| | Good Places to eat, and good places to take a datePage 2 of 2 (1, 2) | I would have to totally agree with you on that one. I am from Grove City. The food and the atmosphere is FABULOUS!!! You HAVE to try the french onion soup. The BEST around!!!! The Deep fried pretzels. OMG!!! IF you are taking a date? Ask for a table/booth in a corner. The staff are nice and could accomodate. You might have to wait a lil longer for it to open up, but it would be worth it. Dont forget the patio in the warmer weather too. Darn....maing me hungry for Rachel's again. LOL. | |

Kelly's Down By The Riverside in Bridgewater (Beaver). Every summer they turn the entire back area, which is pretty large, into a BEACH! Truck in loads of sand, palm trees, exotic plants, etc. I don't know of anywhere else in the Pittsburgh area that does anything like this. The food is great, too. I was just there last night and had a fabulous Salmon salad. On the weekends they bring in live bands. Monday nights is all you can eat crab legs. Prices are reasonable. If you have a Pittsburgh entertainment book there is a buy one get one offer.
Here's a short description from the website and the web site url.

Kelly's Down by the Riverside Saloon is a very unique establishment. Drive up to the front of building and you see a classic Irish Pub. Stepping inside the front door you will think that you stepped back through time to an authentic old Irish Pub. Everything that you could want in an Irish Pub is here.
Now for the real surprise. Step out to the back of the pub and you are magically transported back across the ocean to a Caribbean Island Paradise! The sand, the palm trees, the palm huts, it is all here! Your senses will deceive you. You will think you are on the islands!
Tonight, instead of just going out for the evening - go on vacation! Visit Kelly's Down by the Riverside Saloon located along the banks of the Beaver River in Bridgewater, PA. Just a short drive from anywhere in the Pittsburgh area.

| Good Places to eat, and good places to take a date Posted: 8/4/2009 6:19:23 PM | My favorite restaurant in the 'Burgh is Point Brugge Cafe in Point Breeze. It's a wonderful little corner cafe with awesome food and superb service. Everyone is friendly and their Sunday brunch is outstanding. It can be a great little date spot - it's not quiet, but it's fun.
Rafaelle's at Pgh Mills Mall is REALLY good. Best restaurant-in-a-mall I have ever been to, anywhere.

| Good Places to eat, and good places to take a date Posted: 8/7/2012 4:45:53 AM | | I'm from the Lehigh Valley area. (Allentown, Easton, Bethlehem). I'm thinking of a POF get together at the Sands Casino in Bethlehem. It's free, tons of parking, security everywhere, many restaurants and bars, outlet shopping, perfect place to mingle (and gamble, if you want). That way you don't have to book a place...just show up. Anyone interested? People can invite their favorites and singles from the Lehigh Valley can meet. Even people who aren't from the area, there is local lodging at reasonable rates. Casino is open 24 hours and live music. Do you think it would be a good place for a meetup? | |
