I stand by my statement. Well, I certainly defer to you on that one. Your comment was cut and pasted and I was basing my response on the re-poster's (any my) country.
I'm not exactly sure who you mean by "the P.C. nazis."
Making someone feel guilty isn't infringing on any rights, at least not here in the states. If it was, there certainly couldn't be protestors outside of abortion clinics. | |

I enjoy my days off, holidays just interupt the work week. I have people that need to concentrate on their jobs, not wanking off because you might feel it's necessary to celibrate something. You don't have days off because of anything that I (or anyone else) feel. Thankfully, most adults can concentrate on their jobs and still manage a day off in the middle of the work week. Even for "really important jobs."
I'm curious as to what holidays you associate with masturbation. That's a curious concept. Crass, but curious.
Actually, never mind. It would be better to get back to the point of the thread (because it's interesting) which has nothing to do with floating vacation days or "wanking." | |

Posted: 12/21/2005 11:34:42 AM | ONe thing is for sure we have to stop cattering to 3% of people that might be offended by CHRISTMAS, I am sorry I am sick and tired of happy holidays what in the heck is that. It is Merry Christmas and that is it.
Merry Christmas to all of you, and maybe if we start doing something about it they will leave it alone.
I had a doctors appointment the other day and as I was leving the staff told me have a happy holidays, my response to them was it is Christmas not holidays, the staff started to tell me how they were told not to greed people like that because they dont want to offend any one, I was offended by that. | |

I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2006, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures.

Posted: 12/21/2005 8:00:43 PM | First I would like to say MERRY CHRISTMAS! NOT happy holidays.......not seasons greetings etc etc etc....but MERRRRRRRRY CHRISTMASSSSSSSSS!
Okay..now that I got that out....
So I went to Tim Hortons today and upon ordering my coffee, the woman taking my order said " Is that everything hun?". I chuckled...thought nothing of it and drove up to the window. The window opened and the first thing the woman said to me was " I am so sorry for calling you hun...I hope I didnt offend you...." I just laughed and said "No worries...Im not one of THOSE people..." She smiled back relieved and apologized again then said " I just thought I should apologize...what with people saying we need to change Merry Christmas to Happy Holidays now...." I shook my head...advised her not to worry about me...and I wished her a MERRY CHRISTMAS as I drove away.
Then I was saddened....I thought..."What is this world coming to ...that a poor women in Tim Hortons felt so concerned over the word "hun"....one little word..not meant in any evil way...that she felt she had to apologize?".
Then I was MAD....I thought...you know...the day "they" tell me I can't say MERRRRRY CHRISTMASSSS....is the day they can lock us all up an throw away the key!!!!!
I have watched us all be quiet and passive enough ....we all need to stop being so darned easy going about this crap and stand up for what WE believe!!!
All those in favour, stand up, sit down do what you must but dont let them take away your MERRY CHRISTMAS! I opt we start a vote....all those in favour of MERRY CHRISTMAS never to be abolished....say AYE!!!!
Oh...and one more thing....MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!!! | |

My point is that there is an attack on Christians in this country. We need a Civil Liberties Union for our now minority caucasian christian sect.
The rumblings of a '60s' culture type of movement coming on? I was reading..somewhere.. so can't provide a 'link' to it at the moment that the Baby Boomers and the late 30ish crowd generally share similar beliefs. And, the generation which includes the 20s and 40s yrs old are on the flip side and those two share similar beliefs.
In other words
Group (in terms of age) 30s and 50 plus = similar beliefs
Group 20s and 40s = similar beliefs | |
