| I know, women want a dude that makes lots of money Posted: 3/8/2006 6:27:44 AM | | I agree that we all don't want a "dude" with money. I want a man that can carry on a conversation, doesn't lie, cheat and still knows what a real woman is. I think there are more men wanting women to take care of them in every way, sexual, financial, and just be the slave to them. I own everything I have and I am the one that worked and got it without a man's help. | |

| I know, women want a dude that makes lots of money Posted: 3/8/2006 5:52:51 PM | I couldn't care less if the guy had $$ or not. I dated a guy who was disabled, received a big cheque monthly from the government and on top of that he had a trust fund which his mom controlled. And guess what??? ....... he used me as his portable 24/7 banking machine. He didn't own any credit cards..... and yes, I was used as his credit card carrier for his huge expenses. Thank God, I'm a "Babe In Total Control of Herself", I made sure he paid me back every penny before I dumped him. I find that the less earned guy is more generous.
My mom always taught me "Work hard and be self-reliant.... don't rely on men".

| I know, women want a dude that makes lots of money Posted: 3/8/2006 6:03:24 PM | | Men are to provide. This is an old mentality but still rings true. A woman wants to know if she has a baby she can be at home for a few months if she wishes. A man is what he does. It is his Character, his strength. A successful man will always get it done. He has integrity. He likes to provide, to have. When most arguments with couples are about money. It is important to consider when dating. | |

| I know, women want a dude that makes lots of money Posted: 3/8/2006 8:56:40 PM | Well let's see, I've had long term relationships with an auto mechanic, an airline pilot, a vice president of a computer company, an engineer and I've dated a lawyer and a psychologist and a PhD in science,an opthamologist, and hmmmmmmm some other guys I forget at the moment...
But the POINT is that they all made good money, but the one I LOVED and who touched me forever was the auto-mechanic. Not much moola, but so much in every other way. The smell of gasoline on a man still kinda turns me on!!

| I know, women want a dude that makes lots of money Posted: 3/18/2006 1:16:56 AM | | Totally true. You know I am within the top 2% of income earners in the country and I can tell you that women don't just want a guy with money...they want a man of integrity, honesty, compassion, intelligence and that gives them respect and believes in their dreams no matter how crazy those dreams are... money is a means to an end..yes it will help you to do things you can't do without it but you know I would trade every penny I earn or ever would earn to feel again like I did when I was 24, broke and totally in love ... | |

| I know, women want a dude that makes lots of money Posted: 4/1/2006 8:08:40 PM | I still would be interested in the guy I already was interested in. There's the possibility that the guy with the Porsche is struggling to make the payments. Give me a guy who has a nice General Motors product any day of the week

| I know, women want a dude that makes lots of money Posted: 4/1/2006 8:42:23 PM | If a guy can well afford the Porsche, I would have no problem with that. Since I like sports cars the chances are I would meet someone who drives one because of the common interest. I would only be concerned about the Porsche if he struggled to afford to pay for the car.
Yes, I drive a GM car but you know what a guy driving something different is FUN. Why not have fun riding around in a car that's different from my own?
Guess this other guy tried to flamebait with posts about gals preferring guys with Porsches.
To me what matters in the end is how well the guy treats me and how well we get along, not what car he drives.

| I know, women want a dude that makes lots of money Posted: 4/1/2006 8:52:24 PM | | some chic wrote "getting off your ass and getting a job" In womanese this means I want a man who makes a lot of money. When women get defensive about this it simply means you have hit the nail on the head. The truth is that 99% of women want a guy who makes a lot of money. If you doubt what I say read further. Do an experiment. Place an ad on any dating site with a picture of an average or above average looking guy. Write a decent profile and be certain that you list an icome of over 100K per year. Now get pic of a guy who looks are in the range of Brad Pitt. Then write a great profile with all of the BS women are supposed to be looking for in a man and be sure to list that your income is in the 30K range. If you do not get at least 3 times as many responses from the ad listing an income of 100K I will hand you over the keys to my red 2005 Porsche 911 valued at $93,000. Lets see the hos top that one LOL | |

I drive a 94 van (paid for) I have a job that supports my kids, I have enough to go out have fun . I dont need need a fancy job to make the person i am.I would sooner take a woman who drives a 1996 volvo instead of a woman who drives a 2006 lexus and only cares about what she has .Put it this way if the economy dropped right this second what now?

