| Good Places to eat, and good places to take a date Posted: 9/18/2007 6:38:26 PM | Recently went to Dublins Crossing, an Irish pub out in Langley. The inside is very nice, not what you would expect from the outside, (it's in a newly built strip mall). There are 2 floors, (the 2nd floor was closed while we were there, I guess they open it for the evening), lots of woodwork. It feels like an old pub. The food was very good, menu has lots to choose from. Would be a nice place to go for a casual dinner.

| Good Places to eat, and good places to take a date Posted: 12/18/2007 7:14:37 AM | | I'm going snow-tubing at Cypress. I haven't done it in years, but it's cheap, requires little-no skill, is fun - depending on the company ;-), and beats the hell out of the coffee-shop "interview", in my books! google Cypress Snowtubing for details. | |

| Good Places to eat, and good places to take a date Posted: 8/29/2008 12:15:35 AM | Should you want to impress with good innvative food in an understated elegant setting, Parkside, on Haro west of Denman. Marvelous food, great winelist, excellent staff. For you oldtimers, its in the old Delilahs location in the bottom of an apartment building near Stanley Park. In White Rock, Pearl on the Rock - modern, elegant and sophisticated with a great wine list and excellent interesting food. For good wholesome fresh Italian food like mama made in the most marvelous kitsch decor, Osteria Napoli on Renfrew. The singer has the most wonderfully bizarre choice in music - some romantic old Italian songs mixed in with, well, everything else! For a first kiss date, The Hart House on Burnaby Lake. Sit outside in the summer and then walk down to the lake for the kiss after dinner..... | |
