people are the worst. I met this guy from here and if it wasn't for the fact that he was the only person in the place, I never would have known he was the guy I was supposed to meet. And no, I didn't think I was meeting Brad Pitt circa Legends of the Fall but he could have least picked a fake picture with the same color hair as he had!

| Fake Pictures Posted: 7/20/2008 3:28:05 PM | | you said it sister......us dorks love women, we adore you, we are romantic, appreciative, unselfish and caring. Going for the hot guy never gets you what you need, only what you thought you wanted. Sometimes the best gifts come wrapped in newspaper instead of ribbons and bow. | |

| Fake Pictures Posted: 7/20/2008 4:12:07 PM | I think for the most part, the culprit is lack of self confidence. Maybe they feel like they have a winning personality, but their looks don't match. Perhaps they think that if they can rope you in with their personality that you'll be able to except a little white lie about what they look like (because looks don't matter, right?). Obviously, they ignore the fact that it's a HUUGE lie.
Also, I suspect that there are some that simply get a kick out of online flirting as a sport and post fake pictures in order to attract the more attractive game. Flirty emails and personalized/sexy pics are their trophies - especially in long distance / longer term online encounters! E-Date with caution!