| I know, women want a dude that makes lots of money Posted: 4/1/2006 9:21:16 PM | | You are right and smart for driving the van. I on the other hand saw the Porsche and being a lover of sports cars I just had ot buy it. It is a lot of fun to drive and it turns heads everywhere. However I am also dumb for thinking that women have evolved to a higher level of consciousness. It is sad that after 40 years of listening to the BS that women want to be equal to men but then they still want a man to pay for all the dates and always I repeat always expect the man to make more money. Then when they get around a dude with some cash they act like ****ING dogs in heat. This is pretty hypocritical if you ask me | |

| I know, women want a dude that makes lots of money Posted: 4/1/2006 9:23:16 PM | But there is also women they do not care about money as long they find right guy.lol

| I know, women want a dude that makes lots of money Posted: 4/2/2006 1:34:57 AM | | Why is it that men all think women only want them for their money? Personally if I guy can't keep me happy in the bedroom I don't give a rats ass how much money he has. END OF STORY. I have had men try to buy me in one form or another and its pathetic. The reason that alot of women are gold diggers is because the men are sooooooooo willing to buy them, they set themselves up as a mark. Personally I get insulted by anyone who would assume that just because he has lots of money i would date him. An ***hole is an ***hole whether he has money or not. ONe man actually tried to buy me from my boyfriend for $25,000 dollars (true story). Like I was a piece of meat to be bought and sold. That is pretty ****ed up. If men stopped trying to buy women maybe you might actually find the one or two that don't give a rats ass about your money and really just want you for love and sex. | |

| I know, women want a dude that makes lots of money Posted: 4/2/2006 6:08:22 AM | Designingwoman,
A man driving a Porsche need not be near broke. The guy may buy an older vintage model which would be far cheaper. Or bought it in an auction: DEA, FBI, any Law Enforcement. Or by the car cheaply from the father of a dead son who used to own it. (dream scenario that has happened, an old 550 or 356 laying forlorn in a barn)
I one day plan on buying a Porsche 550 Spyder replica, and get the engine from a totalled Porsche. Though I currentlty drive a FORD Mustang.
The astute will NEVER pay full price for anything. (check the book The Millionaire Next Door)
Same thing if a guy wanted to buy a Ferrari. Just get the vintage that few want: 308 GTSi (this is the car Magnum PI Drove) A typical price for this car fetches $20k~$40k, these had the looks but lacked the horse power. the Mustangs and Camaros used to do circles around them. Also Ferraris suck, they are HIGH maintenance. (yeah, beauty but no reliability) Seems like an Italian sports car almost always is expensive to maintain.
Exception is the Lamborghini cars. VW owns them (I think) and I think they have put quite a bit of German influence in them. Though I believe the Italians still control the design.
Back to the topic, there are some guys who take the seemingly expensive vacations. I have some friends that are couriers (sp) for banks or some busniess firm and sets them up for an affordable one week stay at cool locations in the world. One has to get past the "lug the brief case around" thing. Yeah responsibility of the documents contained within. Makes one feel like a poor man's James Bond .:wink or a TRANSPORTER.
Bottom line, NEVER pay full price. There are other moral and legal ways to get things one likes. A sage once said: one can live the champagne life on a beer budget. One only needs to know where and how to find opportunities and be crafty: I believe there was a title "How to visit Europe on a budget.

My response is you have to be joking right. Now women are even blaming men for women being golddiggers...Is there anything that women don't blame men for. Also what is this stuff about the bedroom? Why does the man have to be responsible for your sexual pleasure. Isn't that kind of shallow?

| I know, women want a dude that makes lots of money Posted: 4/2/2006 7:54:55 PM | MysticRogue,
I am with you 110%!! Not paying full price for quality things is the way I like to do things. I have very nice clothes, but you better believe it when I say that I look for the sales and make sure that I get my money's worth. For example, I bought a lovely cashmere sweater for the mere (no pun intended, could not resist!) $20 at a recent sale.
I would be more impressed with the guy who got an awesome deal on a Magnum PI Ferrari (I didn't even know one could get that particular model for just $20k or so--interesting!) than I would with the guy with the shiny new Porsche that he really could not afford. The guy who goes for the used boat is definitely in with Flynn as far as I'm concerned.
That's how I buy a car. I'll get a three year old Certified car, since the Certified gives me three years of driving under a warranty that covers everything but the simplest wear items. This allows me to not sweat it when the car breaks down, and I let someone else take the depreciation. I have a reliable, quality car that I didn't pay much for, and am happily driving around.
Mystic, I'll go shopping with you any time!! Name the place and time I'm yours!!
Cheers,

| I know, women want a dude that makes lots of money Posted: 4/2/2006 10:32:22 PM | | that's not true... i make enough of my own... so long as my man works towards something, we'll live a happy life... money makes the world go round, but it doesn't make a relationship... i'd give up all the money in the world if i had to choose it over love... | |
